Make a note of your 'Serial number'
Check if your serial is either 6 or 8 digits. If the digits are 8, you can use the Z1 unlocking tool method to unlock your ZUK Z2 Pro.
Note: Serial numbers with 6 digits after unlock command must use also CM ZUK Z1 command references. Another guide is being prepared for this at the moment. Please bare with us.
Step 2:
Obtaining the tools..
Visit http://developer.zuk.com/bootloader
In the box below the 'Z1' drop down enter your 8 digit serial number from Step 1. Enter your email in the box below the serial number and check both the boxes. To submit press the Blue button.
You will then see the following popup message box:
解锁bootloader

You will see:
target reported max download size of 1610612736 bytes
sending 'unlock' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.037s]
writing 'unlock'...
OKAY [ 0.053s]
finished. total time: 0.090s
Now run the following:
fastboot -i 0x2b4c oem unlock-go
You will see:

OKAY [ 0.041s]
finished. total time: 0.041s
Finish up with:
fastboot reboot
NB if you have 8 digits on serial number, just put that
if you have 7 digits, add a 0 (zero) at the end
if you have 6 digits, add two 0 (zero) at the end

Had the same issue, until I found out, you can register via email on their main website (google translation of webiste helped me ^^)

How long does it takes till the email arrives?
I´ve waited now one day and nothing happened. And the Spam-Folder is empty too

Is there a driver that I need to download? My computer is set up for adb (verified with my OP3) and it cannot see my z2 pro at all.

Hello,
It has been almost one week I requested Zuk to get the booloader unlock file but so far no email in my mailbox (spam included)…
How did you contact them directly via email to get it?
What is the email address you used?
Many thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the email address.
I have just sent them the request.... Let's see now how long it will take
Will keep you posted.
Edit: I read on some other forum that it doesn't work with gmail and hotmail adresses.
that is the reason I didn't get the message back.
So I created a GMX address and within 2sec I got the file... I can now unlock my bootloaded.

It works for me. On the main site go to register in the top right corner and then you have two tabs one for phone and the other for email registration.
Try also this link: https://passport.zuk.com/wauthen3/w...lenovoid.thirdname=null&lenovoid.qrstate=null

No mater what I do I can't get the unlocked_bootloader file on my email account. Tried 4 different addresses already and nothing

Does this procedure wipe userdata and internal sdcard.

Yes it does

Hi there,
I'm stuck trying to unlock the bootloader for my Zuk Z2 (not pro) - I've received the unlock_bootloader.img via email and transferred it to the adb_fastboot directory. When I try and run the command to unlock the bootloader, I keep getting an error:
target reported max download size of 1610612736 bytes
sending 'unlock' (0 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.035s]
writing 'unlock'...
FAILED (remote: unlock failed)
finished. total time: 0.090s
I've tried with multiple stable stock roms, but I suspect the problem is that in the developer options, I cannot see an option "Enable OEM unlocking".
Can anyone help me unlock the bootloader?
Thanks

Hi all,
i am stuck with fastboot. I reboot into fastboot with "adb reboot bootloader", but then "fastboot devices" does not show any device. "fastboot --version" results in "fastboot version fd9e4d07b0f5-android". Is this the problem? Do i need an other version?
Greetings from Vienna,
Georg

try this guide mate
http://zukfans.eu/community/threads/zuk-z2-bootloader-unlock.62/
command should be adb devices. initially it wont show, because it does have id, you need to provide id. follow the above guide.

Thanks for your fast response, but i don't have a problem with adb. I followed the unlock instructions above, adb works fine ("adb devices" returns my S/N and "adb reboot bootloader" boots into bootloader). But then "fastboot devices" doesn't show anything and "fastboot -i 0x2b4c flash unlock unlock_bootloader.img" just answers "< waiting for device >". To sum it up, the Z2 (unmodiefied out of the box) does not respond to fastboot commands, even though the connection (drivers, debug mode, etc.) works fine.

