How to enable other LTE band or flash IN firmware for ZE500KL? - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have an Asus ze500kl, with WW firmware, and I need to enable TDD-LTE 2600MHz(38) band. On the official website I saw that IN firmware has these specifications: TDD-LTE: (IN version only) 2600MHz(38)/2300MHz(40)/2500MHz(41). There are few topics with same problem for other Asus version, but nothing that will work for ZE500KL.
Can somebody guide us how to enable that band, or how to flash IN firmware? In my country (Romania), one of the biggest mobile carrier bought only that band for 4G, witch it's pretty inconvenient.
Thank you!

Flashing the Indian modem will affect the 2G and 3G bands.

[Q] Does Indian Tab works on UK 3G networks

Hello All,
I brought tab in India recently; and travelling to UK soon. Does India Tab work in UK 3g networks as-is or do I need to flash a EURO firmware to use it.
Model: GT-P1000 | Code: INU | Version: P1000DDJK3/P1000ODDJJ1/P1000DDJJ1 |
Your help would be much appreciated.
As far as I'm aware, most (if not all) Indian networks use the 2100Mhz band for 3G, same as the UK and most of the world outside North America. So, you shouldn't need to flash a new firmware, but I suspect you will need to manually enter the APN for whichever carrier(s) you use.

Dave

There are n910g submodels?

I have an unlocked n910g and im planing to flash the Nameless COH4 *Stock *Deodexed *PreRooted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/rom-n910gdtu1coh4-stock-deodexed-t3216953)
but ready the thread i founded that that rom is based on another baseband, the N910GDTU1COH4 ( mines is N910GDTU1BOD3).
My carrier is movistar in argentina and it uses the band
2G Network: 850MHz/1900MHz
3G Network: 850MHz/1900MHz
4G LTE Network: Band4-1700MHz
So if i flash it will i have any problem? can i fix it just flashing another zip?
By the way, sorry for my english, not my native lenguage

Change LTE bands of A2017

Hello everyone, I have a question
I have an Axon 7 A2017 but being the Chinese version, the LTE bands are not the same as those in most of the operators in my country (Chile), since it does not have band 4 (1700-2100).
If I install a rom A2017U on my A2017, as in this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-transform-chinese-a2017-b107-1-1-t3575320,
Can the bands be changed to have the LTE bands of the U version?
Is there any way to achieve that?
Thanks:good:
Nope, you can't change LTE bands on Chinese version

Cross version firmware updates

Is it safe to upgrade firmware targeted for one Galaxy S10+ device to another device?
Assuming both phones are either running Snapdragon or both phones are running Exynos.
Example:
- buy SM-G9750/DS (China/Hong Kong version)
- flash firmware from SM-G975U1 (US Unlocked version)
Will this be safe? What is the procedure? Has anyone attempted it?
Will I lose Dual SIM capability?
What are the potential benefits of doing so?
Will this also enable more bands (which are not enabled on China/Hong Kong version of the phone? example band 66 and band 71?).
Is there other way to enable those bands (CDMATool does not show those bands in selection).
Bands are hardware, not firmware. Flashing different firmware won't enable more bands. Flashing different firmware won't get you anything I'm afraid. They all effectively share the same firmware. All you'll do its cause potential issues.
I know the Exynos dual SIM variants share thw same firmware as the single SIM Exynos variants. But I'm not sure about the G9750/DS and G975U1 .
