6045O Update to MM - Onetouch Idol 3 General

For any users of the 6045O device from Cricket Do Not!! use Mobile Upgrade Q to revert back to 5.0.2. IT will not work. Just tried and it upgraded me to 6.0.1. If you want to revert back you MUST use the Eluga Switch program.

The OTA apparently hasn't come out yet, but if you choose not to wait you can upgrade using Mobile Upgrade Q and it'll do it now.

Can you explain to me how. I have a Cricket version. And I have no ideal what Mobile Q is. Step by Step instructions would be greatly appreciated. My phone is 100% stock. No root or anything.

If you want to update just let the update come. It'll be automatic. The reason I was using Mobile Upgrade Q is because my phone was rooted and I was returning to cricket firmware. I need the partitions for the cricket variant to get my phone working again.

Which version of mobile upgrade q did you use that upgraded you to 6.0.1?

I used mobile upgrade Q 5.0.0 & it reverted me back to lollipop. No MM (6045O)

I did the same earlier with 5.0.0. Before I came across this thread. I want to verify which version so I can make sure if I do it again it's actually gonna upgrade lol.

It's also been close to 3 months later so with updates to the program things might change. Since I don't have the phone anymore I can't test old versus new so all I can say is good for you and hopefully it continues to work for you if you run across any issues.

I hope that there is continued support for the Idol 3. It was a good phone to me and I loved it. I was going to get the Idol 4, but for the price the phone internals weren't worth it. At 299 the Idol 4 would've been perfectly priced.

U need to downgrade back to 10o and contact att for the q update. When you have the q update installed use the manual root method for 10o from autoprime. Skip adb step 5. Once rooted take the kitkat update and root will stick.
Thanks for the reply but that sounds like too much work. I'll just wait for an easier method. Thank you

I rooted mine on 4.2 via kingoapp.com. Root stayed with the 4.4.2 update but if it didn't I was going back to Kingo to root again. I've rooted 4 different phones with it, the last being a T-Mobile Nexus 5 with KitKat and it's always worked fast and easy. Some people bad mouth it but it works for me.

[Q] sm-n900v Lollipop ROOT Question

I am not sure if someone already post this but here is my question.
I have had android tablet in the past and have always rooted them for games and TitaniumBackup. I recently got a NOTE 3 from Verizon and was looking to ROOT that also as well but to not avail. For random reasons Verizon locked the boot loader(If I am wrong plz correct me). I just updated to 5.0 Lollipop. Is my device still unrootable ( if that is a term. DERP!!!). The model number is sm-n900v. Can anyone help me? Post links on how to's or anything any help would be grateful. Thank You.

Hi guys, I'm on bone stock 4.4.4 and Verizon is pushing the 5.0 update as we speak.
I've had the note three on stock for too long and I need some new options for multi window etc so I need root. Am I seeing that a root for 4.4.4 is in progress? If so, I'll stay there, but I really want to strap/update to 5.0 afterwords. Anyone have some thoughts about the difficulty of maintaining root on the switch to 5.0?

Verizon rolling out 5.1.1 to N6

http://www.droid-life.com/2015/07/01/verizon-says-android-5-1-1-lmy47z-is-ready-for-its-nexus-6/
It's happening! LMY47Z.
Not yet hitting my phone, but perhaps by tomorrow ...
I had Verizon's 5.1 build on my phone, but I didn't wait. I just flashed 47Z because I'm on an AT&T MVNO, so I don't know if I would have received the OTA.

Someone on androidcentral forums confirmed it is. they received LMY47Z as an OTA to their verizon nexus 6 last night coming from E.
I got the ota yesterday, unrooted, flashed stock recovery, and went to accept the ota, started flashing then it said error and stopped, now it says up to date
I just want know if they changed radio but I doubt
Does it have any "Verizon authorized software" added?
I hope it doesn't but according to the letters Verizon sent out responding to the FCC complaints that is why they would not activate a nonVerizon Nexus 6 on their network until Google said that the software could be sent out to those phones via the OTA.

To anyone who's receiving the OTA from LMY47E to LMY47Z - if you're able to, please take a few minutes to grab the OTA URL and share it in this thread. Instructions for getting the OTA URL can be found here, and this will allow people who haven't received the OTA to sideload it.
Thanks!
Question, I have a VZW Nexus 6 I got from a Verizon store a few weeks ago. My firmware version is LMY47l

Nope and if a phone from Verizon came with that, you were likely sold a returned device instead of a new one.

No, this is my fault. I tried out the Android M preview, and got tired of the FC's and bugs, so I used the Nexus Tool Kit to flash back to stock, and I guess I grabbed the wrong firmware download. I have the Z version for Verizon and will flash that to get me back on track.

I would wait. It hasn't been released for this area yet and if you manual upgrade a soak you may never get the ota. From what I've seen I'd rather Moto wait and give us a more stable release than what's been released so far. I'm not sure why everyone is in such a hurry, we will get it and it will be more stable.

Yeah, same goes for the AT&T version (v520), no root, no twrp, not even barely any discussions.. Smh, if AT&T didn't give it to me for free i'd probably have just gotten a Nexus lol.. At least you can have fun with those..
I was able to get adoptable storage with the update now with a few adb commands
What version is this Nougat? (letter letter letter number number letter, can also be known as build number, not 7.0 - version of Nougat is obvious enough)
I plan on building AOSP for this, but I would REALLY prefer to match the exact version.
And I can't just run the update on my tablet, it's rooted and unlocked and I don't think I know the procedure to relock it.
Never mind, it said 7.0.0-r1.

Hmm, weird cuz mine keeps saying "your device is up to date" and it was last updated on January 10th.. But I'm still on 6.0.1..
EDIT: Also wanna add, I downloaded LG Bridge via a recommendation from another site that stated that was the only way the new update would be accepted, and that didn't work either.. When i click "Software Update" it says, "Cannot check the software version, Try again.", so I guess I'm s.o.l. for now..
I deactivated from AT&T when I switched to Verizon last month, but I still use it on WiFi and it works fine so I'm not sure why it's not working..

Yeah, same goes for the AT&T version (v520), no root, no twrp, not even barely any discussions.. Smh, if AT&T didn't give it to me for free i'd probably have just gotten a Nexus lol.. At least you can have fun with those..

Hmm, weird cuz mine keeps saying "your device is up to date" and it was last updated on January 10th.. But I'm still on 6.0.1..

That is really strange. My guess would be is it hasn't been pushed out to every device yet. I happen to have checked for updates on the day AT&T pushed it out. Their website wasn't even updated yet when i got it. I wouldn't think deactivating it would cause it to lose the ability to update but i am kind of new to android so i am not 100% sure. I would just keep checking for updates or maybe contact AT&T and see if they could give you an answer. They do have a section in the Device Support to display information about software updates. I tried attaching a link to it but i can't as i have less than 10 posts. You can search on google AT&T software updates and it should be the top link. You'll then enter your device and scroll down to software updates. They do have a Troubleshoot and Resolve software updates page you could check out
Sweet. My fido v522 just completed its Nougat update. No more sluggish keyboard......for now. Lol

Thanks, it actually worked. The only difficulty I had was locating the SD card number. In the video the dude first says type sm lists-disk, however, when you actually look at the video later, he typed sm list-disks. That made all the difference.

Your Welcome ^_^
I notice Wi-Fi issues on my Fido V522 after the nougat update. It would get horrible wifi speeds with a AC 4X4 (1900) network and frequent network drops compared to Marshmallow.
