How do I upgrade Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 SM-560NU to Marshmallow?? - Samsung Galaxy Tab E Questions & Answers

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 SM-T560NU running Android 5.1.1. I have done a lot of searching and reading on the web on trying to upgrade/update this to Marshmallow. I have gather I will have to root my device and install a custom ROM, but I'm not certain how to do this properly. It would help to have a step-by-step guide, rather than a general "Root your device and install a ROM" on it. Thanks in advance!

There are no ROMs for this device yet. But I did get Samsung's Marshmallow update on it already, if you have root, backup your files to something external, and use Samsung Kies 3 to update your device.
I owned a TAB E 9.6 (SM-T560NU) since December 2015, and I got Marshmallow on the device 3 days ago

Somebody can upload this ROM With Marshmallow ?

i cannot belive how "overrated" america is in samsungs eyes.
all tab e's run kitkat, where in the us people rock with MM -.-

Hope someone will port CyanogenMod to Tab E.

Does the Tab e work better with marshmallow vs lollipop? Did samsung add anything of interest?

Please, I want to install Android 6 or at least 5 on my old Samsung Galaxy Tab E T560. I need an easy way to do this. Please help my poor tablet.

Really need to move away from kitkat need help too

If you have a Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 SM-T560NU, you can actually update straight to Nougat by going to sammobile (dot) com and clicking the firmware section at the top, entering your model number and following with the instructions. I always get my firmware updates from there.

Make sure OEM Unlock is turned on in your developer options. You can access them by going to About Tablet and clicking on your build number under Software information like 5 or 6 times

bruh, this is why i decided to go custom rom on it

j327P (Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge) TWRP/ROOT METHOD??

Hey there i have question about the j327P (Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge) that i bought yesterday, I've been searching for a official TWRP & ROOT thread for this phone and had no luck. But i ended up doing my own research and gained a little more information about the phone, it is running a Snapdragon 425 (CPU) and it's also running an Adreno 308 (GPU) along with Marshmallow 6.0.1 (OS).
I later did more research about what phone has the exact same specs as the j327P and if the other phone has a ROOT method along with TWRP. It ended up being an Xiaomi Redmi 4a having a Snapdragon 425 (CPU) an Adreno 308 (GPU) & Marshmallow 6.0.1 (OS). It also has a TWRP & ROOT (SuperSU) method and wondered if i could use those files for the j327P.
And yes i’m aware that the TWRP has to be a tar file so it can be able to put on odin. But i'm wondering if these files can be used to root the j327P?
Lets Find Out

Samsung Galaxy J7 Neo(SM-J701MZDNZTO) TWRP

Ok, i bought this phone recently and i just realized that is a new smartphone from Samsung..i searched everywhere but seems that there is no TWRP or ROOT for this model SM-J701MZDNZTO... will there ever be one? There is a bunch of good apps that doesnt work without root that i miss from my previous smartphone.....
Thanks
I tried to install the J701F TWRP for a while it work but was unstable...ended up having to reflesh to original stock rom... it sucks having a android phone that doesnt have root ...
Same problem u.u
Any prediction to access the root of the galaxy j7 neo?
Im waiting for it too!
Did you find any solution? To root j701m
anyone found anything?
Something to try?
Don't know guys, for sure this device doesn't have a custom ROM ...Yet! I hope but if you have an unlocked bootloader(and if you don't, as I did, there's still hope) it can still be rooted, I used this method here to root:
https://unofficialtwrp.com/root-twrp-galaxy-j7-neo-sm-j701m/
I used it on my device (SM-J701M) and it worked, the TWRP version is unofficial (It's supposed to be compatible with J7 core, J7 neo & J7 nxt models) and a bit buggy but it's better than nothing, and you'll get root, so if it helps kudos to you all.
A word of caution: make a backup, it's pretty easy with SmartSwitch
For those who may have a locked bootloader after the Oreo update as I did, you can reinstall/flash your firmware from SamMobile (https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-j7-neo/firmware/#SM-J701M), using Odin, in most cases, the security patch is not upgraded yet and the firmware version still has the option to unlock bootloader in Developer Options.
You will have to create an account, and you must be specific with your device's carrier, take a note of your baseband version as that will give you an idea of the firmware you will download. I've also successfully upgraded to Pie. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

How to root Galaxy Tab A SM-T355Y running on Nougat 7.1.1?

I've searched all the forums (not limited to xda) but couldn't find a way to root my new baby Samsung Galaxy Tab A SM-T355Y.
I've bought several android phones over the years but this is the first time I bought a Samsung tab and couldn't find a way to root. I guess the problem lies with the Nougat installed on my tab.
I've officially got the nougat update on my tab, here's the link to offline https://samsung-firmware.org/download/GALAXY Tab A/u591/XNZ/T355YDOU1CQI8/T355YXNZ1CQI8/
Any help/advise would be much appreciated.

Check the TWRP thread. Install TWRP via Odin. Then install SuperSU/Magisk manager using TWRP. I was using SuperSU and xposed on the MM build, I'm yet to try Nougat.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB E 8.0 SM-T377P, SPRINT O.S. UPDATE TO Android 7.1.1

While searching for firmware for my Tab E I discovered there is an update available for download.
Update (SM-T377P) latest Firmware Nougat 7.1.1 for Samsung Galaxy Tab E T377PVPU3CQI4
https://samsunggalaxyrom.com/firmware/update-galaxy-tab-e-sm-t377p-t377pvpu3cqi4-android-7-1-1
Can the firmware Nougat 7.1.1 be rooted? I have version 6 on mine and its rooted, will I lose my root if I install 7.1.1?
Please help me, i have a hard bricked SM-T377P, if you have one in hands you can help me to unbrick mine, it will take only 2 minutes! Here is my thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/help-sm-t377p-hard-bricked-debrick-img-t3711889
Thankssssssss!
Sorry, I haven't been on here in a long time. Samsung locked everything down so I haven't even tried to root anything lately. Ever since my Note 8 I gave up until I decide to go with the international versions which is the F model. They're locking down all us phones. I was actually just pulling my tablet out to set it up for my son and I was flipping through the posts. Did you still need me to try to do anyting?

This device is does not have an updated official firmware. Samsung abandoned it at kitkat.
There are unofficial lineage builds in the development section to Nougat.
root not necessary for 7.1.1 using Odin.

Is it a SM-T560 and not a SM-T560NU? I just flashed 7.1.1 on my SM-T560NU and you can do that without having to root the device at all. My SM-T560NU came with 4.4.4 and did an update to 7.1.1 all by itself but then I did root the thing and it started boot-looping so I was forced to put it back at 7.1.1 stock.
Jim
Yes because its improperly rooted and it will revert to stock. You should install a custom recovery, boot directly to that recovery, then root it.

Before you decide to flash any device have the 4file official firmware on hand (stored in a folder). That way, whatever goes wrong you can recover from a bricked device, but there are times as some us know recovery is not possible.
