Will there be root/xposed or ROMs for the x cam anytime sooner? - LG X cam Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
I just bought one of the x cams and I was thinking if there would be root or xposed or even roms for this device anytime sooner?
Thnaks,
Charlie
BTW: Has anyone unlocked the bootloader?

ya i keep checking for x power, x cam and x style but no info yet that I have been able to find the full kernel source is out there for the x power though I may just build one custom and see if it will take once I can get the actual firmware to repair with just in case basically if that will work then it may work for the other X models too.

I think, that the major difficulty is to make the dual camera work fine.
I have a Lg X Cam and the rom is very stable. But if anybody start a custom rom i will liked.
Thanks,

Don't ever waste your time, the kingroot thing is bull****.
Kingroot, Shuame and other Chinese root/rom flashing tool has been telling lie about root & flashing for long, they just want to cheat you into installing their stupid software, in some case you may even brick your device because of these software.

[Q] note3 n9008 available roms?

Hi guys, my dad is bring a n9008 back from China. It has the qualcom 800 cpu onboard. I have done alot research on this phone, and only found the guide to root and flash recovery. So my question is: is it possible to flash roms made for other variants( such as n9005) onto n9008? Since the n9008 won't support the wifi calling from TMO, i would rather put a CM or AOSP on it.

as always, you got your phone from china, get help there, in other words, if you want support, get yor phones in your own country, imagine this, you will get a warranty also, is not that amazing?, yes you save some money buying overseas, or from a no one knows about seller, but, at the end, you get no support, think abot that in the future,
Pray its not a fake

well i got the phone as a gift. so its not my choice at first place.
so far i'm able to install all of the n9005 roms(x note, omega, lidroid) and everything works flawlessly.
the tmobile rom can be installed normally, but i just cant turn on the wifi( it stucks at turning on screen)
anyone got a solution to that?
Now you can install a CM11 ROM!
I too have been given a GN3 as a gift but it's the N9008 model.
I tried flashing the latest N9005 KK stock firmware, but I had no luck.
Do you know if there's a possibility of "changing" the model to a N9005? Hardware wise I believe they are exactly the same?
I imagine LTE is also not on this particular model? Am I correct to say that all Snapdragons are capable of having LTE? Would it be the firmware that "enables" LTE?
I don't really want to be on the Chinese firmware.
I've rooted the device and got gapps on their, but I'd rather a proper international firmware.
If anybody can help, it'd be great.

LG G2 F320 [ROMS Support]

Hello folks,
I was looking around in the G2 section and All I noticed is ROMS and MODS everywhere, but sadly they all have [D800/801/802/803/LS|VS980] in their titles except for a very few!
I am an owner of an LG G2 F320S (Korean Variant) and I want a GOOD ROM for it and all I can do is stick to the STOCK ROM because all the ROMS around are not for my device. except for (VDT, Sling, CN V5, LAMHOANG, Flex[new])... and all of these roms are also Korean! except LAMHOANG.
In addition to that, all of these ROMS are 4.2.2! I would really like to get the most out of my G2; it's such a great device with exceptional capabilities!
PLEASE for all people who support me in asking developers to include a F320(LSK) version of their roms, vote above!! :good:

Thank you for the post. I am new here at xda and have had my G2 F320 for just a couple of weeks now. I'm trying to learn more about available roms for it. From what I understand it is not possible to flash the international rom on the F320, but I can't find any explanation or verification. Will continue to search around. I want to get rid of the korean numbers on the dialfunction above all. Anyway - I totally support your idea: PLZ include F320 version of roms!

Thanks! Really appreciate it! I found it earlier but I had some problems installing TWRP on my F320. I will try to do this first. I had CMW installed but after a failure in flashing HK V1 custom rom I couldnt boot into recovery mode. Tried all kinds of different combinations with the physcal buttons (power and volume) but couldnt get it right. Maybe you or someone could help me there? Its very interesting to learn more about android since i used to have an iphone. I really like the LG G2!

Forget about the TWRP on F320; I already tried all the possible ways to get it but failed! Therefore, the best solution (which I personally use) is to get the CWM back from here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2468858) and then download the ROM "LAMHOANG" and flash it using CWM, I have it on my F320 right now and it's fabulous

4G-LTE Issue

Long story, short:
I bought an LG g2 that i thought was an european model but however i think its a korean model,
If i want to use 4G(LTE) on the G2, i need to enable it by a "secret" menu every time i reboot. Isnt there any permanent solution on this?
Should i install a european firmware?
Do you have root? Custom ROM?

