Custom binary blocked by FRP on SM-G531f while having unlocked for OEM - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

He guys,
I have a serious problem with my SM-G531f model phone on 5.1.1. I've rooted the phone and made sure that I booted stock, after wipe/factory reset and having ticked the box that says that it may be unlocked for OEM under development, I even unticked the box for checking the apps through usb. Of course I didn't make a Google-account at that point and disabled the Samsung account. Then again, when I'm done rooting the phone, and after I added the Google-account, I can't go back to TWRP because of this error with the FRP blocking custom binary.
I've tried many times now, and still this message keeps popping up. I don't know what to do anymore about this.
Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong or any advise on how to keep this error-message at bay?
Thanks!

And the solution is as simple as can be. Remove Google account and then reboot into TWRP. After installing whatever it is you want to do in Recovery simply reinstall Google account and let it sync. No more binary blocked by FRP.

I join this old thread because I got the same issue on a Samsung Grand Prime. Do you confirm that the issue is solved by installing TWRP and rooting with no Google account active?
Thank you
Aldo

you must reflash stock rom before do anything

hi i removed google account using 2 ways
first one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa8vdiIf84&t=187s
second https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYu1h6_2tyE

i have same issue here, did you find any solutions ?
AFAIK when you factory reset your phone etc. if rooted you must remember to go back into Developer Options and re enable OEM Unlocking. This depends on the method you used to root, if you flashed dm-verity then you "May not" have this issue but cannot say for sure.
If it is already too late for you then I think you need to flash stock via Odin, plenty of threads out there on where to find the firmware (SamMobile) and how to do it. Even a quick google of the error gave me plenty of results...
One thing I have read is that you may have to keep trying to get your phone into download mode as the timing is much stricter with this error message.
I've the same problem with my g935x blocked on FRP when ii treid to root if any one can help .plz

@djluisbento This method seems to be interesting. But would you please clarify more about it. How to install the apk file on official recovery? Or it's enough to have the pendrive connected? And if yes, when this step should take place, after flashing the official ROM or when?
I'm stuck in a boot loop into recovery mode with dm-verity error, and unfortunately I have the FRP locked, so I can't install TWRP to flash the no-dm-verity.zip file to skip it.
Appreciate your suggestions.
I have the same issure. stock firmware wont install either. im just stuck on the FRP screen, cant even get into recovery
Same issue here, please help
Everything was fine with rooting and installing TWRP. after that did a restart/ attempt to goto twrp recovery, from then the s7 edge is stuck at "Custom Binary Blocked By FRP" and doesnt boot. please help!!
Have you do a Wipe then Format Data.
Then flash the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip in TWRP
Only if you want internal storage or data to work in TWRP:
Go to [Wipe] -> [Format Data] (not advanced wipe) -> type "yes".
WARNING: This will wipe your internal storage, disable encryption, and factory reset your phone!
Go to [Reboot] -> [Recovery].
If you want to be rooted with SuperSU:
Download the latest SuperSU by Chainfire.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the SuperSU zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.
If you only want a bootable system partition or writable data in TWRP:
Download the latest dm-verity and force encryption disabler zip.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.

Had that problem with a brand new phone, just wanted to get into download mode to see if the phone was tampered with and boom, flash screen with the red warning, flashed stock KSA (phone original CSC) , worked and phone was formatted, another surprise was faced, google did not accept my gmail account, had to shut down phone for 72 hours as read in my google search for people encountering same issue, once the 72 hours passed I was able to sign in and using my phone again.

Yes, flashed both Zips in recovery. I used my regular google account during the initial set up. If i wait for 72 hours, will the phone just boot back online just fine? Still, how do i make sure it wont goto the FRP lock again while trying to reboot or reboot to TWRP?
Solved,
Flashed with stock firmware, logged in with same google account, rooted with TWRP, installed Zubi's sound mod. Made sure to keep the 'OEM Unlock' stay turned on.

