But how?

I think it is not possible
but you can try this on your own risk
1-Rename SuperSU.Zip to update.zip
2-move this file to sdcard
3-Reboot into recovery mode
4-update from sdcard

[Tuto][CWM]Install easily .img Touch recovery from Android Terminal[i9300]

Hi, this is my first post and I hope it can help you!!!:good:
How to install the latest ClockWorkMod Touch recovery .img easily from the Android Terminal.
First think you need to know is that before do that, you already have your phone ROOTED.
1. Search the model and Download the latest Touch recovery from: clockworkmod.com/rommanager
2. Put the downloaded .img file in the root of your SD Card or phone
3. Rename the file to "recovery.img" (without quotes)
4. Download And install from the Market the app "Android Terminal Emulator" (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm)
5. Open the Terminal Emulator and grant root access
6. Type:
>su
>dd if=/storage/sdcard0/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 bs=4096
>sync
(Note: in my case /storage/sdcard0/is the route where I put the recovery.img, change that with your route)
7. Type:
>reboot recovery
And enjoy you touch ClockWorkMod recovery
Why that way is what's missing from your post what is the benefit .
Most users will use the standard Odin method .
Plus many use the later safer versions like Philz or TWRP .

The idea is to bring another method to flash a recovery directly from your phone without need to convert the .img file into a .tar file. Just like do the app ROM Manager
Enviado desde mi GT-I9300 mediante Tapatalk
I see but as CWM is a tar file and it flashes via Odin .

When you download the CWM from the web page, come in a .img file

The vanilla CWM recovery images come as *.img files in which case this method is of some utility. Just a kind of a good thing to know in case you want to flash the latest CWM recovery rather than wait for Philz or use an alternative like TWRP.

Android N Root Working(Explained)

There are two methods to root Android N .
Method 1
Flash the Supersu.zip from custom recovery.
RC-SuperSU-v2.69-20160313161431.zip
Method 2
This method will work without custom recovery , just download it and go the fastboot and follow the steps .
CF-Auto-Root-bullhead-bullhead-nexus5x-NPC56P.zip
Just download the file
Extract it
reboot your Nexus 5X into bootloader
Now open the root-windows(If you are using windows otherwise select the file which is for your operating system)
Now the command window will open and ask you to enter any key to continue
Then press any key from your keyboard and it will automatically done the remaining process and your phone will reboot
If you device got bootloop then poweroff the device once and power on manually
Thats it you will see the SuperSu icon .
If you like hit the thanks ......
how do you get access to the files on your phone to flash this. I have twrp flashed but it wont get access to any files that are actually on phone so I can not flash SUPSERSU?

Thanks autoroot worked. Also format userdata then flash twrp then flash SuperSU works but after a reboot I'm back to stock recovery again. Do we need a modified boot.img?
Edit:: OK I managed to get twrp to stick but I need password to decrypt data. Tried formatting userdata but stock recovery is back after a reboot

Yes, I did. First, your phone must be decrypted. TWRP cannot be flashed on encrypted Android N.

Three steps:
1. Disable forced-encryption & decrypt (fastboot)
Flash the modified boot.img
Format the data partition
See: http://www.droidorigin.com/decrypt-nexus-5x/
2. Reboot and copy SuperSU 2.74 to internal storage
3. Root
Install TWRP using fastboot
Boot into TWRP and flash SuperSU 2.74

It is the 3.0.2-0 that has the encryption fix. Root on Nexus is achieve normally without a PC, until you choose to use the Chainfire Auto Root tool.
Just flash the latest SuperSU flashable through recovery.

Yes, do that. Flash latest TWRP using Flashify or FlashFire, but that may require root permissions, as far as I remember.
And then, once you have entered TWRP, you can flash the SuperSU zip: https://download.chainfire.eu/964/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328.zip

Then you must get your hands on a PC, and flash TWRP manually through fastboot. Hopefully the latest version will successfully decrypt your device.
That's the only option I am left with.. thanx..
I thought some app like framaroot or king root might have helped
Chal thanx DJ

You did right when you flashed the modified boot.img, but decryption requires complete data wipe too. Alone, the boot.img wouldn't work. It just disables encryption on the boot.
Do all of this while your phone is connected in bootloader mode.
Pick up and flash the boot.img corresponding to your build number, which I guess is NPD35K. (Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/stock-modified-boot-img-regular-root-t3306684)
Then, stay there in the bootloader mode and enter the 'fastboot format userdata' command. Please be sure to backup first, since the format command will wipe off the complete internal storage and all the apps.

After wipe no OS installed :(

I wiped my Device and now i stuck on ( your Device has been unlocked and cant be trusted)
So no OS no Start. To my question. So i habe to download the newest Firmware copy to sd Card
The in twrp to recover and choose the the update zip ?
I don't know, but this is exactly what I will do in your place.

Hmm so i cant Flash if i download Firmware then copy the update.app to sd Card then in twrp recover to Flash?
Use this tool ([DEV] VNS-L21-L22-L31 [EUROPE] Toolkit [0.0.0.8] Bootloader/Recovery/Root/Dual-Sim) to flash first stock recovery.
After that do what you say. I repeat: method to create a folder <dload> on SD-card and put in unzipped update.zip works only with stock recovery.
With twrp it will ask for a file Android Info.txt, something like> Error.... No Android Info.txt!
I just copied Update.zip to sdcard and Installed via twrp and now it's working so can i now just root my device again via twrp ?
Yes, root it via twrp.
when i root my device. i install gltools then when i start it, its crash.
then im again in bootloop. why is this happen ?
I did it 2 times, with no problem ; into TWRP there is a menu "advanced" I think, and you can find a "button" root, just click.

You cannot use the OEM recovery to install a custom ROM. You must use TWRP.

The only thing you can flash in recovery mode is a factory OTA update image. You can use Samloader to download an OTA update; you can then either put it on a SD card and update through recovery, or you can use ADB sideload.
