[Q] TWRP and modified boot.img. Note 3 SD - Kenzo.

Hello,
I've a question about TWRP for Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon - Kenzo. If I flash it and don't install modified boot.img I'll go into bootloop? Or it's happening only on older official ROM's?
But for example if I need that modified boot.img and I flash it for my currently using ROM and everything is working ok... But if later update comes to my official ROM I need to re-flash boot.img again for that new version of ROM to boot into TWRP again or it's permanent?
Thank you for the answer.
SOLVED: Yup, I need to re-flash new boot.img

Hello, YOU MUST FLASH TWRP THROUGH FLASHTOOL AND THEN ( very important) you MUST BE REMOVED THE USB CABLE and finally YOU'll ACCESS TO THE TWRP.

MIUI 10.3.6.0 with Root

There is a new update for the Redmi Note 7, I have the Bootloader unlocked so the OTA won't arrive, so I downloaded the update in a .zip file (about 400-500MB)
I have magisk on my phone. I will install the update via the Xiaomi updater, because it is recognized as 10.3.6.0
There will be some problems if I update like this?
OTA will arrive whether your bootloader is locked or unlocked. OTA won't affect by bootloader status.
If you have custom recovery in your phone such as TWRP, you have to download full ROM zip (around 1.6GB), not OTA zip and then flash from your custom recovery.
Let it boot once, then reboot to recovery again and then flash magisk.
You can't install update from updater app, even it recognized updater zip files.

anyone knows how to extract the boot.img

Would someone please share global OOS11 stable patched_boot.img?

Everytime I have to extract a payload.bin it never works when I need it to... Would someone please share their patched.boot.img for the global stable OOS11?
Thank a TON!!
Here is the patched Magisk 21.0 boot image for US phones (international). I didn't name it anything fancy, just trying to get it uploaded for people.
Remember to flash in both slots in fastboot.
Couldn't post the image here since it's too big. Hopefully my drive link works.

open beta 3 patched boot.img in2025
How about a patched boot.img for open beta 3 for in2025? finally got open beta 2 rooted and updated to 3 , tried installing magisk direct and to inactive slot which failed every time. Kinda disappointed by the lack of support for this phone.
If you can get a hold of a full rom for beta 3, you should be able to get a copy of the stock boot.img using Payload Dumper. You can patch it using Magisk Manager w/o root and try booting with it first (before flashing it directly).
If the latest Magisk Manager from the Stable branch doesn't detect root properly (shows N/A), I'd recommend trying the Beta Branch.
Once you confirm you have root detected and working properly, you can reboot back into Fastboot and flash the boot.img you used.
