Boot Animations? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Now that there is root, I was wondering how changing the boot animation works. I went to /system/media and there were a ton of different .qmg files, I'm assuming that it's the ones with SPR in the beginning? Here is a screenshot https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3uQdFqizj_5R3Ixc25NU2tLZFE/view?usp=drivesdk.
Thanks!

https://plus.google.com/+MaxLee/posts/EbVhroRiumQ just follow this but also delete the ones the say SPR like SPR_BOOTSAMSUNG.QMG or else it won't work.

Samsung I337 4.4.2 update issues

Anybody got issues with latest update 4.4.2 for AT&T I337 mobile?
Please post here issues you are facing with latest update.
Thanks!!
None of my end so far. I just updated it last night around 1am EST. Been running since then perfectly fine. The phone is noticeably faster than before and has a quicker response time as well.
After the update the only thing I did have to do extra was reinstall SwiftKey. Any programs that I had that were in a paid status had to be reinstalled. Non-paid apps stayed with no issue.

I get stuck at the downloading screen. I am rooted so I don't know if that is the problem. Now I cant even boot to the recovery screen.

I got a message through FX File Explorer that the SD Card is read only with 4.4.2 KitKat and I cant write to it, anybody else? Why'd they make that change

Restoring with ODIN worked great, must have been trying with the wrong ROM. Now just wish we could root this one and have a variant of the 4.4 that did not have all the bloatware. Don't need all the Samsung and AT&T apps.

Hmm, not sure. I just tested it with my phone. Moved files to the SD, Renamed, Modified, etc... No issues. I tried with the Explorer that came with my phone as well as two file explorers that I tested out from the Play Store. Seems to be working fine for myself. Not sure why it's not working for you.

Overall Ifind the update made my phone much snappier and the data seems faster but speedtest has it the same. The illusion must be from the phone being snappier. I disable new bloatware Beats Music.
I wanted to try ART but it appears Samsung has chosen not to include it.I'm hoping the pieces are still there and it can be enabled once root is obtained.
I have not had any SD Card issues but if I do I assume it may be something that can be worked around with root. So looking for a root method, I am.

It is supposed to work with the built-in file manager, but not with third party apps. Can you tell me which file explorers (beside the built in) lets you rename files on the external SD? I have tried several and that all fail (except the built in one).
It works fine.

Newest version of xposed is working on the g4!

I was able to get all the files into the proper dir but I'm not sure if I set the permissions correctly on a couple of the files, at any rate it resulted in the phone hanging on boot animation. 810 variant.
You need to install xposed through twrp, which is currently only available for select H815's and H811's. There is a theory similar to the way most people achieved root to get xposed, where you get a system image with xposed installed already and flash it, but I can't really comment on its validity.
I'd only be concerned if an xposed module causes some sort of bootloop and you can't do much other than flash a system img which means you lose a lot of data. No working recovery is risky

The permissions still need to be set properly with a slipstreamed system image i believe, hopefully someone with more experience tries it out.
Is there a way i can install xposed mannually with a locked bootloader? I have the h815 model and i cant unlock the bootloader.
Worked on my H811.

How to get WiFi Calling and VoLTE with T-Mobile or MetroPCS in USA with F/FD Models

Ok so I've spent the entire time this phone has been on the market (march 2016) trying to get WiFi Calling and VoLTE working on T-Mobile or MetroPCS in the USA. With the Note 7 ports I had some luck and when Nougat finally came I needed to figure it out again. so here's what you do. First download the file Attached to this post, and you're going to need
Super stock ROM from Tkkg1994
Or
this ROM from ambasadii . Will this work with other ROMs? Well i've tried it on Superman and it didn't work but I think it might have to do with those ROMs being DeODEXed maybe not I don't know. I understand the difference but not why, so bear with me. If you get it working on other ROMs let me know.
Unzip the file attached and move it onto your phone somewhere, it doesn't matter where as long as you know where.
OK so now wipe your phone and Flash that ROM, I chose BTU CSC i don't think it matter though. NOW DON'T Reboot.
Go to the main menu in TWRP go to File Manager now you'll notice that the folders in that zip look like your /system/ right? so just cops the folders and files and then paste them in their respective folders in your /system/
I shouldn't have to say this but don't copy the priv-app folder and paste it or any others that have more files and folders that the one you're copying. but you can just copy and paste the /system/csc/ folder
when all those files are in their respective places just reboot the phone and you should be good to go.
I hope this makes sense, finally we can have WiFi Calling AND VoLTE AND be on Nougat AND live in the USA
ATTENTION: THE ZIP FILE ATTACHED IS NOT A FLASHABLE ZIP YOU NEED TO EXTRACT IT AND PLACE THE FILES YOURSELF IN TWRP'S FILE MANAGER.
I'd have made it a rar but I have a Mac and this is easier.
This works in super stock by tkkg1994 too which is deODEXed so..... https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/rom-superstoc-rom-v1-0-aroma-t3496520
Bro thank you. Worked for me.

Opened some of the CSC XMLs and there is a all kinds of references to T-Mobile. I wonder If this can be modified to apply to a G930F S7 running Nougat [ambasii ROM] on AT&T.

Does at&t have wifi calling? The volte will probably work but I think T-Mobile has a very different wifi calling than everyone else which is why is so damn hard to get it to work on these phones. But I could be wrong.
You can try the Note 7 port CSC changer by tkkg1994 might work.

The stock contacts app crashes, so I just replaced it with a custom one which still works fine. I'm still able to make and receive voLTE calls. Do you know why the stock one crashes? Can I fix that by just copying the files from here? OP could benefit from some bullet points or something, this guide is a little confusing.

So I flashed only the AP tar. Secure folder won't setup. Its says unauthorized software was installed. Is this because I didn't flash the other files?
Tell you what thought! This debloated firmware is pretty nice and clean. Properly debloated and not KC debloated where it doesn't work well And battery discharge is seems very good. I think its been a little bit over an hour and I'm still at 100% after taking off charge. Thanks for this OP.

Leeco le pro 3 x727 No service/No voice calls

Hello to everyone
This is my first post-thread on this forum. I am a new owner of Leeco Le pro 3 x727. The phone came to me without Greek language which i prefer. I tried successfully and flashed a custom ROM(lineage 15.1) i found on the internet and also a custom recovery. One day unfortunately i decided to revert back factory ROM and firmware. After that my smartphone lost cellular signal and has No service. My IMEI and MEID was lost too, but i managed to restore them. The problem with signal persists although i have tried many Guides(QPST/DFS TOOL) to fix. Also in settings shows Voice: Radio off/ Data: Radio off and i cannot turn them on from testing menu(*#*#4636#*#*) neither i can select Euro or any other radio band or can set preferred network type. I will attach screenshots later to help if someone knows anything. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

If you have Chinese modem, might need to change persist.radio.multisim.config = NA to dsds.
This is in the build.prop.
See if that helps. Also, if possible, you can root and download Network signal guru to see which Network frequencies the phone says is currently compatible (it'll be missing bands with Chinese firmware/modem.)

So until now i have flashed Lineage 15.1 and i checked apn settings. The problem persists. If i try to restore your efs backup will i have problem with IMEI? Should i change anything to this backup before restoring? And what about build.prop you provided to me?
Thanks

Probably something like antenna module got damaged from re-flashing or rooting. Is that possible? What other options do i have? I have tried everything.