Okay, so you've read Mills' instructions and sort of understand them.
1. Download the CWM recovery from multiupload
2. Boot off of that file (DO NOT FLASH): fastboot boot recoveryPLAY.img
3. Copy this to your memory card and flash it with the booted recovery
4. Reboot and test root
Click to collapse
Right? Okay, let me translate all that for you.
First things first, you need to unlock your bootloader. To do so
Mills00013 said:
Obtain a bootloader unlock code. Right now the only way to get one is through ashergray or myself. This will change soon but for now its limited in release.
Once you have your code, follow the unlock instructions on either Sony's website directly or by following the instructions here. Please note that you already have your code at this point so if you follow the instructions please disregard anything telling you to obtain a code. These are for GSM models.

So kindly ask one of them for your unlock code, and my best suggestion would be to get everything ready so you can unlock the bootloader and flash the booted recovery all in one go.
So download the recoveryPLAY.img and set it aside.
Then download the RootXperia.zip and set it on your SD card in the root directory. So in the main F:\ folder.
Download the drivers and fastboot.exe here http://www.multiupload.com/RS6367SQMT
Okay, we got everything. Follow these instructions http://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-unlock-bootloader-xperia-arc-play-neo-pro/ starting at step 6 but please read my notes below also
at step 7, you will hold down the SEARCH button and plug the USB cable into your phone.
When you go to look for the Driver in Step 10 of the guide look for the one on the list that says "Android Bootloader Interface 2.0.10.2 Google, Inc. c:\?????\oem28.inf", that's the one I used.
Once the drivers installed you can locate fastboot and run it, but do this in the command prompt. So you know, go to Start > Run..> type in "cmd" and your command prompt comes up. Type in "cd\" to get to your root directory, then type in "cd c:\documents and settings\.....whateverfolder you have fastboot.exe sitting in"
So Step 13 of the guide, you're in the ...\fastboot\ folder, you can now type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version and that will tell you if you're connected. If you get a <waiting for device> you probably loaded the wrong driver. </life>
If not, then you got the 0.3, so continue with unlocking your bootloader in step 15. Put in your command and the key you got from some really helpful people.
Okay, so you just unlocked the bootloader, awesome. Don't close any windows. Now remember that "recoveryPLAY.img" we set aside? Go get it and move it into the same folder that you have fastboot.exe in.
# Boot off of that file (DO NOT FLASH): fastboot boot recoveryPLAY.img
Click to collapse
Okay, with your command prompt still open and your recoveryPLAY.img in the same folder as fastboot.exe, type in "fastboot.exe boot recoveryplay.img"
Copy this to your memory card and flash it with the booted recovery
Click to collapse
In about 10 seconds the screen on your phone will change, you will now see the recovery screen on your PLAY. The volume buttons are UP and DOWN, the power button is ENTER or SELECT. So navigate through the menus to install .zip from SD card, and look for the RootXperia.zip (we put it on your SD card earlier remember?). So you found it, Select it, it will run, the phone will tell you life is great, so scroll up to the top and back out until you see the option to reboot your phone.
Reboot and test root
Click to collapse
Select Reboot and once you come up, go to the Android market and download something that requires Root, such as Titanium Backup or ROM Manager.
Finally, thank everyone involved for making this happen. Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098131
I did this on Windows XP, so I'm not sure if everything is exactly the same for any other Windows OS. Mods, feel free to move, delete or what you please with this thread.

“S1Boot Fastboot” under the head “Other devices” i dont have that in my device manager
i cant seem to find "Android Bootloader Interface 2.0.10.2 Google, Inc. c:\?????\oem28.inf"
either...
my device manager says:
Android ADB interface under Android Phone
and
PCI input Device under "Other Devices"
To find s1 boot, you need the BLUE LED on

yea, i know
blue led light is still on
Thank you very very much for this simple and easy to follow guide. I have a very basic knowledge of all of this and many of the guides posted required I fill in gaps I didn't know how to fill.
Thank you!
Android ADB interface under properties says 2.0.10.2 Google
but i tried to update it with the folder and it said it was up to date....
In the cmd windows type in fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version
If a value is returned, it means the phone is correctly connected

FYI, the original method for obtaining unlock codes from Ashergray or Mills has been blocked by Sony. Now, the only way to unlock has to be done through Allejandrissimo, and costs money.
A free solution is being worked on, but we are nearly back to square one as far as unlocking goes.