Stock Korean thing.
For 1 hour ago i tried installing Europe firmware and it succeeded, but however it upgraded back to korean.
Without root I don't believe there is a way but with root you can edit the build.prop to change target country

If it's a Korean model, flashing an incompatible ROM might ruin your device. Proceed with caution.
Managed to get CM11 on it. Everything works better now - Its a pain in the azz to root + recovery + cm11 on LG G2

You're on nextel carrier branded ? Can you put this ota on 1097 from carrier ?
It's the same model xt1097, as far as I know the only diference between the stock ROM and the carrier's ROM is the internet settings and stuff. Nextel Doesn't push bloatware or such so I'm guessing they just load some settings and rebrand the sistem version. I'm on 21.27.3, maybe the baseband could bring some problems I don't know... but I'm pretty shure it will work. I've been flashing stuff in carrier models for a while know and besides internet settings I've never had more problems
If somebody knows me wrong please correct me
So, how do we flash this?

I think you only have to check your APN settings. If you have an US model just make shure you're flashing the proper zip for your model. Carriers just add apps and stuff nobody use.
Think of it as installing CyanogenMod, everyone around the world has installed it and yet there aint carrier versions. Everything is about the model, not the carrier.
Anyway, whatever you decide to do you're doing it at your own risk. I'm waiting a couple of days to hear from my carrier so I can't give any help until I do the proces my self.

I have questions about Samsung Galaxy J series, specifically the J3 Virgin Mobile

I have a few questions for anyone familiar with the Samsung Galaxy J series, specifically the J3. I have virgin mobile, and after a long time suffering with their HTC Desire 510, I want to upgrade, and not wanting to spend $400 on a galaxy S5 , the J3 seems the next best phone to get. However, as I've grown used to having a rooted phone and customizing my phone as much as I want, etc, I want to make sure my next phone can be rooted, and has support for custom ROM's, etc.
The main thing that could help me with my decision would be some guidance as to whether other versions, the J2, J5, J7, etc, that are present here would be potentially compatible with the J3, or if I'm out of luck and should consider other options if rooting is a necessity for me.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Anyone?
I'm sure you can root it.
I'm using j5 and it took me like 15 minutes of reading and about an hour /including downloading and setting up all the things /for the root.
I just want to say that you would need to be prepared to wait until someone make a custom Rom for it.

Thats what I was thinking. I figure that rooting it (hopefully) is similar to the other J series. As long as its rooted, wouldn't I be able to (even w/o custom rom) debloat/customize/etc it with various root tools, apps2sd, etc? Or are those dependent on having a custom rom? On the only phone I've rooted so far (htc desire 510) I didn't really spend any time with stock rom when I rooted, instead immediately flashing Nonsense rom, so I'm not sure what limitations keeping stock rom comes with when rooted.
Thank you for the reply! It gives me a bit of hope at least.
I'm not really familiar with the device. As I said before I have a j5. According to the applications that you mentioned I think that it would be possible to get and install them. But rooting isn't quantum mechanics. There are some apps that you could easily install on almost any device and get the root privileges. For example kingroot I am sure you can find others. I usually root my devices trough pc.I recommend you to take some time before jumping on the first option that comes up as a possible solution.
According to changing the stock Rom. I don't known how developed is that treat so.. Again read here and there about it.
GL!
Let me know if I helped by hitting the thumb up
I dont think permanent root is going to be possible until a working twrp is made so that you can flash supersu. I know that sux, I wanted to get one for my wife because she broke the screen on her vm s3. But without root and the ability to get unlimited hotspot... nope. I asked a dev ( lrs121) if he would port twrp to it. He said he would try if I had the phone and could get him the necessary files from it. Look in the sprint s3 section under twrp for virgin and boost s3. He is a great dev.
Actually far as I can say there are 2 twrp options. you just have to read more

Sorry i was on the phone while traveling. I`ve mistaken that it was about the j5 ( like mine device) and for that especially i had tried 2 working options up to now for twrp. but i`m pretty sure you can find tutorials or you can even simply DL the twrp /for example/ 3 install it as an apk and than you if it stuck just would need to DL odin for your PC and than strictly follow the steps / install /unzip odin, connect device , go into DL mode and flash it with the stock ROM which you can find in sammobile /.com i guess/ ?
GL and hit thanks if i helped!
