P8 LITE in bootlop with update at 0% - P8lite Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried several times to update P8 LITE to 6.0 by placing the firmware in a dload folder on the internal storage card it never worked it just says update failed.I looked for several firmwares none of them worked my build version was ALE-L21C432B199.I found one post that said rename the update.app to update.zip and install the firmware.I did that and it started the local update from internal storage and it restarted at 0% [email protected]#ng me in the a#@s and ruining my phone.
The phone got stuck in a bootloop of constant updating and failing at 0%..I tried to go with power+volume up and all the other versions it did nothing.I then conected it to fastboot for a reflash with minimal ADB+fastboot it could not flash **** because it had a locked bootloader it says phone locked in green letters.I cant unlock the bootloader when it's bricked because i don't know the Serial and IMEI for the unlock code procedure.I dont know i should even try unlocking since it's under warranty.I read all the posts i tried the sd card update but i seams that it's set on constantly failing that first update over and over again.Non removable battery makes it even more annoying. This is a simple thing that can be solved with a simple flash that i did on countless Sony and Samsung phones even with their pc suite. But this HI suite is worthless and does not support P8 LITE system recovery !!! so Im stuck in this hell for a simple bootloop.Huawei has no Flashtool or Odin so and no flashmode only fastboot mode that can't be accessed, this makes it even more idiotic.I highly doubt anyone can fix this

Update.app is required name of update package and the IMEI and product ID should be on box of your phone.

I don't have a box never had it in the first place.Update.app by sd card will not work i have a couple of update apps downloaded i could extract the files needed for a reflash with Huawei extract but it can't be done without an unlocked bootloader.LIke i said i don't necessarily want to unlock the bootloader if it kills my warranty i bought the sh$#y Huawei because it had warranty not because i liked it.

I said in the first post that i tried that it does not work, the HI Suite does not support Huawei P8 lite for system recovery it is useless.I urge people to read the first post and then give a solution if they have one. This is a large problem for any P8 lite owner we don't need several pages of useless replies that just clutter's the thread.I"m trying to make it simple for the next poor fool that tries to upgrade his phone to Marshmallow and get's fu#@$ed because nobody warned him. After i fix this i will never touch another android system or root or even consider flashing anything these new phones are a nightmare.

Ok, i did follow the steps and it still doesnt boot! What should i try next?
If you installed an update zip it probably wants the stock recovery which you can get in the development thread on this forum. Flash that through fastboot then throw a folder named dload with an update.app in it on your sd card. Phone off hold power vol up and vol down until it brings you to a circle with emui inside. Should run fine after that. If not use the stock recovery to factory reset.
The reason your phone won't boot is because out never encrypted itself.for some reason that means life or death to mate 8 firmware

when you start the flash.all.bat and you see the unbrick message your phone should be busy and install the above official firmware and recovery. If not run it again disconnect your phone and connect it again when the unbrick message shows. To me worked fine. You must have your phone in fastboot off course

Stuck in huawei logo

hy guys,
i got an ALE-L21 and I'm from Portugal.
I tried to root the phone for the first time with this tutorial, first with "How to Unlock the bootloader on your Huawei Android device P8 Lite" by Rootjunky.com from youtube and then "How to Root the Huawei P8 Lite Android phone" from the same author. but something went wrong, and now i'm stuck in huawei logo.
I already tried to format sd card, and put some firmwares, just with the paste dload, with the file on it, but it always says "software install failed"
V100R001C432B052 (Dual SIM / Europe)
V100R001C432B041c (Europe)
V100R001C432B046b (West Europe)
those 3 didnt work - how do i figure out which one i need without starting the device to look for the build number
it is also rooted what i guess caused the problem in the first place
Please help me!

P8 Lite Boot loop

I've been trying almost everything for days. When I turn on the phone the bootloader enters in a loop.
I can't access to recovery (vol up + power), not even in update mode(vol up & vol down + power).
The only thing I can access is the fastboot but my phone is locked and I don't the have the imei to unlock via calculator or the oficial huawei page.
If someone have any suggestions.

If getting your IMEI is your only concern then you can get that from the box... But you'll need Product ID too, and for that you'll need to have your phone booted up...

I downloaded the official ROM from huawei and is the recent version but when I tried to install it with "fastboot update file.zip" is asking for an android-text.txt and I been searching to re-create that file manually and then is asking for another file and so on.
I've been searching if I can install the oficcial ROM by fastboot even if is not unlocked and find this guide but it is not usefull for me 'cause I can't access into the download mode or use adb.
This is the information I could extract from my phone.
Firmware : ALE-L21C109B130
I couldn't fint this version of firmware.
If you could light my way if you have another method.

Ok i searched for ways to find an IMEI number and found couple of ways...
1) Look under/in the sim tray. It may be there (I didn't check this out)
2) Find the IMEI/MEID using Google Dashboard. This is Google's control center that can be accessed from any computer with a web browser. You will need to log in with the Google account associated with your Android phone. You can access Google Dashboard by visiting www.google.com/settings/dashboard Expand the "Android" section by clicking the "Android" heading.Locate your phone in the list. If you have multiple devices associated with your account, all of the devices will be displayed. Find the device that you are trying to retrieve the IMEI/MEID number for. (This works)
3) At last, you can try to remove the back case and remove the battery. This can help you in 2 ways. Firstly, there should be IMEI code present under the battery. Secondly, this may cause you to get out of bootloop

Stupid question but I will ask it anyway did you md5 check all of the files you have downloaded as I have had issues with another device and it was because of bad files

Screwed Up

I tried updating to Nougat and my phone is now bricked. None of the key combinations work on boot except for FASTBOOT&RESCUE MODE, and the phone won't power off, at all, just hangs on the logo when restarting. I flashed this ROM here thinking everything would be OK since it claims to be compataible with my phone but I might have flashed the data zip by mistake. I tried downgrading as seen here but that only made matters worse. Probably should mention that my phone is fully locked too.
Thoughts???

If I can flash stock ROM with FRP locked, how do I do that? I tried to with SRK Tool but it didn't detect my phone, and I have ADB driver installed along with HiSuite.
A little update: I decided to claim on the warranty and get it fixed. Hopefully not unlocking, rooting anything and trying to flash official firmware Huawei wont charge me, but I'm not holding my breath. So I will take this as a lesson learned that the P9 Lite is not a developer friendly phone; well, at least my version anyway.
Thanks for all the help.
How to flash stock ? Flash it via fastboot using cmd on windows . Open dload file ( update.app ) , unpack it with app which u can find on this forum and flash all img files via fastboot . I am not sure if it's gonna work on locked bootloader and frp lock but u Can try