But U did this after 72 hours?
There are several methods depending on firmware version installed on your phone. Basically you have to enter in your phone, launch chrome, install an app which gives you the possibility to log into your google account from chrome and not set-up program.
I used successfully the Bluetooth method. Search for with google. You need a bluetooth headset and follow the steps described on youtube.
BTW. My phone was brand new and I flashed different official samsung firmware ( csc). I had to change google password in between and that resulted in FRP lock....
The wait time is 24 hours as is stated in google docs from site

Hello I have a related problem, opened a new thread, but my thread was closed, because my problem is related to this one, but more complicated. I have the same problem with FRP lock as described here, I can turn on the download mode but it wont be recognized by my computer. I tried different usb cables, drivers, even computers, it wont help. I cant flash it with odin, smartswitch, kies, no matter what I try. If I go to recovery mode it says `dm-verity verification failed...`and if I choose `apply update from ADB or SD card` it says `update from external storage disabled`. I dont know what to do anymore Its a new phone
FRP Block - no Dev Tools enabled
Hey guys,
you're my last resort, I've tried everything I happened to come across, to no avail.
First off, I did something incredibly stupid, don't even ask me why, as I have no idea what the heck drove me to do this in the first place.
Anyways, I was using the stock ROM on my S7 Edge, not tweaked or tinkered with besides the usual CF-Auto_Root. It never caused any trouble whatsoever. But for no reason at all this morning I decided to disable USB debuggin and OEM unlock. A short while later I rebooted my phone, which ended up in "Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock".
I gave a factory reset a try, but that obviously didn't change a thing. So I went to sammobile.com and downloaded the latest official stock ROM for my device and tried flashing it with Odin. Unfortnately Odin always fails with "Complete(Write) operation failed.", which I assume is because I messed with the settings in dev mode.
Next stop: ADB. I've never used that thing before, but I thought I should possibly be able to get it done following a simple guide. Unfortunately ADB won't even list my device when typing "adb devices". It's just an empty list.
So please guys, give me some tipps on how I can bring my phone back to life.

Damn... Issue... Smarthswitch does sometimes have bugs. Try creating a new google account to log in. Logging to your samsung account then might let you restore your data. Btw google how to bypass google login. There are many guides but I don't remember one right now.

If you've never used a Google account and your phone is new, you should not be asked for an account. When you turn on the phone for the first time a configuration setup appears which in one of its steps asks you to enter a Google account, if you have done and you have put a pin code the phone will be blocked when you try to alter the system. FRP is activated when you put a security pattern, pin code, or add a Google account. Before installing the twrp you should activate the oem unlock. In any case the phone is stolen, we can not help you with that. Xda has her rules. You can try using a box z3x, medusa, octopus etc etc.
I never use google accounts, why should i ? and the phone was bought through amazon. If you start the first time without any sim card, bypass the google account login and then put twrp on it. You get the same problem as i. You'll see. I don't steal Handys or buy things like that !

If you don't use Google accounts then it must be a very limited experience. Because most of what the device can do is based around Google.
How do you update apps? Backup contacts? Use YouTube etc?
Also it seems you missed out a bit of information above. It doesn't say you've factory reset your device which you must have done to get you in that predicament.
All you needed to do was reinstall the stock firmware to bypass FRP Lock. Wiping the device had compounded the issue.
Its great that you've fixed it, but at least you may realise the value of ensuring you have a working Google account.

Custom binary (recovery) blocked by FRP lock

Hi. My cousin asked me to root his SM-G531F and flash custom ROM to it. So, I come to him and tired to flash TWRP, just like I did on my SM-G350. But there's a problem - flashing fails, and there's a message "Custom image (recovery) blocked by FRP lock" or something like that. We rebooted (by taking battery of) phone and checked "OEM unlock" in dev settings. Tired to flash again - same message. IDK what more can we do. I don't want to brick his phone.
Also, when I searched for "FRP lock" there were no problem like ours, but lots of devices in bootloop with this message AFTER sucessful flash of custom ROM... That make me think about this all the day. I NEVER eccountered problem like that, but I never had so new phone, only old and easy-flashable ones. Is FRP lock dangerous? Do I need to do something to not brick his phone?
I found two types of slimiar looking locks - FAP lock and FRP one. Mine is rather FRP, I think I can read. What they really are and how they differ?

FRP: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/frp/
FRP Just locks your phone if you alter the boot or recovery image and you had a google account registered. To unlock it you have to wipe data (factory reset) and reflash stock boot.img and recovery.img before using it again. If your cousin wants to flash my ROM (lineageos-13.0) he'd better not, its not stable and he will encouter random reboots and codecs bugs. The best thing to do is to remove FRP from his phone and flash Magisk (a root manager like SuperSU) and debloat it.
For more information, find the Grandprimevelte group on Telegram.
I think I'm having the exact same problem as OP, the thing is that when you flash twrp and the magisk on the phone with FRP disabled (no google account) it works just fine, but if you choose to add a google account to the device later you get a bootloop. If you try flashing with a google account logged in on the phone it doesn't let you (same as OP).
Is there any way to add a google account on the device after flashing twrp and magisk without enabling FRP lock? Thank you

Yes, you must install a boot.img without frp. Then you will be able to use a custom boot/recovery and root your phone without problem.

