J500FN some apps are force closing - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

Hello XDA Community, I have a problem. I was using Slim stock rom of @vaserbanix and I decided to install Xposed Franework and Wanam Xposed for Android 5.x.x I choosen some settings of that app and rebooted. Since that moment, some apps like Facebook, Amazon Shopping, Gmail and Google Keep don't work. When I open them, there's a message that the apps stopped, so there's a force closing of these apps. I tried to flash CM 12.1 and the problem in few apps was fixed, but spotify got a force close. I decided to flash the latest firmware via odin to restore the telephone, but the problem keeps appearing. I also tried to clean cache, dalvik cache and I cleaned cache of single application. I don't know what to do, the problem keeps appearing. Can you help me? Please guys

Maybe your RAM memory is damaged/dead. Send the phone into service.

Well I don't have warranty anymore since I rooted it, and I don't want to pay that money. That's alot!

Okay, it seems that with CM 12.1 by Nick Verse I solved the problem. Anyway, I'm scared because on stock I think the problem will come again. I'll wait the new firmware 6.0.1 for J500FN when it will be out. For now I'll stay with CM

You could try wiping the caches on the device in CWM.

OK, Ill try that.
My apps and data wont get deleted, right?
No, they'll all be in tact, just make sure you wipe the Cache from the main menu and the dalvik cache from the advanced menu.

Did not work.
Wiped the cache from main and then did dalvik cache and Im still getting the popups and can not remove the google account.
Any ideas?
Are you rooted and did you freeze any system apps? I froze Google account manager once and had that problem. Had to restore a backup to fix it. Unfreezing didn't help.

Am rooted but did not freeze any app.
Best option then is to reflash your stock rom in Odin and re-root. Shouldn't lose any apps or data that way.

OK, what I did was flash in the JB CM10.
When I restored the apps and data with titanium, the problem with all the popups happened again!
So I flashed JB CM10 again and this time restored with titanium all the apps except for google apps and data.
This solved it.
Now everything is back to normal.
Now a different question, about the CM10 version I installed.
For some reason I don't have the back camera working.
I flashed the latest version that can be found on http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=2749.
For some reason the site's August 4th update has a link to http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/roms/cm10/p4wifi which is actually a July 28th update.
Isnt that the latest update? If not, where can I find the latest update with the back cam working?
EDIT: Just read on another thread that the 8.4.12 update got nixed cause of wifi problems. That explains my back cam problem.
Thinking about going back to stock 4.0.4. Kind of liked the new Touchwiz. Mountains better than the older version.

Well if you don't like touch wiz, you can replace it with Apex launcher, which will give you a stock ICS launcher with added options.

[Q] Google Voice force closing even after factory reset

I was out in the sticks today and I was having trouble getting my GV to update since I didn't have any service. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and now it force closes after I finish setup. Did a factory reset from the menu and I still have the same issue. Even with nothing but the stock gapps installed. Anyone else encounter this?

Make sure all the Gapps are updated to the latest versions. I get FCs all the time after flash Gapps and not updating them.

How can you uninstall and then re-install GV?? it isnt available on Play store...
if you installed it again from the GApps package then the case might be due to lack of libs.
flash the latest GApps again/the GApss available along your ROM. if your ROM has Gapps add-on inside it, then reflash the ROm; data isnt lost
I'm sorry, I may have used some of the vocabulary incorrectly. Allow me to explain this a bit better. My phone is completely stock and unrooted. By update, I meant grab any new texts/voicemails I had missed while out to coverage. When I mentioned gapps, I was referring to the Google apps that come stock on the N4.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...id.apps.googlevoice&feature=nav_result#?t=W10.
Google Voice is available on the Play store...
If if GV isn't available where you live, it's probably not on your Play store, the OP is in the US where GV is supported and available on the Play store.
Still having the same issue after updating all apps. I find it odd that it would crash after a factory reset with nothing else installed. Does the factory reset option from the menu leave any residual data behind? Is there another option that does a true full wipe?
Bump
I'm dead in the water here. I use GV exclusively and this is really hampering my work. Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated. Should I attempt to flash a custom rom and go back to stock? Are there any partitions that could be holding any previous settings that could be screwing things up?

Two days age i received my note 4, and i rooted it. The problem came after installing some exposed modules. Apps start to randomly crashes i could not use a phone anymore so i went back and flashed ot with official rom. The problem keep on and this time around all google apps are crashing i can not even sync or open any google app and also other samsung apps keep on crashing and the phone on some occasion will restart itself. Anyone with an idea on how i can fix this
Go to Recovery and wipe data and cache.
Not all Xposed modules are compatible with LL or MM.

[Q] Settings app crashing???

So tonight I tried the new Cm13 that got updated, doing a full wipe. All went good after a bit of testing, finding that the camera bug I already knew about was there, but after installing a few of my apps that I had before at the same time I tried installing some unofficial ones from .apks, Google Services Framework started crashing and my launcher, Trebuchet also did, so as the settings when I tried getting into the apps screen to try wiping data and cache for the settings app. So I got stuck there. Luckily I had a backup and succesfully restored to my last ROM with most of my data back. I did try anything I could think of to stop the crashing, except flashing another Gapps package. I did try reflashing the same with no success to fix the crashes. On the thread it recommended the Nano package because that provided you with the option to hold home button to Screen Search...
Thank you for any answers. BTW I also tried wiping those apps data trough Titanium Backup with no succes, again. :crying:
How do I stop Google Framework Services and settings (when entering app management screen) from crashing?