[Honor 4x][Che1-L04]{might work for others too} Bootloader Unlock & Recovery flash

[Honor 4x][Che1-L04]{might work for others too} Bootloader Unlock & Recovery flash
This has been reported working for Che1-L04 and Che2-L11 models. If you have a different device than these two then please try this method and report back on comments so I can update on which devices this work. I waited two months for a bootloader unlock code from Huawei. Then posted on facebook pages of Huawei and Honor about not getting it. Then I got it myself some days ago without much hassle. Here's how I did it:
Opening Huawei Account:
1. Go to http://hwid1.vmall.com/oauth2/porta...hp&viewType=1&isDialog=0&themeName=cloudTheme
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Select Register for Free>>.
3. Select Register Email Address and open an account. Then Log in using your email, password using the link from step 1.
Getting unlock code:
1. Go to http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=unlock&action=apply
2. Then you'll find a page where there'll be lots of Chinese text with a checkmark below. Check it and click the button below.
3. You'll be on the unlock page now.
4. Select the second option from the first box.
5. Select the first option from second box.
6. In the third field put your Serial Number. (Can be found written on the battery)
7. In the fourth field put your IMEI. (Can be found dialing *#06# on the dialer. Only the first one is needed)
8. In the fifth field put the code as shown in the image.
9. Click the blue button below all fields.
10. If failed put the image code and retry. It gets done in about two to three tries.
You will now have the 16 digit bootloader unlock code. Save it somewhere.
Unlock process:
After this process the phone resets itself to factory settings and all apps data etc are removed. If you want to have them, backup beforehand to SD card using Huawei's Backup app.
1. Set up ADB and Fastboot from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118.
2. Turn off your phone. Connect to PC while holding volume down button release after there's a vibration feedback.
3. Open CMD in your fastboot location. Type and Enter "fastboot devices" (without quotation). If it returns a code with your device then it's connected.
4. Type and Enter "fastboot oem unlock XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" (without quotation where XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is the code you got from huawei site).
Bootloader should be unlocked. And the phone will now proceed to factory reset it. All your data will be erased from phone storage.
Recovery flash:
1. Download recovery from http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0-touch-recovery-t3199386.
2. Put it in your adb/fastboot folder.
3. Connect your phone in fastboot mode again. Turn off>>hold volume down button and connect to PC>>Release button upon vibration.
4. Check by running "fastboot devices" again.
5. Now type and enter "fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img" (without quotation and recoveryname.img should be the recovery you downloaded and it should be in the folder where adb and fastboot is. In our case that should be "fastboot flash recovery twrp2.8.7.0_cherry_en_f2fs.img")
Recovery should now be flashed and ready for action. Please give your reaction on the poll only if you've done all the necessary steps.
THANK YOU.
Good

Do what I said for second box too, doesn't matter that your model is not on the list. Ours che1-L04 isn't in the list either but we do get code using another model name.

Flashing Factory 8.1 - After ADB Reboot Bootloader: Error "Connect USB Data Cable"

Flashing Factory 8.1 - After ADB Reboot Bootloader: Error "Connect USB Data Cable"
GOAL: flash factory stock 8.1 image on phone purchased from Swappa. Why? To eliminate any possibility of any lingering software (e.g. Cerberus) that might have been installed by the previous owner.
PROBLEM: after issuing command ADB Reboot Bootloader at Windows terminal, the phone boots in to bootloader mode, but says, Connect USB Data Cable despite the fact that it is, in fact connected to my Win10 computer via a USB cable (the very same one that forced the phone to reboot into bootloader mode).

Of course, I do notice that the above screen says, device is LOCKED, but my belief is that the bootloader on this phone is UNlocked. Why? Two reasons. (1) Because that's the way it was described in the Swappa listing. (2) the Developer Options \ OEM unlocking is set to "allow the bootloader to be unlocked."
By the way, if (while the phone is in bootloader mode) I run the flash-all.bat script, I get these errors:
C:\Users\me>"C:\BIN\angler-opm1.171019.011-factory-39448337\angler-opm1.171019.011\flash-all.bat"

