Which one to choose: Huawei Mate 8 or Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro? - Mate 8 General

I've done tons of research for choosing my next phone and the choice basically boils down to these two phones now. They both have massive batteries, which is what I need, although the A9 Pro has a bigger one. I thought I'd be better to get a second opinion from people who've already used the Mate 8 before getting one.
Here's what I've found:
Huawei Mate 8:
Pros:
+Insanely fast and snappy
+64 GB storage (important), even has a 128 GB version!
+Possibly slightly better camera than on A9 Pro (not sure)
+Covers a huge number of bands (pretty important, I will be traveling to many places)
+SloMo video
Cons:
-EMUI
-EMUI
-Subscription to a company that does crappy software
-Fingerprint scanner on the back
-On-screen buttons
Galaxy A9 Pro:
Pros:
+TouchWiz
+TouchWiz
+Subscription to a company that does civilized software
+Still pretty fast, also has 4 GB RAM
+Bigger battery at 5000mAh
+Dual SIM + dedicated microSD slot
+AMOLED screen could be a slight advantage
+Fingerprint scanner on the front
+Physical home button + capacitive buttons (I'm just so used to them coming from a Samsung device, but I'm sure I could also get used to on-screen buttons)
Cons:
- Camera a little bit underwhelming and can be hit or miss in some settings (e.g. G Note 4 camera is better)
- 32 GB storage only (guess I could live with it)
- Doesn't cover nearly as many bands
- No SloMo video, only 30 fps
The Mate 8 is clearly better hardware-wise, but I'm really concerned about the EMUI. I've read varying opinions that Nova Launcher solves most of the problems, but then also that you're still kind of stuck with menus and notification drawer that tries to look like iOS really hard. I'm also not very keen on rooting the phone and flashing a new ROM, I want something stable and that works right out of the box.
Is EMUI really that bad? Is it buggy? Are you having any issues with it? I watched some videos on YT of Huawei Mate 8 with Nova Launcher and it looked pretty good. Some people told me that after setting up the Nova Launcher they can barely tell it's EMUI, and that the notification drawer is customizable.
The A9 Pro does have that big advantage of having a peace of mind that your UI is optimized (inb4 hating on TouchWiz - it's surely way better than EMUI) and will continue to run well in the future. And that monster 5000mAh battery... it's really tempting.
What are your suggestions? Is Huawei Mate 8 still a good phone for me if I don't want to do any rooting or flashing?
Also I'm based in China. Will buying the Mate 8 in China come with any cons vs. buying outside of China? Or I just download and install the Google apks and I'm good to go?
*Disclaimer - I'm also posting this on Galaxy A series subforum to get opinions from Samsung users.

I choosed Huawei Mate 8 over A9pro

There are plenty of EMUI themes on xda that gives you material design icons , you can just install one or use together with 3rd party launcher like Nova, no need to root or switch rom for this.
The notification and quick settings menu looked nothing like ios, unless you think anything with some transparency effect equals ios. To me they look much better than that bluish-green and busy looking drop-down on touchwiz, although touchwiz does give you a bit more options on what to put on the quick settings panel. The (non-quick) settings menu may have more of a resemblance to ios in UI design, but so what, it looks clean and easy to use. Besides, how often will you be looking at the settings menu?
Overall, I'm generally satisfied with the aesthetics of EMUI 4 (I'd argue some parts better looking than touchwiz or even stock android). The main things I don't like are the stock icons and forced icon boarder, and to a lesser extent the default launcher. These are easily solvable by installing a theme and Nova Prime.
As far as user experience goes, the system runs stable, fast, and not buggy for me (what's with the hating that made you so sure Touchwiz optimized better? ) But there are some things you may want know if you haven't used EMUI before:
By default there will be power-intensive prompts and it will auto-close apps while screen is off. Some people find it unnecessary and annoying, but they can be turned off altogether or be excluded on selected apps. Just adjust it to the way you like in settings.
Some people complained about missing or delayed push notification when the phone has been idle for a few hours, I experienced it as well on early ROM versions, but I no longer encounter this problem since the last few OTA updates, push notifications now come like normal (instantly).
If you rely on on-going notification apps that shows dynamic interactive icon on the top status bar (e.g. an always-on weather app that shows current temperature in its icon), it may not work on the EMUI status bar as it will only show the default app icon. I don't use these kind of things so I'm not affected, but that's just me.
EMUI 4.x has extensive app specific battery-use management, network-use management, and phone/text harassment filter, which are great in general. But I find the harassment filter a little bit lacking in that you can't block text and phone calls using separate rules.
The camera hardware is just meh/passable if compared to other high-end phones, but still better than mid-range phones like the Galaxy a9. The camera app on EMUI 4.0 is good, on EMUI 4.1 it is great (the best I have used). EMUI 4.1 is recently being pushed to some Mate 8.
I don't know if you used 6 inch phones before or not, but I would think that having a back fingerprint scanner rather than a front one is a blessing and not a con on 6 inch devices. I'm a fan of front scanners on smaller phones, but if you tried to hold a 6-inch phone you will know how much more comfortable it is to unlock with your index-finger than with your thumb (unless you have huge hands, or that you use your phone placed on a table much more often than holding it)
If you are a die hard stock/MD fans and can't stand any EMUI design cues, or if you like flashing different roms, then you will have a hard time owning an Mate 8, because it is unlikely that you will find Cyanogen/AOSP rom for this device given that it uses Kirin SoC.
But if you don't like manually flashing roms, the Mate 8 will actually receive better rom support than the a9, because Mate 8 is a much more important product line for Huawei than the a9 is for Samsung. The Mate 8 has been on android marshmallow since the beginning, yet many Galaxy a9 are still on lollipop today (marshmallow for a9 just rolling out for a couple weeks). Mate 8 will likely receive support up to Android N/EMUI 5.0, but for the a9 I'm less confident about it.

