can my g935p be fully rooted? including unlocking bootloader? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

Apparently the boatloader can not be unlocked as of 6/25/16 and there's no hope of that ever happening.
If there is a fully rootable version of the s7 or edge that's compatible with Sprint in the states please post it here.

My god. No and no. Please read through the forums . Please.

Yeah thanks. I have been... for hours. My search terms must be lacking or I just can't find the relevant info in a 75 page thread. Then the stuff I am finding is from March so I was looking for something more recent. Again thanks for confirming this. I really appreciate it.

Possible root?

This method is for the chinse version of our phones... but i figured they are snapdragon so there components are their same? I know tmobile and sprint have the same parts and everything so maybe this will work. Its a recovery file and i will be trying it as soon as possible.

Question about BOG5

If my buddy got a refurbished and it's version 5.0.1 BOG5, it can't be rooted and unlocked? Or can it? searching with no luck. All the guides don't say what version it is.

Thanks,
I updated my guide HERE: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...bilized-process-to-unlock-bootloader-t3375527 to say N910VVRU2BPA1 but I think, at this time, it will work with any version. HOWEVER, Future OTA updates may block this exploit.

Well after I bricked mine from a bad Rom install and no back up would work. I didn't want to mess with a phone that wasn't mine. I was to frustrated. Now I know it is possible and after getting sleep I'll probably do it this week.

Request (and grovel! ) to any Devs there..

Sup,
Was wondering if someone could please please compile an Android 6.01 rom for H or C that is just
deodexed,
de-knoxed,
debloated,
zip aligned,
rooted
But other wise kept as close to 6.01 for our models as possible.. I.e. no ports.
The closest to that at the moment is Hani's Hani rom but it has issues and I think he's got to much on to work on it.
I'm based over seas and unbelievably can't access a computer so would be so so greatfull.
Or if that's to much maybe someone could convert the official Note 4 N910H 6.01 firmware to an installable zip at least my phone would be stable again.
I've checked several times for months BUT if someone has already posted a rom like this then I apologize and please direct me.
Thankyou
C

SimplRom update is coming, so just wait for that.
First of all this should be in Q&A not development. Secondly if you link me the firmware you want I'll deodex root and deknox it for.
It's very easy to do and I can link you a kitchen for Windows that will do it for you if you don't have Linux

G935U

Hello, I've decided to post this after unsuccessfully finding any information about the g935u. Everything I find is about flashing the u firmware to other devices. I would like to start a gathering of people to share links, files, ideas about this phone and it's potential with "more stable rooting methods that don't use Eng and possible bootloader unlock" I haven't been active with xda since note 3 so please excuse my inability to search and post correctly. This phone would be so much better unlocked, maybe we could start a petition or a bounty? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm holding out hope for something better for our phones. Im still on PG9 with Aug 16th security patch 3.18.20-7856276-eng. I remember waiting over a year just for root for my sm-n900a when geohot came in and owned the phone within a few days of trying lol

I'm doing all kinds of searches, but nothing about rooting this model. There are some posts about this model in this thread though:

Yeah, that's the only rom so far and there won't be any until they're able to unlock the bootloader.

sorry.
You need to buy an unlock code. I have not seen a method for a free network unlock.
Maybe you have a region lock. I know a lot of phones from that area have such type of lock. Or it wasn't bought from the Philippines?
