Install CyanogenMod in lenovo A3500-HV - Lenovo A3500 Questions & Answers

I own a Lenovo A3500 -HV. I have been using it for an year now and it is running KitKat(4.4.2). There is no sign of a newer OS coming to this tab so I have decided to install a new ROM. I decided to go with CynanogenMod but the problem is my device is not listed in the supported devices directory.
I think my device has the minimum requirements to run the OS.
I would like to know if it will be better to install the CyanogenMod or just leave it with kitkat or maybe install some other mods that my tab can support?

ROM suggestion for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0

Greetings,
I have recently purchased my wife a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7" tablet (model SM-T230NU). We are pretty happy with the tablet however I would love to get rid of all the bloat that Samsung adds into the OS.
Years ago I installed a custom ROM on a ASUS tablet that not only upgraded the OS to a more recent Android release, but also was clean stock android install. I am interested in a recommendation for a stable
Android ROM for the Galaxy Tab where I am not loosing any functionality. The Galaxy Tab ships with Android version 4.4.2. I'd also be interested in going to Lollipop or Marshmallow if there is a stable version available.
Appreciate any recommendations!
Cheers,
Torbuck

Hi,
My Tab4 SM-T230NU is only booting up to the Tab4 screen and just hangs there.. I downloaded the Acheron rom and a few others as well to try to get this working again.. I have installed the latest Odin software and the USB drivers, but can't seem to figure out how to go about installing the Rom using this. I also tried the Kies software, and it tries to connect to it, but never does, so that's out.. I also can't get it to go to "recovery" mode using the pwr,vol up,Home buttons, but it does go into the "download" mode.. There's no way for me to turn on USB Debugging in the developer options, so can I still install this rom using Odin? Thanks for any assistance.

Lineage OS + MIUI Stock Apps?

I am a owner of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Pro (Prime) since July this year.
At the moment I am using stock ROM MIUI 8 and loving all the cool Apps.
My only problem is that the ROM is still on Android 6 Marshmallow.
Now I'm thinking about switching to Lineage OS cause I loved the ROM also on my OnePlus 2.
I want to know now, is it possible to install all MIUI 8 Stock Apps like:
File Manager
Scanner
Compass
Mi TV Remote
& Clock Application
If I could use all this Apps with Lineage OS I would probably Root my device and switch.
Hope some Users could help me with this.
Greetings kazumamon
Some will not work on Lineage os i think. But u can can find some of those on play store u need to search with Miui tag. If you want to try backup the apks with Android assistant and try on Los. I think it's worth a shot for you :highfive:

How did you manage to install the rom, do you have the files or download links necessary to perform the installation?
Hi, I recently installed oreo 8.1, kernel 4.4 on mine with pico gap, still have a lot of space on the device. I found it to be faster than with the 7.1.2.
Hi mcidclan
You said <quote> installed oreo 8.1, kernel 4.4 </quote>.
What ROM did you install?
So this thread is dead and I'm still looking for this custom Android 8.1 ROM...
Does anybody else have seen it?

Stable Custom Rom for Samsung Tab E

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all fine and safe. a friend of mine needs to install Zoom on Samsung Tab E (Android V 4.4.4) but it isn't available in play store and when I install an apk it opens but need to be updated to be able to join any meeting.
Does anyone know a stable custom rom for Samsung Tab E (based on Android version higher than 4 ) to be able to install Zoom ?
Thank you
Best Regards
There are different types of TAB E's.
If you have a T560, I can advise from personal experience:
Android 7.1.2 is available. Install the Dot OS rom in this link:
[Discontinued] PORT ROM 7.1.2[T-560]&[T-561] dotOS 1.2 V4 Galaxy Tab E
clarification this is a port rom, so it is likely that when you connect the device to the PC or via bluetooth it shows a different model, it is normal since it is a hybrid between the original rom and the port the rom it on beta state so please...

Zoom can be downloaded from the playstore if you installed gapps.
Zoom works with this rom.

I have a T561 too. What is the most stable version you recommend over kitkat? Can I have the T560NU Android Go version? Will it work with T561?
