hi developers i am quite new to this site, the reason i join this i want to get the unlock code for my at&t motorola atrix 4g handset so that i can use different sim carriers,i have searched the whole threads still there is not a solution of the problem.Also i have visited different phone threads like htc sensation http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1232107.Cant this problem be resolved like this,give some suggestion guys.U people are the best i hope someone can come up with a good idea for this problem.Also i have used some other site where they provide unlock code but they give same answers that my code cant be found.Plz developer give a look on this problem.

I don't think there is any other way to unlock the atrix besides buying an unlock code. Unlock codes are fairly cheap on ebay, where I got mine. These are the guys that I used http://www.ebay.ca/itm/UNLOCK-CODE-...742?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb89f6246 .

hey i know about the site giving unlock codes ,i have tried cellunlock.net site but they said they cant get me the unlock code so i am confused is it worth trying on other site as i heart cellunlock.net is quite best in its work.Give me a suggestion should i try this on other site.They give this message like this

If the phone is on AT&T, call them.
They give out the unlock codes for free as long as your account is in good standing.
The easiest way is to use their online chat support.

i know about this but my AT&T account is less than 1 year so they wont give me,also it is not in good standing too

Ask someone who has already had At&t for a year and they can call and get the code

The codes are available. AT&T unlocked my ATRIX over chat.

Cellular unlock works great, pretty fast too. Only option really if you're not in the states. If you have an at &t number online chat supposedly works great.

yeh i have given my order for the unlock code to cellunlocker.net ,on the site u jst have to put imei no and see that ur phone is available in their database.Also they say on there FAQ that if the code is not found on the AT&T database than there r other options to get the code directly from the manufacture,as i put my imei no on the site they say that the code is there in there database,but i dont think they wll be able to provide me through AT&t .I am waiting for there reply if they say they cant get me the code through AT&T i wll go to the manufacture method.Hope my code come this time.
I am skeptical about unlock codes. At first I bought one on ebay it did not work. Then I got one from at&t , it did not work either. I had at&t sim inside while unlocking. I think I blocked the unlock feature by trying too many times.
YES it is possible to enter an unlock code with at&t sim inside if you enter special service code first which bring the unlock menu.
Any thoughts?

obviously it's not if you used this method and none of your codes worked.
This may have changed, but the guy at the at&t store told me a few months ago that once your phone is over six months old you can just call at&t and they will give you the code.

Cheap unlock
In case you are interested, i got my unlock code for an At&t Atrix last week from unlock_fusion at e-bay. it worked perfect and was just $2.35.
They where quick too, bougt it arround midnight EST, and got it in less than an hour!

Does anyone know if Note will work on Red Pocket network? I understand they are using AT&T towers, but just wanted to double check and see if anyone as any experience with them?

works just fine... no problems... not sure of the speeds but it does pretty good.... sold it to a customer last week and he is happy
I can attest that it works fine on Red Pocket as well. I'm wondering if MMS will be ok when my note updates to ICS because I've heard there have been some APN problems on other phones that upgraded to ICS.

I am trying to unlock a n7000 for a friend. Which makes no since to me because I thought this phone was factory unlocked. Yet when I put her red pocket sim in it, it asks for a sim unlock code. I've checked in the "about phone" settings and confirmed that it is a n7000. She bought it off eBay and the seller also claimed it is factory unlocked. Anybody have any idea what the issue might be? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link. Didn't get a chance to try it. I rooted it with doom lord v4(would post link but don't know how) and installed busybox and unlocked with galaxy s unlock from the play store. Worked perfectly.
BTW turned out it it is a sgh-i9220/gt-n7000 so it was locked to a vodaphone. Don't understand why Samsung wouldn't put that info in the about phone info oh well thanks again

The 2nd one told me to wait at least 60 days and hung me up.
The 3rd one told me to contact with Samsung to unlock. I gave him an earful and he setup a "high priority case" for getting me the unlock code.
This morning, I got the code and successfully unlock my Note 3......

i am not having great luck getting mine unlocked. did you go through a certain phone number or anything like that?
so the purpose of the code is to unlock the phone and be able to use with other carriers. My belief was that if you buy a phone full price, it would be automatically unlocked? Isn't that so?

No. Even with full price, the phone is locked. AT&T style.

Actually it doesn't say "unlocked". It just says "no contract". It's still locked.

