When replacing the LCD , havent you checked if touch is working or not?
What sort of touch issue are you having? Phantom touches ? Or some portion of the screen doesnt register touches?

It could be faulty touch panel. Contact the provider or if you want to replace it, it costs 10 bucks on amazon. ( Just search by lg g2 touch panel) . Your LCD is fine.

The shopkeeper gave you a LCD with a faulty touchscreen. Always check if everything is working before you pay them.
But sometimes it might be software issue. I suggest you to try one thing, that is if you can flash a new rom, go ahead and do it, then see if the touchscreen problem still persists. If yes, then you have to replace it and get a new one.
Note that : the touchscreen panel stays on top and lcd on bottom, you replaced the whole thing that comes with the panel and lcd so theres no chance shopkeeper changed it, to remove the touch panel, you have to completely destroy it by applying heat and then slowly remove it.
Heres a video to clear it up on how to remove the touch panel : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTKV0RRv2IU

Touch screen problem ?

Hello, I bought a second hand prophet. But I have a problem with the screen : the screen does not respond exactly where I put the pen. For exemple, on the keyboard, if I put the pen on the "E" key, it is the "D" wich is pressed ...
This only happen in the middle of the screen. No problems on the top or the bottom of it.
Of course I tried to re-calibrate the screen many times but it does not solve the problem.
Does anyone know where does this problem come from ?
Thanks a lot !
hello
do the screen alignement , it helped for me
grtzzz
you can find this in settings___system ___ screen and choose align
Like I said, I already did the re-alignement. But it didn't solve my problem.

Well it is very likely that your touchscreen is damaged but not your LCD. There is actually 2 portions to the screen which most ppl assume there was only one(well I did initially until finding out later when my screen broke and got it replaced). Anyway, if you've tried re-calibrating it and doesn't work..maybe your screen protector (if you do use one) maybe be at fault? Other than that, worse case scenario, it is your touchscreen that is physically damaged. FYI it is not really expensive to replace compared to the LCD part.
Speak to njbridges if you need to get it replaced.

I already upgraded the ROM to latest french version ... It didn't help in that.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your answers !
I had the same problem. Unfortunately it was a problem with the touch screen which was fixed under warranty.

try to change ur screen protector, or just remove and re-put it on again

Hello.
I tried to do that, because I had problems to align screen.
I changed the touchscreen with another from a broken LCD. But now all I can get is a white screen, then a sound (like the starting sound when you make a hard reset or remove batery) and after black screen again.
What can I do to bring it back.
I've noticed that the touchscreen had some white glue where is the connection with the LCD. Do I need to replace that glue, maybe is a special glue with small voltage conductibility ? Or ? Help!
Anyone changed the touchscreen ?
PS: I think I will start a new post, maybe I will get some answers!
i haved thar problem... like you.... i just bought an ney TOUCH SCREEN new... and it was solved.... ATENTION only the touchscreen... not the lcd!

When you say cut it means that a part of the conectors still remain on the touchscreen (under the touchscreen). Or no conectors at all on the touchscreen and that means you removed the connectors (pulled out).
Do you know if I have any chance to take another touchscreen from a defect device and work ?

Touch screen doesn't function

I need your advice...
My Touch Screen doesn't function, I cannot dial out, Faulty LCD or Touch Screen (or both), While I click on the screen it doesn’t respond or it has a shift, I click on the top of the screen and it actual click on the middle of the screen.
I have no problem with the display - it display everything and correctly with full color.
What I think is that I have a problem with my touch screen.
Did anyone had a problem with the touch screen and replace it?
What is strange, when I hrad reset the device, on screen alignment process I have no problem to click on the cross, but it takes the device up to 3-4 times to aligen the device.
I want to order the touch screen part and replace it, I don't have warranty.
Do I need to replace the LCD as well or just the touch screen? Either way it will be cheaper to buy them both then to send it to repair.

Some help trying to fix a Motorola Defy?

