Bricked S7 after flashing wrong ROM - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

**WARNING: I'm a noob when it comes to technical terms, I JUST switched from iOS to Android, so please mind my low level of knowledge**
Okay, so I tried rooting my phone but I think I used the wrong ROM or something. And it keeps giving me this error. PLEASE help!!
My phone is a samsung galaxy s7 edge SM-G935FD (Purchased from the UAE and its unlocked)
The problem was that I tried rooting it using ODIN 3 then it gave me a FULL red screen, like nothing else, just plain red, then it loaded this screen (image below) and when I try getting my phone OUT of download mode, it just goes in it once again (Yes, this is what shows up after I tried rooting my phone now its stuck in download mode with this screen) Please help im really scared!!!

If you can put your S7 to DOWNLOAD MODE, just download stock rom from sammobile and flash it back to stock.

Hope it help!

Thanks, but the UAE version doesn't show up D: Which version do I use?
ALSO: Will I lose my data? If so, it's okay. Im just curious.

Yes you will loose all data. But i think that is not a problem since you dont have a phone right now i was reading that you can flash a g935f firmware too but not sure. .

Thanks. I found the UAE version for the SM-G935F model and it's downloading as I type this. Thank you all for trying to help me. I appreciate it.
Also, what version of ODIN do you suggest I use?
Thanks in advance.

Use the latest version, you can find download links on this thread.

Look if new software update is possible.

Hi, I suggest you youtube your model and watch a video walk through. I do this every time I get a new phone. Apologies to anyone if I've offended for mentioning youtube!

Its still not working! I need help, please. I do not have a phone and tried taking it to multiple stores but none offered to help me.

GT-i9505x Recovery

Hello, i own a 9505x not a normal 9505, and flashing the existing custom recoveries, do nothing, since i cant boot them.
The root works fine.
Since this 9505x is a demo unit, it has some software restrictions i want to eliminate, like it wont turn off the screen and will keep on playing a Samsung demo, it wont take over 20seconds videos and some other annoying stuff, i am trying to make it a retail unit.
Any suggestions ?
Why did you post this here in "Android Development"?
Can some admin post it in q and a?
Noone owns one?
same here mate!
i got my hands on a i9505X at work (with sim tray and mmc slot) but i can't deactivate demo (retail) mode. everytime you poweroff the device it wipes every change.
it tried flashed a i9505 stock rom via Odin and it fails in the modem.bin part...
i was sucesslfull at rooting the device, but now my i9505X takes ages to boot (stuck in Samsung Galaxy S4 for a while) and has no wifi
i tried almost every i9050 kernel available with no luck...
any ideas?

Kernel wont do anything for you, restore it and it will be fine. Did you succeed in pulling the recovery?
Why do you need to make the demo unit work?

Its working, i just messed up the recovery mode by flashing a i9505 recovery and now i cant restore it. I want to unroot it and flash the mew firmware from kies. Thats why i need the stock recovery
Any chance you can extract the stock firmware for your GT-I9505X and upload it please. I have the same device given to me by a Samsung Rep and I stupidly tried to install the stock formware for the i9500 varient and now its had it. It loads the samsung boot screen as soon as you turn it on and then just keeps restarting every 5 seconds. Im hoping if I can get hold of the original firmware and reflash it will work! Cant find the firmware anywhere!

You need a class 10 card for the guide, otherwise it will corrupt.
Well if you don't remember what is the official firmware you can use 3 methods
1.Visit the shop or the site where you bought it and ask about the firmware version otherwise just check it in the product info
2.If by any luck you have the brand box there is a section where it mentions about the phone details
3.Last you can try many firmwares one by one unless you find the stable one which will be easily to do with Odin V3 and if one firmware doesn't work simply load another one via download mode
*Tip*I once had a situations when i installed the wrong firmware and it literally couldn't even boot into download mode with the power + volume down way so i searched for it and the solution was to simply try other button methods it took me like 10 minutes but i figured out a way you better search for it cause there are plenty ways..
if you need any help feel free to find me [email protected] otherwise reply in the thread
Good Luck..