Emui is horrible and plagued with old bugs. Install Google launcher or similar for great experience.
I installed twisted mate 8 which is a stock like custom rom.

Thanks all for the input, I ended up buying the Mate 8, 64 GB version. I couldn't be more happy, the battery life on that thing is insane and just what I need.

Great, you will notice the Touchwiz was the real battery sucker and no matter how big the battery it would manage to drain it quickly. On the other side you have the glorious Mate 8 with the ugly EMUI but the great battery management. Just change the launcher, I personally have Google launcher but if you need more customization then you can choose another launcher but that will surely decrease the battery life.

Help me decide: Mate 8 or OnePlus 3T?

I have a OP3T 128GB version running Nougat, but I'm a former Samsung Note user who got spoiled by the bigger screen and the LTE bands aren't supported in my region on the 3T, so I'm leaning toward picking up a Mate 8 which does support LTE in my region for a good price and selling the OP3T.
Would you think it's a bad decision?
Well the most reasonable update would be the Mate 9. Still if the op3 does not support LTE in your region it is enough reason to look for a different phone. I have had both and they run pretty smooth, the Mate 8 with Nougat is just impressive. Besides the bigger screen makes it a winner. The OP3 has more ram and a newer processor, but in everyday tasks you won notice the difference.

Do the on screen buttons take up the extra half-inch that is gained by going from the 5.5 inch to the 6 inch screen without capacitive off screen buttons?
On older android versions, the on screen buttons were always there. But on the mate 8 and other modern android phones, they disappear majority of the time. Like in videos or games, its utilises the full screen.
Regarding the mate 8 vs op3t, it would be ideal to get a mate 9 instead. Unless cost is an issue, then both are equally as compelling. Bigger screen, dual sim & better battery with mate8 or amoled display, more compact device, faster hardware with op3t.
Depends on personal preference really.

Hi,
It is not a bad decision at all.
Oneplusone3T 128GB is one of the phones recently released so you have every chance of getting gr8 returns.
Mate 8 + Nougat is awesome! and matches very closely to Mate 9 but Mate 9 as you know has better hardware with Kirin 960 is nearly 30% faster from what I read on the net. Even in the benchmarks you can see the difference.
If you choose Mate 8 then go for (NXT-L29) model.
- Rooting, unlocking, is so much easier.
- Battery life is awesome ( 10hr SOT for many, 5hr to 8hr - few more , 8hr to 10hr )
- Excellent features.
- Phone feels solid, big screen, camera is fine.
- Performance is really good - no lags, no overheating, 2hrs to charge,
- Cost 500$ for 64GB, Amazon has good deals.
- For the buttons - you have the option to hide them temporarily ( like autohide taskbar in windows) it is something similar
- Mate 8 + Nougat = Awesome! :good:
Mate 9
- Excellent processor, camera , battery (better hardware) performance. Android Nougat.
- Screen size 5.9" , it has NFC and almost everything that Mate 8 has.
So if you are not bothered about money then Mate 9 is totally worth it. Bigger and better battery life of Mate 9 will allow you to enjoy the phone more. Few screenshots attached.
Go for it.
Cheers!