With the phone in normal mode (booted up normally), and then run ADB devices the system returns

so I know that the computer and phone are talking. Immediately after that, if I try to run the same (flash-all.bat) command when the phone is not in bootloader mode, I get back waiting for any device as though computer and phone cannot communicate.
I am so confused. :cyclops:
What am I doing wrong?
UPDATE:
I just realized that I needed to issue the command fastboot flashing unlock at a Windows terminal prompt, then select (on the phone) to unlock the bootloader.
Furthermore.... I just noticed that in the Windows Termminal, I needed to navigate to the folder containing the IMG file to be flashed before running the flash-all.bat script. Since that location wasn't in my Windows 10 computer's PATH command, the script couldn't "see" the IMG file, which explains the errors above.
UPDATE # 2 - Solved
1. At windows terminal, issue command "adb devices" (to verify that computer and phone are connected).
2. At windows terminal, issue command "fastboot flashing unlock" then on phone choose the option to unlock bootloader.
3. At windows terminal, issue command adb reboot bootloader or on phone, with phone off, press power and volume-down simultaneously.
4. At windows terminal, with prompt located at the same drive and folder where the IMG you want to flash is located, run the flash-all.bat script.
5. After new OS is installed and phone reboots, then at Windows Terminal, , issue command "fastboot flashing lock" then on phone choose the option to re-lock bootloader. This will wipe the phone, reinstall the OS and reboot the phone.
There may be (probably are) smarter and better ways to skin this cat. If so, I hope that someone smarter than me will add that in the comments to help anyone who reads this thread.

Mi unlock tool getting the "Please rebind and try again error.". Did somebody encounter this error?

I want to unlock the bootloader on my Mi Mix 3 5G, but I'm not able to... getting really frustrated with this.
I've done all the steps required prior to unlocking the Bootloader:
Enabled OEM Unlocking
Enabled USB Debugging
Added my Mi Account successfully in the Mi Unlock status setting
Downloaded the Mi Unlock tool and updated to the latest version + updated USB drivers
I logged in with the same Mi account on my PC
Plugged my phone into an USB 2.0 port
Entered Fastboot on my phone
Here's a screenshot with the error:

I want to flash a new ROM on my device, but I'm getting pretty annoyed right now.
Thanks for the help in advance!
I would like to confirm the problem. In addition to the steps described above I also enabled the "find lost device" functionality and updated the device location via Xiaomi cloud before trying to unlock.
I am trying to unlock a POCO X3 Pro using Mi unlock tool version 6.5.406.31.
Unlock procedure stage one worked. I was told to wait for another 16 hours. After that time period I only get the aforementioned error message.
Having the exact same problem. I think the problem is, that mi binds the device wrongly to your account. When I check my Mi Account online and look under "Manage devices", it shows the phone, but without the real model
and name.

Having the same problem tried rebinding the account didn't work I think it's a new problem on xiaomi's end tried new versions of unlock tool and old versions. All didn't work and I've unlocked xiaomi phones without a problem in the past.

In my case, "model" is also empty and "name" is shown correctly as "POCO X3 Pro".
Same problem on poco f3
Model and name are correct
Yeah, similar issue on my end... weirdly the photo of the device is correct and the name is displayed correctly in the devices list, but not the popup.
Same here on my Poco X3 Pro 8/256, tried both the official Xiaomi Unlock Tool and the XiaoMiTool V2, installed drivers again, rebooted and my device doesnt get recognized at first but after the doing the MiAssistent step in XMT2 it does get the device data
It does show my device name and model correctly tho
Might be something going on with the servers? I ain't no expert but it's odd how everyone with the same problem started popping up only today.
I am experiencing the same issue with a Redmi Note 10 Pro..

It sucks lmao, I'm saying goodbye to my old Mi 9T some time this weekend and I really wanted to try some custom roms. Oh well, guess it wasn't meant to be.
am I really that unlucky that Xiaomi's servers are malfunctioning when I want to unlock my bootloader
( btw, for me my model and name are shown correctly under "My devices" at https://us.i.mi.com/#/setting )
Same problem with Mi8

As mentioned above it's probably a server issue, best way to solve it now is just to wait it out.
EDIT: If I'm incorrect and someone actually found a solution feel free to add it to the forum.
I googled this error. This thread shows up as the first result. Without OP posting about this today I wouldn't post here. I created my account just to confirm this problem.
I'm saying we might be the outliers that have this specific problem. Perhaps many people can unlock and will not post here about their success.
Having the same issue on Xiaomi 11T Pro since 11 AM
