How To Enable Download Booster? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Hey! I saw that older Samsung phones as well as other variants of the S7 have an option called Download Booster. I Have a G930P with the G930U firmware flashed and not rooted. I can't find the option, anyone know how to enable it?
Thanks!

I too am looking for some pointers on this one. Does AT&T WiFi Calling, VoLTE work on a G935A on a T-Mobile ROM?

you can get it to work, you download the tmobile nougat firmware form the T-mobile Galaxy S7 edge xda forum. Then unzip it after it downloads. Also download princecosmy's odin to bypass the SHA256 error.(You can find that there too). In odin, put the AP,BL,CP,and CSC into their cooresponding slots.AP can take a while to put into tis slot but will do so eventually. As far as the wificalling,it gives an ER06-Invalid SIM,and VoLTE wont work, although Ive heard of some SM-G935F users being able to get both features working

Flashing Verizon G935V to G935U to work on Boost Mobile?

I tried searching and found no answers. I have a Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge that I already paid in full and would like to use it on Boost Mobile so wondering if flashing it to G935U would enable the bands that I could use on it.
Did you ever get it to work???

I accidentely flashed an AT&T stock rom onto my verizon S7 Edge :(

I swear I am not stupid, I realize this sounds insane, but originally my S7 Edge had the model number: SM-G935V.
I soft-bricked the phone trying to get the safestrap feature and when I went into the download after bricking it, it had the model number: SM-G935A. I tried multiple times to flash a stock verizon rom, but it wouldn't work. When I saw the model number I decided to try the AT&T firmware on a whim... and it worked
I don't understand how this happened, I feel like the MD5 file I used had a problem with it, or it was not made for verizon (but instead AT&T) but i desperately need to fix this. What do I do?
AT&T has a newer bootloader than Verizon, so... you can't go back. Not until Verizon releases a firmware with the same bootloader version.
Install BRA1 Verizon s7 edge image with Odin, Prince comsy version.

I think I might want to install the G935U (AT&T) firmware on my Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge G935V currently with Android 8.0
I have downloaded ODIN, Samsung S7 Edge drivers, and G935U (July 24,2018) AT&T version.
Is there any reason I can't do this to my G935V? I am confused on the Boot Loader issues and how they apply
with firmware changes for example when changing a G935V to a AT&T G935U.
I also would like to know if all features continue you work and are there any features you loose.
I have the G935V switched from CDMA to GSM and added a APN config for my Straight Talk AT&T sim.
It works but I don't have LTE band 17 which is used in my area. I barely get coverage on Band 2 in my area.
Thanks,
Ken
The Oreo firmware is out here:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935U/
I read that I can install the firmeware of sm-935U in my sm-935V, but when i enter in sammobile page ,there is a huge list of 935U firmeware, wich of those do i have to select to work fine in my phone

ATT Stock Oreo Firmware

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone point me to a download link for the stock AT&T Oreo firmware for the s7 edge. I found a few but the AP file is coming up as a zip. Even after I rename it to follow the meta.md5 filename odin gives an error which states something about binary mismatch. I dont really want to go back to the unlocked firmware because I will loose the stock ATT& features.
Thanks for the help!

It's not just a name it's an extension you can't just rename it.
Use the samfirm app from xda for a better download rate.
Put it on automatic and decrypt download.
Model SM-G935U
ATT as region code for att firmware.
When you click check update it should say this
G935UUES4CRG3
That is that latest firmware for att.
Hi,
I did change the file extension as well not just a simple rename. Ok I will give that a try. I thought samfirm was discontinued? Also if i download the SM-G935U that is just going to be the unlocked firmware isnt it? Sorry still new at this.
depends though, if your model number on the back of your phone is sm-g935a or sm-g935u
att has 2 different phones
both have att branding and wifi calling volte and apps
as long as the firmware you install has the csc ATT then it should be fine.
if you have the 935a then you can download at the att sections of the forum.
Samfirm may be an old tool but it still works as intended
if u have the 935a just change it to SM-G935A in the samfirm app.

Can't I just install a g935u firmware on a g935a phone?
I just don't want to keep AT&T apps.

SM-G975U1 Firmware Flash to AT&T

I bought a replacement S10+ for my AT&T account. I got it from Samsung and chose the Unlocked version. Come to find out, it appears the unlocked version does not support AT&T NumberSync. I have a Galaxy watch that I wanted the NumberSync feature with my S10+. Can I download an AT&T firmware and flash it to my phone to have it work with the AT&T features such as NumberSync, VoLTE, etc. Is it as simple as just downloading the AT&T firmware, launching Odin, rebooting phone into Download / Odin mode, selecting the files and flashing? Thanks.

If you can find the AT&T firmware to flash you should be able to switch. The problem is that unlike Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile AT&T apparently doesn't release their firmware to third party sites like Samfirm and it isn't available to download on the XDA thread with carrier specific firmware links.

Hi i noticed that u purchased a unlocked version from Samsung.. I actually was with att n purchased a att version of the s10 plus.. Then i ended up switching to tmobile.. N i ended up having my att version s10 plus
UNLOCKED.. But being that its an att s10 plus i can't use some of the apps from tmobile.. Im not planning on buying another s10 plus just for some apps.. But if you are willing like I am.. I would trade my att s10 plus for your Samsung unlocked version... Pm me if u r interested if not thanks.. I think it will work out well for both of us

I read the thread in this forum that linked the firmwares, and there was AT&T, but I'm confused now on the bootloader version. Do I have to flash to a SM-G975U then to an AT&T firmware, then to U1 again? idk. Also, I found this from a google search and downloaded it the other day, an AT&T firmware: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...SM-G975U1/ATT/download/G975U1UES1ASDB/273101/
