Picture and Video Capture Issue - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

I've noticed that every single time I install a ATT OTA Update my phone will sporadically save and not save pictures I've taken. If I record video sometimes it'll go 16 seconds or 1 minute 12 seconds (basically random lengths) and just stop recording. Any video playback rather it be YouTube, Facebook etc
...it'll play so long and just stop. Every single time I have to boot into recovery and wipe my phone completely and then it's back to normal, anybody else have this issue?

I also had this issue. Unfortunately I had to resolve my issue the same way..

Go to settings / applications / all and clear data for camera.
If it doesn't fix the problem, do a Wipe data/factory reset + Wipe Cache
Reboot?
Or, consider if you have installed any other app that is hogging the camera.

I have the exact same problem!
First time I got this was after running com.magix.camera_mx from Google Play.
The app made a force close, and it kept doing that. Didn't think much about it.
But after a few minutes I tried using the stock app.
It opened, and I saw the camera for ~2 seconds, until the auto focus kicked in.
When the auto focus kicks in, the screen freezes, if you close/kill/whatever the app and reopens it. It just shows a black screen with that error OP wrote.
"fix":
Hold down power button, and hit the reboot.
You now have until next time it tries to auto focus.
Repeat until you got your picture
Another "fix":
Factory recovery
This gives you a few hours to play, where the auto focus and everything is working
Without installing/doing something, it suddenly "dies" again.
I'm ready to try any suggestions there is, since this can be temporary fixed with factory reset I assume its a software error.
But I won't root or flash anything, as I want to be able to sent it in for repair if needed.

Android 4.2.2, I9505XXUAMDE
Update: After more testing I found out the camera ONLY works when it's plugged into the 2A charger or battery is full. :s - I will send it in for repair tomorrow (7 may 2013)
Update 2: Got it back from repair, there was both software update for the phone. And after that it asked me to upgrade the camera firmware. Everything seems to work fine now.

Youtube app problem; video freezes 20 to 30 seconds in

As the title says, whenever I try to watch a video on the youtube app, it will always freeze 20 to 30 seconds in, and it's quite annoying since I rather use the app than watching on chrome.
I've tried restarting my phone several times, reinstalling, downgrading and tried using other youtube apps (ogYouTube and viral lite).
Phone model: ALE-L02 V100R001C672B037
There's an update available for B140 but can't update since I have a custom recovery.
Any ideas?

Rebooting every time I download big files

When I download anything from direct downloads or tormenting my phone will glitch and take forever to unlock and sometimes freeze with my always on clock on and I have to do a reset by holding all the buttons or it will just randomly restart.
This is very annoying since I use my phone to download lots of things.
Factory reset, swap SD cards, call for a replacement. Sadly without any form of root that's 99% of the troubleshooting.

Video and audio failure after self reboot

I have a US factory unlocked version of the LG G6 and it has been working fine up until about two hours ago. The phone rebooted itself for no apparent reason but after it started back up, it wasn't able to record or play any sort of video. For example, using the camera app, snapchat etc for video recording either crashes the app or tells me "video recording failed." Plus, the phone can't play videos on any platform such as youtube, facebook etc. Furthermore, audio does not play in any form (ringtones, music etc).
I've tried rebooting the phone but i noticed now it takes upwards of 5 minutes to restart as opposed to the 30 seconds it used to take. I also tried factory resetting it but that had no effect on the problem. I'm not too sure on what else to try, so i'm wondering if anyone here has any idea.
If you are using a custom rom try to switch to stock, disable root and lock the bootloader. If the problem persist is a factory problem.

WhatsApp randomly hangs for a few seconds on the 6P

Hello
There is an issue I've been having since I've upgraded from the 5X to the 6P.
WhatsApp sometimes hangs for a few seconds...even sometimes when it's stuck and I force the touchscreen I get a crash report menu.
I had this issue in Nougat and Oreo. I didn't suffer this issue in the 5X.
So I always thought this was related to the free RAM. In the 5X WhatsApp Is not kept in background so much due to low free ram..
In the 6P I always have more than 1GB of ram and WhatsApp is kept in background and this issue happens more often.
In another words...this seem to be an issue with the "resume process" of WhatsApp. When pulling it from background to foreground. Sometimes happens when you open a chat...depends. But never happens if you have been using the app for a while....this is only triggered randomly in the first seconds you open an app.
One example: I'm at the lift I unlock the phone and quickly press WhatsApp icon and it hangs for 5-10 seconds.
Obviously this happens sometimes but a few times per day and it's irritating.
Anyone is experiencing this?
Kind regards
Sebastian
