Help - vold.fstab bootloop - Blu Studio 5.0 II - Blu Studio 5

Hi, I'm new in all this stuff and as the title says I have a bootloop on my Blu Studio 5.0 II. So this is what happened, I rooted my phoe with the KingRoot app, everything went great, I did this because I wanted to use my SD card as Internal storage so I can download more apps (Blu Studio 5.0 II only has around 1 GB of Internal memory), I tried using extarnal to internal but this result in my phone not even recognizing my sd card, so I tried a different way, editing vold.fstab at /storage/etc, but this didn't work either, at settings>storage my phone shows 3 different storages: Internal, SD Card and Phone Storage (sorry if I translate something wrong my phone is in spanish I hope you know what I'm talking about), so afert I reboot my phone I had 1gb 1gb and 14gb, my sd card was at the last of this 3 storage instead of the first one, searching on internet I found "a solution" and this is when everything went wrong:
I copied the vold.fstab file to my pc, copy and paste the code, saved it, copied to my sd card ad paste it on /system/etc, with ES File Explorer and rebooted, this is when the bootloop started
I have a copy of the original vold.fstap and I did backup before this happen, so I tried to push the file with ADB Minimal and Fastboot as I saw on a video but I have erros like read-only file system, and if I try using adb shell > su It says [-] Connection to ui timed out, also adb root cannot run in production builds.
so I got tired of that and dowload a ROM that it's supposed to be the same as my model D532u and tried to use SP Flashtool but stuck on 0% I don't know I read that is a drivers problem but I had no problem with adb or fastboot
so I tried to fastboot flash system but I'm also stuck, it says "erasing 'system' ..." and nothing happens, it worked flashing recovery and boot.
can someone help me?

HELP!!! screwed up my MyTouch 3G

I have the MyTouch 3G with the Cyanogen Recover 1.4.
I had the latest CyanogenMod 4.2.7 with no problems. I tried applying the Enoch theme 1.4.7 and it put my phone in a boot loop. I tried factory wiping. I don't have access to any of the cyanogenmod zip files on my SD card because the Cyanogen Updater doesn't put it on the root directory of the SD.
So is there a way to fix this? Get back to any build of the phone to work? Can I access the SD card if I connect it via USB to my PC? PLEASE HELP!!!!
dannyfal!
i don t know if I undersoot you fully.BUT>>>> sometimes the SD card plays crazy,or get dammaged easy.In case you see the files on a computer but your phone is unable to read them is no big problem. If your phone is in bootloader mode and stucked there,it is a bit bigger problem.Have you ever applyed the hard reset ???It helps a lot. After that the SD card recognized by the phone as memory card2.So the phone is looking for the simple name SD MMEMORY.Or sd card. This is just matter of time. You give a name ending sd crad.bat and you can erase this bad sector data.In this case you might loose the program and your important data with it.BUT>>> you save sd card, and other files on it.
If you can t make it work coz your phone is in boot loader modus, than you need professional help. And a new rom update.
helos * hopr helped somehow*

You can enable usb mode in Cyanogen's recovery image by connecting the usb cable, dropping in to the console and typing (without quotes) "ums_enable" move your ROM and when you're done "ums_disable"
then "reboot recovery" and reflash.
If you don't have a computer you can use the console to my the files.
mount /sdcard <- Mounts the fat32 partition
ls <- See what files/folders are in the current directory
cd nameoffolder < change directory
then once you're in the folder where the ROMs are stored (cm-update, I believe) you can either move or copy them to the root.
use 'ls' again to find the filenanme of the ROM you want to copy/move..
cp name-of-rom.zip /sdcard <- to copy the ROM to the root, or use 'mv' to move the file.
EDIT: I am an idiot. You're on a MyTouch so you can't use the console in recovery. In that case connect your phone to your computer (which has the sdk setup with drivers) and type the commands I stated about after 'adb shell'

Android works only after first boot?

I have installed many different android versions , all are working good but when i reboot and go back to android command line says "/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off" and and under that text "/# [52.9114021 ACR=3107 FL1256 RAAC=60" what that means ? how i can boot android many times without allways installing android again... before /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off it says mount: mounting/dev/block/loop0 on /data failed: invalid argument Failed failed to mount /data
When you start Android from SD card with Haret it creates an Android folder for cache and etc. When you reboot your phone and want to start Android again delete the Android folder from the SD card before you do it and it works fine again.
i just have one android folder and it has haret.exe and other files inside
One solution (not sure if it will work in your case - has been working perfectly for me) don't copy the files in the root - instead make a folder e.g AndroidTest and copy everything inside this folder. You have to change your startup.txt to reflect this change as followings:
set cmdline "rel_path=AndroidTest"
Now start your clrcad and haret.exe from within this folder.
OK , i found the problem ... i think , i have 32GB memory card (Sandisk) and it did not work , then i tried small 2GB (nokia) card and its working good ! 32GB has really slow writing speed but i dont know is that the problem...
i've noticed i can NEVER reboot. i'm gonna try deleting the android folder but that is kind of retarded... this seriously keeps me from playing with it.
in my experience if i try to reboot it will fsck forever on the sd card
is there a preferred method to restart the phone without corrupting the sd card ?
hi!
hi friend,
after you first reboot. if your back in winmo use your file explorer and explore your sd card. look for the folder name android and just delete.its a bug.
you are entirely correct. i tried it but didnt post back. that was the problem. i can successfully reboot android now! thank you
I tried this. I also have the gen y dualboot installed on my device. After I deleted the android folder and tried to reboot android, some where in the command line it says "cannot create android folder" then scrolls down and says rebooting in...5, 4, 3, etc. and it just restarts my phone, and doesnt load android. can someone help me?

