[Q] TWRP User Data Wont restore

Hi,
I have TWRP backup from which i can easily restore System and Boot but Data fails to restore.
I have tried Titanium Backup, nandroid manager as well, still nothing. I am on twrp 2.6.3.3 recovery and it says failed, doesnt show any error on the terminal.
I made the backup using 2.6.3.0 multiboot recovery.
Please help, i have some very important apps and data on there :crying:

TWRP backup issue on S7 Edge ""failed to mount data" and "failed to recreate folder"

TWRP backup issue on S7 Edge ""failed to mount data" and "failed to recreate folder"
Using twrp recovery 3.0.2-2 (latest) and trying to do an image backup, the message just says: "failed to mount data" "failed to recreate folder" . Additionally, it shows 0 MB internal storage.
I tried to backup to an external USB and at the end of the process this message comes up "Failed to create backup. Clearing up folder".. but It backups SYSTEM partition but nothing else (no EFS, no BOOT).
Does anyone experience the same issue at the time of backups with TWRP?
SOLUTION: TWRP need to wipe the data partition in order to allow backup creation as far as I understood.
find more regarding procedure at official TWRP thread

Click to collapse
,,,You have to backup EFS once (via non-buggy twrp) and keep it stored on mobile and PC
... For ROMs..You just BACKUP system data boot
And restore them
... when shifting () different builds marshmallow to nougat... nougat 7.0 to 7.1 or whatever.. you need to INSTALL (not backup or restore) the CORRESPONDING vendor
That's it

Bootloop after restoring backup in TWRP

I'm getting enablefilecrypto_failed error after restoring nand backup in TWRP. Is there any solution? I know I can format data and install any ROM but I need some data from that backup.
How can I at least restore some data like sms, contacts from this backup? It seem Titanium Backup PRO cannot extract anything from it. I can't extract it with 7zip either (I read it somewhere it's probably TWRP's method of packing - f2fs.win000/win001/etc files, with matching sha2 files). Does it mean TWRP incorrectly encrypted this backup or is it incorrectly decrypting while restoring? I didn't get any error while backing up nor restoring (besides above, but that's after not while)
I'm also not sure if I had Magisk in this backup or not (maybe incorrectly uninstalled, which I tried to do apparently and lost device certification after and couldn't use gpay before said bootloop)
Failing to update Magisk was the reason that forced me to restore nandroid backup in the first place. But I'm getting above error even if I try to restore it from MIUI or any other lineageos.
you have backup, so copy it to PC, format data, install ROM and restore backup
My first sentence: "I'm getting enablefilecrypto_failed error after restoring nand backup in TWRP"
Solved it by uninstalling Magisk after restoring backup, even before first reboot
