Potential fix for noisy headphones - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey guys,
If you have problems with noisy headphones, try this one, in my case it solved the problem. You have to set the headphones to the lowest (-10) in ex kernel manager.

Hissing/static noise everytime G1 plays sound. Both speaker and headset. Just me?

I have a noise problem, I don't think it's quite the same as previously posted noise problems.
I get a hissinh/static noise from the phones speaker (on the back) and from headphones. It is only happening while the phone plays sound (and some seconds later). Every time I up or down the sound with the volume keys, there are noise coming out of the speaker for some seconds. Please report if you have the same issue, especially eith headphones.
I could live with the speaker-noise, it's not that big a deal.. What's worse is it is in the headphones. I have a quite low impedance set of in-ear plugs from creative (I am able to hear the hard drive spinning up in my old mp3-player, but no constant noise) Crap. I want to use the phone for music listening. Question is: software or hardware related? Using JF 1.51 ADP for the record
I hope it is hardware related - I bought mine off ebay, allthoug brand new and everything, I don't know how I would go about getting it fixed/a new one with no receipt. Shipping it back and forth to England isn't really tempting either.
It's not just you, it's piss-poor rf isolation on the audio outputs. Listening with bluetooth doesn't solve the issue either as bluetooth has its own noise.
Yeah, I have yet to listen to a decent pair of BT headsets.
So this is a known problem, and it's definitely a HW issue? The fact that it's only there when sound is played, and is also there with a headset (where shielding around connectors is not and should not be a problem at ALL) made me hope this was softwar related. Argh, what to do then? The sound quality despite this seemed prety decent, although a headache today prevents me from really listening to music and say for sure. Shame.
*Pondering refund options.*
Any chance of isolating around the connector and fixing this, if it is "airborne" caused noise, or will the noice enter the equation before the connector (cabling, sound chip)?
I will try with a relatively high impedance headset (sennheiser 555) and see if it is better there. But can't take them on the bus anyway. But a couple of Ωs could always be added somewhere along the cable and might do some good. Have to have the sound at the lowest levels with the in-ears. Maybe a software fix to lower the volume output will help? Or won't it, if RF noise is the cause?
red: I will buy this item and hope it helps. And will look into lowering the volume output when using headphones as well. Should be possible (atleast it usually is with tweaks in WinMo.)
I have similar problem with HTC Magic: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633035

[Q] Handset Speak Distortion

I hope this hasn't already be posted, I looked hard.
I've recently upgraded to the official 2.2 release, then replaced the kernel with the vodoo kernel to address the lag issue. Now when I use the handset for calls the callers voice is distorted. There is a tinny rattling like sound. Kind of the distortion you hear in the low bass range when your stereo is to loud, but this is distortion in the higher ranger, not low bass sounds. Happens at any volume level.
This doesn't happen when using the speakerphone, or ear piece, just the normal ear speak in the handset.
I'm looks through the Service Menu->Sound->Handset options but not really sure what all the setting ares.
Any help would be very much appreciated?
Thanks
John
I would flash one of the custom kernels or....... you could try galaxy tuner it allows to to equalize the sound. Worth a try
Me, I would just get one of the great roms already out there

[Q] Audio vocals are quiet

I've got a really odd problem where when playing audio through my headset, the lyrics are really quiet, and some of the background instruments are much louder. tried CM7 and MIUI and it was present in both, any ideas what could be up?
Problem solved, the problem was with the headsets I tested with not the phone. Since they were iPhone style they needed a converter cable to work properly. Happened to find the answer JUST after posting this even though I'd been searching before T-T

[Q] Mahdi ROM 2.9 bad sound quality

Hello guys!
After i installed the rom, I've found that when I listen to music and the volume is at max level, the sound is at bad quality, having distortion.
I tried tweaking the sound with ViperFX, and same problem.
I even installed the googymax kernel to reduce some sound gain, and even when that is under default, the distortion is present.
I would apreciate if you could help me with this problem! Have a nice day.

Bluetooth Volume Low

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to boost bluetooth playback volume. I have beats wireless studio headphones and they are definitely not as loud as they were when using them with my g3 on CM12. I do remember them being this low on the stock lg rom but when I switched over to CM the sound drastically increased. I am looking for a no root solution if possible as I am stock for the time being. I can't even feel any bass from these things and that's what they are supposed to be for lol. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Interesting. CM12 killed my BT volume on my HAM2. I find BT audio to be just as loud as other devices I have. One thing I've noticed is that BT max volume seems louder if I make sure volume is maxed out before pairing, especially on devices that take over phone volume controls.
Unpair the headphones. Turn phone volume to maximum. Turn headphones volume to maximum. Then pair.
I'm interested as well the mixer_paths would be where we need to look but they look different than I've seen before. I've found a mod from 2014 I'll report back.

Has someone sorted out the bt volume? I also have a very low volume over the bluetooth music, as I'm using it in the car...
It also depends on the headphone I have different Bluetooth headphones and some are loud and some are not.
Well it's not headphone previous nexus 5x was fine, if there is a way to increase bt volume
Viper4arise solved the problem, however 7.1.2 also make the bt volume normal, problem fixed
Just is someone have the samr issue
The P9 is also a little less loud on BT than any other phone i had.