[Q] not seeing files on SD card from PC

ok i'm using taboonay 2.0 with Thor's 3.0 kernel. I can see all the files on my SD card through root explorer and if i take the card out and hook it up to my pc. My question is why when i plug my iconia into my PC i can see the card, but can't see any files on it? Wasn't 3.2 supposed to fix this or it something on my end? haven't tried to reformat it cause it isn't a big issue to me just trying to figure out why.
i have sorta similar issue. I can access sdcard in root explorer or other apps, but if i pop it out it get interesting. I can still browse the sdcard contents in any file explorer even though i am holding it in my hand. Also i have not been able to access the sdcard from the latest clockwork recovery. The only directory there is LOST. So i take it to the pc and same thing, only the LOST directory, pop it back in the tablet, fire it up, browse to /sdcard directory, all the files i have downloaded are right there still along with that LOST directory......
So i cant flash anything now. Tried reflashing CWR from the Acer Recovery Installer, no progress. Tried formatting sdcard on pc using the tool in the sticky, same thing, cannot access sdcard in CWR.
Help.
**update: so here's what i found, apparently there is a directory called sdcard on my tab that is actually local system memory. It has all my downloaded files in it. I mounted the tablet with USB to my pc and moved one of the files to the sdcard(which is empty by the way, everything is going to the local ram for some reason) and rebooted into recovery and then it showed up in CWR!
So all this time my tablet has been syncing my google music beta music for offline use, around 10 gigs of it, and it dumped it all on the local memory so now im almost out of ram.....with an empty sdcard.....great
I believed you guys are having this same problem...please see this thread about directory naming structure...etc

Unable to push rom to device after having formatted internal SD card using CWM

After having formatted my internal sdcard, I'm unable to flash any rom. I've installed cwm revorery and would like to push a rom to the sdcard in order to be able to flash it, because right now theres nothing on my card (its totally formatted without any system on it).
When i try to push a file via toolkit to the internal sdcard there appears the following error message:
- exec ' /system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -
Can anybody help me out with this issue?
It looks like the error is saying it is missing a file in /system/bin/, which makes sense since internal storage is completely wiped.
Just start a command prompt in Windows and change directory to where adb.exe is in the android sdk. Then copy the ROM you want to install into the same directory as adb. Use the command "adb push blahblahblah.zip" to push the ROM from your PC to the internal storage. Obviously replacing blahblahblah.zip with whatever the ROM filename is.
Toolkit's can be handy, but before you use one you need to know how to unlock your phone and copy files to/from your device without a toolkit. So that way when problems arise you know what probably went wrong and how to fix it.
Probably not really helpful, but I was able to push files to /sdcard when I wiped all options and formatted Data with TWRP.
Same problem here
Please help us. I accidentally did the same. Now I can't copy file to the device. CWM is still functioning but there is nothing left to flash.

Just flash TWRP recovery via Fastboot then mount the SD card as USB storage. Once you have done this you can copy a new Rom over and flash it.
Thanks for your quick reply!

You're right! I've learned that by wasting hours..
How do I change directory to where adb.exe is? what is android sdk? I'd be very happy if you could explain me some of the steps to achieve that or lead me to a tutorial where I can learn it.
Thanks again!

Also:
Once you are in a ROM again, download GooManager and look on Google for the easy steps to flashing TeamWinRecoveryProject.
Thank you so much EniGmA1987!! This is awesome!
It finally worked out for me! BIG THANKS!
Your welcome
Was it easy enough even without the use of a toolkit?
Your tutorial is very clear and easy to understand. I followed all the steps, but still couldn't find the pushed ROM on my SD card (after having waited for about 5 minutes). So I mounted all you can with cwm and used the toolkit - and it worked! Probably it was the directory that was set right after having followed your tutorial. Thanks again!!

Flash it normally via recovery like most other people?
I use adaptable storage so when I download an update in my device and reboot in order to install it the storage is not mounted so I cannot access the downloaded file.
Now I cannot access into OS when I boot the device I stuck on cyanogenmod logo and never boots into the OS, so the only way for me to solve the issue is to flash it via adb..
used to work just fine, I really cannot understand why this time it didn't, not sure where the fault can be, on the mobile phone or in my computer...?
Thanks
a strange thing happens, not sure why it happens but when I try to boot with my sd card the phone is stuck in cyanodenmod logo while booting and it never boots, when I remove the sd card it boots normal but as I set the phone to use sd card as internal memory I get a message that I should insert my sd card, so I insert my sd card and everything works fine.
I cannot restart my phone with my sd card on it because it won't boot, so I have to remove the sd card, let phone boot and then insert back the sd card... pain in the a$$...
Not sure why this happens, any suggestion?
Thanks