Where on the N3 does it say "no contract"? If you are referring to the purchase ad, I bought it from amazon and it said "unlocked".

Buying a phone from At&t at full price DOES NOT mean its unlocked. I bought two Note 3's, one full priced (from At&t Next) and one on contract.
Called the next day for unlock codes, the woman told me to call in 15 days and only the one that was paid in full could be unlocked. They just didnt have the codes in the system. I've been with At&t a few years now and my account is in good standing. Usually after a month or so I call and they give me the unlock, contract or not. But I just went ahead and ran chanfire's unlock app and it worked. Both phones unlocked. Much easier than having to hassle with At&t. I'm on At&t so I really dont care/need the unlock. But its nice to have I guess.

thats kind of how things went for me. in the past ive called in for an unlock and got it though those other times were after id had the phone for awhile.
this time the first person said to go to the unlock site and request it and if it was denied to call back and try another route. theyd look over my account history and all that stuff in that case. anyways, on the unlock site as soon as i put in my imei number it said it couldnt be done. i called in and the person i talked to this time said something about the unlock codes not being in the system. he sounded sincere about it and it made sense, but to be honest i really didnt believe it. i just didnt see why they wouldnt have them. in the end i ran the unlock app and its been going fine since saturday.
I have a question, If I have an Note 3 from AT&T and unlock the Note 3 and has been reported lost, I can use it with Straight Talk?

The phone will be back listed with At&t. Pretty much it won't be able to be activated on At&t again. If it's unlocked it should work. However, I have seen some stores check the phone's IMEI status and they only take phone's with clean a IMEI/ESN.
But you've already given the impression that you are guilty of some suspicious activity with that post. Just be careful, and always stay legit!

Any at&t phone with a sim card will work with straight talk. Ive had straight talk for over a year now. Couldnt b happier!! Anyways, im buying the N3 at full retail on wednesday, from AT&T, and i know for a fact it will work on straight talk. AT&T is offering white and black correct? Im going with the white. ?

Works just fine on Straight Talk. I've been using it for a week or two...
What the previous poster said about it working on AT&T if the phone has been reported lost. If its an AT&T based MVNO such as Straight Talk, Net10, AIO, or Go Phone running on the AT&T network a lost and blacklisted phone WILL NOT work even if it's unlocked. You shouldn't have any problems using it on T-Mobile or using a T-Mobile based Straight Talk card since AT&T and T-Mobile aren't sharing blacklisted IMEI's.
And about those "lost" phones... Nothing sketchy there at all.

Will it work if you upgraded to SM-900A for Sim Unlock to any carrier??? Will they do it you think vs you paid full price??

There's SIM unlock instructions from other post in General section, just root the phone and use Chainfire's Region Lock Away. And its free.
Please keep in mind, once you root your phone ISIS mobile wallet will not work... Which is fine, I don't use it enough to care about it.

If your phone is reported "lost or stolen" it will be blacklist from the original carrier and eventually to all US carriers.
Hello people I bought a N4 and was so exited about getting it that I didn't check Meir so after I purchased phone off craigslist I went on Swappa.com and checked meid and it said phone not eligible for resale and is being financed so I contacted the seller and they said it was bs put in a sim and I will see that it works. Well I put in my straight talk sim and it worked like she said .. whats going on in glad it works but wondering how..

hi , I'm from india, after 4/5 yrs of using nokia n8, I've finally upgraded to galaxy note 4 , it was bought from the middle east, but problem is after i put the sim , it asked for an unlock code, and options- unlock/ dismiss comes on the screen. But the sim works on other mobiles. and i tried another sim too, but that doesn't work too. After some searching on the internet i found that it is because my phone is locked….im not sure of that too….can anyone please help me?

You can write email to Samsung ME, may they ask you to provide serial number,imei etc, for same topic there's a thread in note 3 forum, u can search.
You have to call for five minutes atleast from the sim of the same country in which you've bought your Note 4 to unlock it unless it's carrier locked

i called samsung india, they said i have to contact saudi samsung, so i emailed samsung saudi, email is in arabic, but we can type in english....they repied with an email asking for model,imei, bill photo,...i sent it and they replied with the unlock codes ...and it worked

Hi, i sort of has the same issue...i searched for saudi samsung email and i was able to see a 'contact us' option in their website .
Is this how we should be doing? or was there any specific email? Also How long did they take to respond you.