It does, but as someone who used both the Oneplus and the Mate series, I find it a non-issue.
The mate 8 has really thin chin so having the buttons a bit higher is beneficial for your hands. Screen estate is not a problem in general usage like browsing or using apps, it is still spacious enough compared to any other phone, and on webpages you'll be scrolling anyway. When screen size really matters like playing a game or watching a video, the nav keys auto-hide and you have the full 6 inch to enjoy. Plus there is the extra advantage of avoiding accidental touch on the nav keys when you hold the phone sideways, which could be annoying on phones with capacitive keys.
You also have the options to use quick toggle to hide it, or use the "dot" style keys.
Besides the screen, the biggest advantage the Mate 8 will give you is battery life, it will be significantly better than the oneplus 3. The EMUI 5 is also arguably a more complete system. General smoothness should be on par in both phones, maybe slightly better for Mate 8.
The disadvantage will be in gaming performance, camera performance, and a little inconvenience if you often use the phone on the table (fingerprint on the back). But these disadvantages are quite minor in my experience, I haven't got any lag issue playing the 3d games I play, the camera on Mate 8 is still fine (just not 2016 flagship level), and if you use the phone mostly by holding it then backside fingerprint is a pro.

I'll need to buy the L-09 model, since it supports LTE in my market and it has 3GB of RAM where the other model has 4GB, but I appreciate the feedback comparing the two.

I need L-09 because the L-29 model doesn't have my LTE bands, but is there a Nougat ROM for the 3GB L0-09 variant also?

They will all get Nougat ROM, but right now only Chinese versions has stable updates pushed out. For other international versions, you will either have to manually flash a Nougat ROM or join a beta program (availability varies) in order to use Nougat and EMUI 5.0 immediately. Otherwise you will have to wait a few more weeks to get the stable version Nougat update via OTA.
Firmware updates - L09

Hi,
There are Nougat ROMs available in this thread
You can choose which one is suitable for L09.
I found the link to Nougat for L09 here in this post
That thread has lot of important information about firmwares especially Nougat.
You can also find suitable firmware using Firmware Finder from playstore here is the link for that app
But like beachletter explained in previous post, you have to be vary about the stable updates currently available for L09. Since people with NXT-L29 model are able to root easily, I suggested you that model. But I understand why you want to choose L09.
Hope this helps.

Honor 8 outperformed my S8

So I found my Honor 8 in the drawer this morning and for fun I tried booting it up. So imagine my suprise when my Kirin 950 just about blasted through every freaking app I had.
How can this be
I know the S8 has some layers of software on top of Android but so does Honor's EMUI. Apps and webpages loads faster on the Kirin than the Exynos...
Did I pay 3-400$ just for the bigger screen?
Anyone have any opinions?

If "blasting through every freaking app you have" is what you typically use your phone for save some money and sell your S8 and use the Huawei phone. I'm guessing most people spend their time in a couple of apps for some duration. I'd find it hard to believe there's a noticeable difference between contemporary phones in those scenarios. That's where things like design, the display, and other features set phones apart. Buy what makes you happy.
How does it handle Dolphin emulator and ppsspp? ?
Huawei has better optimised software
For real , I feel my wife honor 8 more smooth than my s8
I have both and used both for at least a few weeks. I'd say it really shows how smart phone is gradually saturating in features and hardware vs need.
The honor 8 was a replacement for my previous gone-with-the-river phone (zuk Z2, another great one in SOC wise, super cheap but lacks good build and good ROM support), I did not expect much and it's surprisingly good in general, especially considering the price (32GB, sub $300 typically, $240-260 a few times). It's well built, and while no spec shines, it really lacks nothing IMO. Maybe a multi function finger print sensor button will be a good additional feature.
When comparing to the S8, I don't feel much difference in real experience, including smoothness. S8 got a better camera and gorgeous design/screen, and that's about it for me. For mere performance, S8 loads game/graphics faster. Actually I feel the interfaces/function layouts are kinds of similar to each other, and different from Zuk's ZUI and native android. The overall futuristic design is about the only true reason for me to keep the S8, at a much higher price.
I had an Honor 8 and prefer my S8+ in every aspect, it plays games better at a much higher resolution which makes them look much better. It has Gear VR which if you have not used the new one with the controller is actually awesome, the camera is a lot better despite Huwei's claims and whats on paper, in the real world the camera is much much better and faster.
I've owned previously and mate 9 with more powerfull hardware than honor 8, and maybe mate 9 can be fast in some task than the s8, but I won't go back to mate 9, like someone said before there is a very little difference in nowadays phones, and its almost impossible to feel the difference in day use.. So the choice reduces to individual preferences and small details, for example maybe Oneplus 3t can be faster and better optimized than s8, but I love the screen ratio on s8 and now even I like very much Samsung UX.