S7 Edge rebooting constantly

Hi folks, my wife's S7 Edge kept on freezing then rebooted itself. I tried everything to try and fix it and then performed a factory reset. All seemed fine until Google Play Services needed updating to enable other Google Apps to work. As soon as the updated Google Play Services app tries to install, the phone reboots itself and sometimes goes into a boot loop. I've taken out the memory card, cleared the cache and data in Google Play Services as well.
Can anyone help with this?
The phone is on EE in the UK.
Thanks in advance

Same problem here.. sometimes my s7 edge turns off and back on randomly.. then stuck in a boot loop.. after a while it will boot normally. But that will take like an hour or something..
I did try to remove the sd card ect.. but still the same problem.
Don't know what causes the problem.. thought I had it after a system update a or 2 month ago...
Maybe flashing a new stock Rom with firmware will work?
But I do think know if that voids the warranty or trip the Samsung knox..
Kind Regards,
Toxicz

Thanks for the information jetboss!
Does it matter if I flash a other kind of csc ect to the Galaxy s7 edge? I have read that you are able to flash the csc home if you want to keep your data. And the csc version if you want to completely wipe all the data on the phone..
I have a galaxy s7 edge (sm-g935f) from the Netherlands.
So downloading the latest Netherlands version on Sammobile should be fine?
Kind regards,
Toxicz

well from experience the files from Sammobile are just the pda files i dont think you need to flash the csc unless you're using a rom from the different region, i could be wrong but just use the Netherlands version.

This also happened to me twice, but it only did in a SPECIFIC physical location, while I had bluetooth / wifi / location services on (in Rio's Olympics, just outside of the Beach volleyball arena). I had stock rom, ZTO (Brazil) CSC. My phone is the Edge, international variant (G935F).
It got me thinking if it could be something related to a Beacon (BLE) or something like that. It never happened again, ever, only in an exact location, specified above.

S7 Edge Dual Sim , fake ROM ?

Hey guys.
I'm experiencing lot of bugs on my Galaxy S7 edge dual sim.
Some applications does not work, for example S Health, Samsung Pay.
I'm also experiencing problems, wherr I can't use SIM 2 for Mobile data. After setting it up, mobile data sometimes doesn't work.
Also few functions on side panel does not work properly.
Check screenshot in attachments, there are software informations.
Do I have official ROM ?
Or what can be problem? Is TouchWiz (or Samsung experience) so unstable? Or is it just my unique case?
Thanks for any help.
Download the app Phone Info and post some screens here..

Thank you. So all I have to do is install the newest firmware via odin, right ?:fingers-crossed:
/And one more question. Model SM-G935FD does not have Firmware for my country. I know it is designed for Southeast Asia and India, but .. May it cause any problems for me ? Like worse GPS locking or something. I dont think so, just want to make sure
The rom you have on the phone is for the G935F or Not G935FD version.
try installing an dual rom version instead of single rom version that may solve your problem. The G935F version will work but some apps may not work properly.
So I checked everything (BL,AP,CP,CSC) but UMS and started instalation.
/everything looks good, but I will let you know later after some using

Can anyone tell me how to deal with my Samsung Galaxy A7(2016),SM-A7100

As the title says I am facing a really big problem.
Yesterday I installed Hong Kong ver. os to my 7100 for fun but it has too much apps i hate so I want to install another OS but I forgot to log off from my Google ID.
So there it goes.
Now I can't boot to Android because it will stuck in to "SAMSUNG" and never goes further.
And I can't access to Recovery because it was banned from FRP.
And I can't install a new one via Odin because it is also banned !
Can anyone give me a advice?
THANKS.
What do you mean with banned? You can't be banned from download mode.
Post the odin log. It may help to see where the problem is.
