Did you install the latest update v2.11.150 on RAZRi stock rom 4.1.2 ?
Mmmm no, I have the 2.11.163
Enviado desde mi IdeaTabA1000-F mediante Tapatalk
Mine is fine with v2.11.150. I don't see a way how an app update could brick a phone.
An App like WhatsApp can't brick the phone, it's just an assumption.

Choose the .zip that say arm at the end of its name, not arm64, the uninstaller of the same version, arm, and the only .apk that is attached.

anyone first install .apk or flash .zip ?

It doesn't matter, I flashed the .zip first, then installed the apk. The uninstaller is used only if you want uninstall xposed, obviously.

That's weird, I did it without problems, are you flashing the arm zip or the arm64 one? Maybe your download was corrupted, download it again

Rooting doesn't change anything that affects battery so it's something else.

Not that I'm aware of. All articles I have read say that fastboot is the only method on our device.

No... A computer is required to unlock and install TWRP. Something with working fastboot, so even an ancient P4 with Linux will work, you don't need anything special.