Honor 8 has built in mult function fingerprint sensor. You can turn on the feature in settings and even program it to do what you want right out the box.
You can even swipe thru the photos in the gallery..if you still have the Honor 8 play with this feature...it's definitely a big reason to have the phone!

yes, Honor 8 finger print sensor has some gesture support
by saying "multi function finger print sensor", I meant such as the one on the Zuk Z2, which can replace the navigation bar (back/home/menu keys). That saves some screen space and makes full screen display intact.
I have an Xiaomi Mi A1 with custom kernel and Lineage 15.1 with the latest nightly and it outperforms my S8 in so many ways. Samsungs bloat totally bottlenecks their hardware. There should be an Android One version.

My thoughts after 2 weeks of ownership...

So, after using the Note 8 for the last 2 years, I decided that I wanted to try something new. There was nothing wrong with my Note 8 except for screen burn-in ( I hope this doesn't do the same thing). I was really impressed when I opened the eBay package. Phone, Charger, USB-C cable, "case" and the seller tossed in an international to USA adapter. The initial setup was a typical android. Once I got it set up, there were a few updates and I was ready to roll. The thing that impressed me the most initially was the build quality and display. This phone does not feel like a sub $400 phone. It feels just as solid as my note 8. The next biggest plus was the display.. It's gorgeous!! and compared to my note 8, the colors are more realistic. This was immediately noticeable on Instagram. I'm with T-mobile and it configured everything correctly. I tested SMS, data, and voice. All worked as they should.
Some Pros:
The build and display rival much more expensive phones
The cameras on the back are very good. Video and stills are more than acceptable.
The battery life is AMAZING, I don't know what kind of voodoo Xiaomi is doing, but the phone lasts all day. I felt like I had to constantly keep my note 8 on a charger.
The OS runs really smooth and I've not had any app crashes
Some Cons:
The fingerprint ready can be hit or miss at times... Hopefully can be sorted with a software patch
The Selfie Camera is average, not nearly as impressive as the rear cameras.
Accessories are a bit sparse at the moment ( looking for a good-tempered glass cover)
The UI... This may be a plus for some, but after a few days, I gave up on it and went to Nova, I could not figure out how to remove icons from the desktop and there isn't a app drawer (that I could find). I think I will eventually give it another chance.
No SD or wireless (It can't be that hard to add these)
Summary: While not perfect, It's pretty damn close.. All they need to add is wireless charging and a few tweaks to make this a gem. If you have any questions about features, feel free to ask.
really nice review, agreed on most of the points except the SD thing since 128GB is more than enough for me.
Totaly agree ! I have to say that I don't care about wireless charging since I can't use the phone even for a call while charge xD but I understand, also sound quality is pretty good.
SD card + IP68 and it's really perfect !

Fingerprint works great for me, you have to train it a handful of times and it's perfect.
Selfie camera I'm still tinkering around with Gcam and what not, no opinion on it yet.
The UI + a launcher is fine, in my case im using the microsoft halo launcher.
My problems this being my first Mi phone was that the wifi was going down every few minutes, switched to a 2.4ghz network and seems to be more stable for whatever reason.
Auto brightness ****ing sucks but I think I've found a solution... > Disable automatic contrast.
Notifications / Sreenlock notifications, wasn't receiving any, being used to taking it for granted, figured out I had to activate it "per-app", but there's an easy way to do this Settings / Manage Apps / Permissions / Other Permissions / Permissions (on top) / "Show on Lock Screen"
If you want to go back and use the MI launcher with app drawer, I suggest you download Poco laucher, which has this possibility and enables you to switch off the phone with the double tap, amongst other useful other tweaks.
Cheers

