Why not just try deleting apps you don't use, clearing cache, and or moving pics and videos to SD card?

This has been covered many times for anyone who searches. For those that don't: Tap Internal Storage. Then on the next screen you'll see the word MORE in the upper right corner of your screen. Tapping that will present you with a menu item that says Migrate Data. Tap that and follow any instructions.

Hi, I went into storage options and didn't see the word more to migrate data, am I missing something?

Did you go into your Internal Storage? Did it bring you to a different screen? I am referring to your screen shots above. Get to that screen and then follow my instructions. I'm also assuming that you followed the instructions in the video and you now have your extSD set up as adoptable storage.

Half of the photos i took appear corrupted and display the same photo whereas in the preview, they display the correct photo. Is there any way to fix it?
Here are some examples, the preview and the photo displayed is different, and the 3 photos are the same:

Now this is rather strange, what kind of a memory card are you using and are you using the stock firmware?
Yes I've had this too. It is rather weired issue. I think it might be thumb nails issue. If you delete thumbnails I'm pretty sure it fixed it.

How do you delete thumbnails? Not quite sure how to do it.
Tried to find a thumbnail file/folder, can't find it though.
open 'My Files' app, click menu, then settings, then tick 'show hidden files', then back, then 'All Files', 'Device Storage', then 'DCIM' and delete the folder named '.thumbnails'

Nope still does not work Deleted thumbnails file, cache and data and rebooted phone. Still shows the same corrupted pictures.
damn, can you try a factory reset, do you have a lot of data on it?

It's a bug. Something (Google Settings, I believe) keeps triggering KNOX which results in this message.
Long-press on the notification, hit app info, then clear the data and cache of KNOX Notification (which is the one that pops up.)
Thx! I'll try your way once it appear again
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
yup,
Very annoying pop up. Are you sure is related to a Google app? I'd like to report it to Sammy/Google,this is a huge bug on their side as it prevents google apps from proper functioning ( I have a lot of emails stuck in Gmail outbox, I guess it could be related). I mean the right hand shooting the left foot doesn't feel right....

You need to force close the app too after clear cache and data. Then it will not pop out until you reboot your phone..

You could also just tick the do now show for 30 days box.

I thought it was something I did...spend 1 day factory reset and reinstalling everything....still popping out wtf.

I got a security update today. Wonder if it's related to this. I haven't seen this message since I installed the update.

Yep same here. I chose not to be p***ed off by bit until 30 days time.
This is just one of many stupid faults I've enjoyed. I'm wondering now if these Note 3's are all fake Chinese copies because it's deffo not the same people who made the Note2 !!

How do I get always screen on while on charger?

When I put my phone on charger, for example my Qi-carholder, I would like to not have the screen going to standby, turnoff or anything. Just stay on so I can see what's playing etc.
Tried the setting in developer options but somehow it doesn't work. Maybe because of the always screen on function?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
There is the Always On Display function, but I imagine it's not good for you...
No, if I want to change song or make a call in the car I don't want to unlock my phone every time. It has to stay unlocked and keep showing home screen or the app I'm using at that moment.
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
You might use this app:
Lucid - DayDream Screensaver
which has many modules so one can configure what is shown on the screen:

I gave it a try several times, also with my previous phone but it still is satisfying.

I found out the screen always stays on (not the samsung function but really on on) in developer options works for direct USB chargers but not for a wireless charger, like I have in my car. And then....

Notification Sound?

This may be a stupid question, but on the M8 I could add sounds into the notification folder to use for texts and such. Now, the 10 is not allowing it "read only" it says.
Also, no addition button similar to the ringtones.
Is there something I'm overlooking? Or for a simple sound file move am I going to have to root?
Sent from my HTC6545LVW using XDA-Developers mobile app
Create a folder anywhere (internal or external) named Notifications, and reboot.
To be clear, you don't have to reboot, but that's the fastest way for the phone to repopulate the notification list with the new sounds.

Wow that was simple. Thank you very much! I've always just put the file in system/media/audio/notificatons and it's worked before. Not this time.
Appreciate it!

I had no problems without root setting up custom notifications on the 10. just copied them over to the folder like you said. don't know why says read only, did you set it by accident in a explorer app?
Peace....
it still doesnt work for me....am I missing something?

No it surprised me too. I'm not sure what was going on. I did the recommendation above but dropped the file in the default Notifications folder instead of making a new one. Worked just fine then.

Thanks for the answer to my issue also. I found a few notification sounds and ringtones from days gone by and wanted to use them. All the best.

Wifi and mobile date on why?

When I'm on wifi I notice mobile data sometimes turns on by itself in the status bar. I verify this to be true, since going into sim card status it shows that mobile data is truly connected when on wifi.
I have no apps set to use mobile data only when connected to wifi. Any ideas?View attachment 4762596