Hello, I have a Motorola Defy, that I dropped a few times, so the LCD screen got damaged with blue dots on it, I made a mistake and thought that the problem was on the touch Screen, so I purchased a replacement, installed but, it was damaged, the touch did not respond correctly, I wasn't able to type correctly among other problems.
I got a refund, then ordered a LCD screen replacement, now that I have it here, I install it, and it's broken:crying: I know, bad luck and being a rookie while trying to fix my phone, ok, I put back my old (damaged) LCD screen to use it in the meantime, and the old touch screen, but now, the old touch screen that was supposed to being working fine, it doesn't, it has the same problem as the touch screen that I bought.
Question is: the problem with the touch screen, could be related to the damaged LCD screen? or the motherboard of the phone is damaged? the phone works great, the apps, the games, everything but the touch screen and the LCD screen, but, as I said, I went back to the default touch screen after using the damaged one that I received, and it works worse I don't know what's wrong, please help me out, sorry for the long post
Please post questions in the Q&A section. Moved there.

Is this true?
true. fix some minor dead pixel if you put in freezer for one day. but your case... im dont hope much.
Try changing LCD + Capacitive Digitizer. (after trying the freezer trick ofcourse)
Well i will tell my story, which is related to your's as well,
i had a phone with resistive touch screen and it got screwed up, that is it does not respond correctly. So, i took it to the service center and they replaced the digitizer (touch screen) saying that previous one is broken. But, luckily the new one didn't responded to any touches they make. So, they replaced it again with the old one quoting that "your phone can't be repaired". So, i took it home with me.
Later i thought to calibrate the screen but the old one is not responding any more, no matter where i press
Later i calibrate it with the help of a software for windows mobile with the help of a PC. It took me to the calibration screen, from where i calibrated it, and voila, it worked... as good as a new one :victory:
long story short,
i think when you disconnected your digitizer, phones default values/drivers got messed up and are unable to find the new or the old digitizer you connect. I suggest you to go to the service center as these screens can not be calibrated.
Is there NO WAY at all to recalibrate the screen from the phone itself? or using an application? the delicalibration might be the problem....I'd like to fix it myself :/ thanks for the tip, never heard about it before!!

I replaced my original digitizer screen for the one I ordered it, it gave me problems, so I went back to the original one, which was working fine, and now it's not fully responding, that's why I'm assuming is something calibration related, thanks!

Touchscreen doesn't work on 1cm band

Hi,
My N4 fell today, and unfortunatly, since then, there is a 1cm high band, which takes all the screen on horizontal, that doesn't react to any touch. There is only this band that is "dead", all the screen is working. I flashed the rom again, just to be sure it was not a software problem, but it didn't change anything.
So, is there any way to fix it ? DO I have to buy a new LCD screen ? Is it a problem with the motherboard ?
Thanks for your help

Very common problem. Unfortunately its not software, Its hardware problem,
Your phone's digitizer is not working. You need to replace the screen. Costs around US 90-100$
Sadly, that's what I thought it was... So I'm going to buy the One Plus One... Thanks for your answer

LG G2: Screen Flickering

[HELP] LG G2 screen flickering
Hi everyone,
As the title said, i have been suffering for more than 4 days from Screen Flickering, i tried every possible solution in XDA but still out of luck, the issue happens with stock (rooted and none-rooted) ROM, AOSP, CM Roms, in recovery, download mode, even while flashing new Rom, my phone is out of warranty and i am afraid that this is not a Hardware fault as some people mentioned before, so a screen replacement may not be the right solution.
Any help would be appreciated.
Please anyone can help!

Well it depends, it probably is a hardware issue but I don't know if you've accidently changed some settings under devloper options. There are some settings in there that cause the screen to flash. If you can boot up and check the settings, read through them and see if you have accidentally clicked any of them.

You could try changing the flex cable, its a cheaper part. (20$-30$)

Bro, this issue is happening to me even on a fresh stock Rom (4.4.2 and 5.0.2), even on recovery or while flashing a new Rom the screen keep flickering, so i's absolutely not software related.

Alright well I asked earlier exactly when it was happening and you didnt answer so I was just guessing, but if you know it's hardware try the cable replacement
Mine got that problem too. I had to put some pretty thick (about 1mm) double-sided tape between both 2 display (I guess) connectors and plastic screwed shield.
It's my third day without flickering screen since the fix.
I hope it'll help
