Honor 5x screen display not adjusting with cover closed after marshmallow update - Honor 5X Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help. After receiving the marshmallow update, my honor 5x doesn't adjust the screen display with the phone cover is closed. Prior to the update, if the phone has a flip cover for the screen and it was closed, the screen would adjust the display, like move the time, etc.
Any ideas on how to re-enable this feature???
TIA
Jarrel

[Q] Display issues making/recieving calls?

I recieved my Lg nexus 4g today. Got it set up. When I make a phone call/recieve, the display goes black. I push the power button/volume rocker to wake up the display, no luck. Yes, it was after the system update to 4.2 jelly bean. After several tries of trying to wake up the display while calling/recieving, It tooks several seconds to get the display back. I did call google support and reported it. I've spent some time looking tor others who may have this issue. None. So, any ideas? I really like using my nexus 7 tablet, and now the lg nexus. I'm not going to give up on them, just hope the update will fix the display issue.

Do you have a screen protector covering the proximity sensor? If so, make sure the protector has a hole so it's not covered. My Nexus S used to have the same issue until I removed the protector. Also make sure the glass over the sensor is clean.

Do you have a screen protector on? it affects the proximity sensor if there's no cutout for it.
Was screen protector
You are correct it was the screen protector. The holes are cut. I removed it and replaced it with a new one pre cut, moved it lower. Works great. Thank you for your help.

Screen Wake Speed With Smart Cover - Increase Wake Speed??

Hi,
I have the MOKO slim case, just wondering if im able to increase the speed in which the screen wakes when I open the case?
Been looking and there are some mods to edit the proximity sensor but I believe its another sensor id need to modify.
Any ideas chaps?
I want to have less of a wait turning the screen on when I pull back the cover
Thanks
N
I don't know about you but my tab is awake the second I lift up the cover an inch away... By the time it is fully open it is well awake
mine kinda takes a little while too, but i dont really mind it. I have the moko too and by the time i get the flap behind the tablet its on
Sometimes it will lag if you closed it on a different orientation then your opening it. (Portrait/landscape)

Auto Brigtness & Screen Rotation Problems Solved

Hey Guys. Recently I have started to have an issue with my screen rotation failing to move into landscape and my auto brightness staying dim. It didn't seem to coincide with any software updates which was a bit confusing.
So I cracked on by pulling the back cover and battery and instantly spot a collection of metal filings in a circle directly above the camera sitting on the case. After a clean with an alcoholic wipe, stuck it back together and all was well again.
Just thought I would leave this here just in case anyone else runs into a similar issue :good:

Couple of issues i'd like to be resolved

Hi
I am having some issues (at least for me) with this phone. First issue is the screen brightness in direct sunlight. Compared to my note 2 that was clear and awesome I struggle to see in direct sunlight with my z2 in 100% brightness, is it because amoled is better than LCD in sunlight? Is there anything I can do to crank up the brightness even more? I have a nilkin tempered glass as screen protector, does that affect anything?
Second issue is the vibration. It's to damn weak. When I have it in my pocket I can barley feel the phone ringning when in vibration mode, is there a fix for it?
Third issue is that when someone calls me and I have my phone in my pocket, the phone automatically sends message to the caller that I am busy and can't take his call. The screen is so sensitive that when in my pocket it sends the message. Is there a way to disable this function? I saw that there is a no reject call mod for lollipop here http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...-modded-stock-tele-service-semcphone-t3059884 but I want one for kitkat 4.4.4
I am on kitkat 4.4.4 rooted
Thanks :fingers-crossed:

Screen stays ON during call? [Android Wear related?]

Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this? I have a Moto X Pure 2015, no hacks/mods/etc, just straight up as it came, but the display does not shut off during a phone call. It is as if the proximity sensor is not working, but I downloaded a test app from the Play Store and it shows that the brightness AND proximity sensor are working fine. I saw some mention of an option in the phone app to enable/disable the proximity sensor but it is not there on this phone.
One additional thought... I saw some things related to bluetooth, and I do have a Zenwatch2... I shut it off, and the screen goes off now.
How messed up is THAT? Any way to fix it?
On mine it was my screen protector combined with my case. The case caused the screen protector to lift slightly at the edge and screen stayed on so I took case off... Bad call, dropped phone, cracked screen. I replaced screen and now use my case without the screen protector.