T580 - Suddently got FRP Lock after over 6 months of use. Any way to recover?

Hi Guys,
I have a couple T580 tablets for my kids, and we had just gotten a new one for Christmas that I set up. I THOUGHT I had done everything correctly, but the new tablet is giving me the FRP Lock suddenly.
Any idea how that could happen? Is there any way to recover the tablet or do I have to do a original rom flash?
Thanks

Somethings not right. You don't "suddenly get an FRP lock". An FRP lock occurs only after you "factory reset" the tablet and don't know the google account login. And that is only if you hadn't enabled "OEM" in "Developer options". What makes you think it is the "FRP lock"? And if it is locked, flashing a ROM with Odin won't help. You'll still need the google account info to access the tablet.

Again, unless something has changed, which I doubt, that is not the way the FRP lock works. First of all, you said nothing about having a custom ROM installed. But even if you did, the FRP lock would NOT prevent the tablet from booting. It would merely ask for your google account info when it did boot. Have you tried booting into recovery and performing a factory reset?
edit: Let me explain what FRP means. In early versions of Android, if your phone/tablet were lost or stolen, anyone could bypass your "screen lock" simply by booting into recovery mode and perfoming a Factory Reset. So Google came up with the Factory Reset Prevention lock. So if someone tried to use the Factory Reset, the lock would demand the google account login and password to access the tablet. So if you wanted to sell your tablet, you either had to enable "Developer options" and then use that to "Enable OEM", prior to reseting the tablet or put in a google account whose info you could pass to the buyer, remove your real account, and then reset.
In any case, the tablet did NOT show the message you are getting. I've bought several T580s on eBay that WERE locked, and none of them gave that message. A locked tablet would still let you install stock ROMs with Odin, but the tablet would still ask for the google account info. But the way around that can be found in this forum.

When I turn on the power, the screen comes on, and then says "Custom Binary blocked by FRP Lock" then the screen turns off. I have not tried a factory reset because I was hoping to find a solution without losing everything before I did something that could not be undone.
The only thing left is, I know samsung will (if detected) attempt to remove software. I wonder if it somehow tried to reset automatically and in so doing caused this.
A factory reset does not help in your case.
First option is: contact your person, who sell the phone. Because he must unlock this one in his Google settings.
The question is: how many times a wrong oe no account was insert, that the device doesn't start up till the possibility to insert the correct account.

You don't lose everything with a Factory Reset and what you do lose should be easily recovered from your google account backup. And nothing else could be done that wouldn't also cause a reset.

No one sold me this phone, I bought it new. There is no unlock option. The phone doesnt event start booting, the screen turns on says the FRP lock, then turns off.
Ab FRP Lock said, that the phone is looked via a Google account.
In a normal case, you can only unlock the device, if you insert the correct Account with password.
I don't know.. maybe you have insert 3 time wrong credentials... why the device give your not the possibility to unlock the device.
Try an complete wipe / factory reset out of the recovery menu, so that the OS can start.
The lock isn't away, but maybe you have the possibility to insert the correct data.

Alright I just flashed the latest rom and that fixed it.
I now know a little bit about what is going on. When I got the tablet, I set it up for me. Then I discovered googles "family link" so I set it up again for my daughter.
Child accounts have FRP protection. I dont know what triggered it, but somehow it activated recently when it discovered magisk which I had installed some time back.
Now I am super irritated and over Family Link...

SM-T510 new firmware

I received a dead tablet that I've been fixing for weeks now. I finally got it working but the tablet is locked. I factory reset it but I cannot set it up as it requires the owners gmail account to finish setting it up.
Is there a way for me to flash a fresh firmware on it ?
Can you boot into Download mode?
Is the bootloader unlocked?
What rom is installed?
I don´t quite understand why you need a gmail account, a reset should delete any association with old accounts.
What recovery is installed?

You have to study Samsung FRP bypass first.
After that if you want to install any custom rom & recovery, study how to unlock bootloader. Then you can install TWRP custom recovery and custom rom.