The halo launcher has this functionality as well.
I use the Xiaomi Poco launcher 2.0. Best launcher out there.
Agree with you with all of those points. What about the vibration for notifications? while in hand feel is great. I find it hard to notice in my pocket.
I had the galaxy s8 before so that's what I'm comparing it against.
Is it that mi9t comes with a MIUI launcher?
As of my K20 indian variant was bundled with the poco launcher instead of MIUI launcher and app drawer etc. Was never a problem for me then.
I cannot find any cons with this phone. Ok, fingerprint is not perfect, but I expected this when coming from a phone with capacitive sensor.I didn't test Oneplus's sensor, but after I tried the one in Galaxy A50, this one is at least 3x better. I really cannot complain about anything else...this could easily be a 600$ Samsung phone, but fortunately it isn't
After using Xiaomi Mi6 for two years it never slowed down, and even now it runs circles around all midrange Samsung/Huawei... phones without a sweat. Sold it because battery backup is around 5hrs Sot, and that is not enough for me anymore.
I tried almost all phone brands, and I can only reccomend Xiaomi and Oneplus....other just don't make sense
Don't expect a "perfect" phone for its price. That's why they don't put a sd card slot and a wireless charging to make the phone a "budget phone".
Well, my thoughts after a few days... it blows the Samsung A50 I had before out of the water. It's like going from very much midrange to the luxury class without paying the luxury price. Sure, there are a few occasions where you can notice the lower cost. But not where it really counts.
For me, it was the fingerprint sensor on the A50 that made me look elsewhere and finally go back to Xiaomi. Still not comparable to a dedicated one even on the cheapest models but lightyears beyond the crap Samsung puts under the display. Also, the Mi 9T doesn't have trouble knowing where it is so Smart Unlock works, as does Face Unlock even when not standing in a brightly lit studio.
Yes, I find that quite important as one unlocks the thing like 600 times per day
The whole experience is much more fluid. Not seeing the need for an alternative ROM - even tho they exist, thanks to the Snappy inside.
My main niggle is an old one with Xiaomi: sound. Why the heck can't they get this right? Everybody listens to music all the time and I know from experience what even the cheaper models are capable of. So why do we get such thin tinny sound out of the box, cable or not? And why does it start distorting the second you touch the equalizer? That's the one thing Samsung's midrange does better; I never saw the need to root the A50 for V4A. With the Mi 9T I very much do (hanging in the waiting period now grrrrrrr). It's generally surprising to me why phone makers don't give more care to this. I mean how hard can it be to include some V4A routines or something? Or am I weird in caring about some bass and body to my music?
Anyway, happy to have made the switch. Good deal.
there is an app drawer on system launcher look at the system setting find the home screen then you will find the regular one and with app drawer. :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=amirz.rootless.nexuslauncher&hl=en_US
I use rootless launcher as my default, i tried poco but it didnt have the google feed and the stock launcher icons on the home screen was too much to bare with.
full screen gestures also enabled

My X2 Pro Short review

I have to start of saying that this phone is excellent. Atleast the EU version.
Coming from a Note 9, then the K20 Pro (albeit the chinese version). I wasn't satisfied with either of those phones.
The X2 pro seems to have all the qualities I wanted in a phone. The only exception being the absence of lockscreen notifications like in the samsung & MIUI.
ColorOS seems to get a lot of unwarranted negativity in the forums & reddit. I honestly don't get why. It has ALL the features of competing skins/OS/launchers and MORE. Perhaps these features are bit harder to find?
Some examples:
1. Dark theme , system wide with the option to FORCE it within apps as well
2. Pop out sidebar (like in samsung for shortcuts)
3. Customizable buttons in the pop down slider
4. Gesture navigation - which is also decently customizable. There is even an option for samsung like gesture navigation (a total rip-off of it!)
5. Customizable app drawer experience
There's so many other small features for ease of use that I honestly don't feel ANYTHING missing compared to my experience with OneUI or MIUI. In fact I find ColorOS easier and overall more efficient to use.
This is on top of all the amazing hardware : 90 hz Oled display. Snapdragon 855 plus. Dual Speakers (LOUD and clear). 4000 Mah battery that charges so fast your jaw will drop. A super fast face unlock - pull phone from pocket and in the time it takes for your finger to almost touch the screen - BOOM it's unlocked. Fingerprint unlock is way faster than the K20 pro (and doesn't seem to screw up at all in comparison)
The last 2 points may seem trivial - but a quick, zero frustration unlock makes a huge difference to me
The only thing I would like improved/implemented is lockscreen notifications.
This phone is a keeper for years. I just hope the damn battery doesn't explode with how fast it charges.
I just ordered mine for only 457 eur which is so ridiculous for those top-notch specs! For me, it only misses 2 things to be perfect. Wireless charging and micro sd slot. Otherwise, it is the most complete phone atm.
I sold MI9 for this and I must say... this damn thing is the best phone i EVER had !

OP 8 Pro vs Mi 10 pro

Hi friends. which is better?
OP 8 Pro dont have dxomark score
Gsmarena camera compare , op 8 pro is better
I like xiaomi and miui. I have k20 pro now
Thanks for reply. Sorry for my bad english
If you like xiaomi and miui then you should buy their devices.
Have answered a similar thread to this, you're measuring oranges and apples, there is no right answer.
Only your opinion, which means it's totally subjective.
My advice? Visit a store and see, check out some reviews.
For me it's the 1+, mainly because of the camera, the screen, the software and I once unlocked a friend's Xiaomi bootloader and it forced me to wait 15 days? Not sure if that's still a process of theirs but no thanks.
Their policy on bootloader unlocking reminds me of Huawei in a way, so for me it's got to be Oneplus.
Also OnePlus has been a competitor globally since it's inception whereas Xiaomi was native to China.
Thanks friends for reply
I was choosing between this also before but I ended with OnePlus but if camera is important for you go for mi10 now if you want an overall better experience I'll recommend OnePlus for the reason it's close to stock Android no xiaomi bloatware and their launcher ui I don't like it.
The OnePlus & XDA for the win! Cheers
Thanks friends for new reply

I was also a long term Xiaomi user, and was using the K20 Pro like you till the last week. I just got my Oneplus 8 Pro this week and I must say that it's awesome. If you ask my opinion, I'm loving the Oxygen OS experience more than MIUI, its much more customizable and smooth and close to stock android, but you might just miss out on some features from MIUI.
Talking about the Oneplus 8 Pro, the 120hz is super smooth and I must say that the display is the best part, if you don't mind using a curved screen. Cameras are also great and using Gcam further improves the experience, the front cam isn't good in low light conditions though. The only issue I faced was overheating, but it seems to be fine after 3-4 days of use. It still runs warmer than the K20 Pro in comparison.
Overall for me, I think I made the right choice since I'm satisfied with the device and experience.
Buy mi10 pro. It at least work like intended doesn't freezes and hangs like ****ty 8 pro.

Loool what planet you on pal? If your device is freezing then you got a dud, either that or you've gone mental.
Thaks for reply friends
It hangs while using Android webview. Chrome which is stock built in browser doesn't work since October on OnePlus 7 and their poor and lazy developers show us middle finger moving the same bug to 8 pro. Even tweeter lags on this ****ty device. It's far better experience to use my old Pixel 2 XL than this crap. Oppo is just scam, a lot of numbers in specification but it even not work like intended.

I have both phone and I think there r pro and cons.
When I use op8 pro I miss the below feature from mi 10 pro.
1. Fast 50w charging - 40 min to full charge
2. IR control - I use that to on TV and air conditioner
3. Dual wifi band - use 2.4 And 5ghz at the same time
4. Nicer Animations icons and transition effect from miui default theme - the version I used come with app drawer
5. Longer battery life
6. More charger and battery bank friendly
7. Camera slightly better
When I use mi 10 pro
1. Miss ip68 - I wash my phone quite often due to covid19
2. Hardware slider like iPhone switch which is super convenient. I wish all Android make this hardware switch
3. One plus launcher speed and icon changer
4. Less configuration to deal with as it does not have agressive battery saving setting. E.g. for xiaomi, I have enable auto restart services on some apps that are not able to work well or lag in notification as that is their default setting
5. Design of the camera logical placement as my hand don't touch them while holding
6. Screen color calibration (personal) not because resolution and 120mhz
In the end, op8 pro is my daily driver phone even mi 10 pro score 7 against 6 because I am sold on ip68 and hardware slider and their screen color. Both phone are equally good so it lies on which top 3 factor is the main choice for u to choose
