[Q] Vibration of non vibrating notifications - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi All
I am facing an irritating problem with my Galaxy S7 Edge.
I've configured whatsapp to vibrate message notifications from contacts only and no vibration from groups.
When I change the device mod to vibrate only, all notifications have vibration (whatsapp group messages for example)
and this is not only with whatsapp, I am facing the same problem with almost all the apps I am using, and this was not the case in my previous phone Xperia Z2 on MM and running the same apps.
Now, I can not distinguish whether I've got an important notification to check (from vibration) or low priority notification to keep for later (no vibration), I just keep checking every time the mobile vibrates and it is annoying
I would appreciate it if some one can help on fixing this problem.

New Note3: annoyed by vibration behavior. Help?

Just got a brand new Note3. Loving it save for the way it handles notifications with vibration mode.
It seems to default to the long "Basic Call" vibrate tone no matter what I configure in the settings. I find this tone to be quite harsh if I'm lying in bed, for example, and get a message. This is true for both SMS and gmail, so far. Further, I tried disabling vibrate notifications in some apps and they persist regardless and always with the same long vibrate tone.
Is this a known issue that others are experiencing? If not, do you have any ideas how I can properly configure vibrate mode to work properly?
Thanks.

[Q] Incoming Call - No vibration

Ok this is a really odd problem that I am having with my galaxy S4, running 4.4.2 NO custom roms/root or anything like that.
So whenever I get a phone call (this just started happening a few weeks ago) and I'm on the 'vibrate' profile, the phone will get the incoming call with the person's face on the screen showing me that the call is coming in, like normal. However, the phone does not vibrate at all, in fact, I see the silent logo on the top notification bar (even though the phone was on vibrate) and once I answer the call, the silent symbol is replaced by the vibrate one. This is only occurring with phone calls, not texts or other app notifications. So to recap: phone will not vibrate for incoming calls even though it is set to do so. Anybody have any idea of what is going on?!
Thanks.

No notification for Whatsapp Call

Has anybody found a solution to Whatsapp calls not showing up on the watch when someone calls you, no vibration and no notification, and no missed call when you miss it either!!! I think it must be the way Whatsapp is using the notification as an "ongoing" notification, as it definitely shows up on the phone in the notification area. It's driving me bonkers because everyone I know is using Whatsapp Calling to phone me these days, and I'm missing all the Calls.
N.B. The other annoying thing about Whatsapp and Wear, is that when you dismiss the Whatsapp mnessage on the watch, it dismisses the notification at the top, but the message still remains "UNREAD" in Whatsapp.
same problem on my watch

No messaging notification while ringer on vibrate

Hello,
I had an old S3 and got the S7 edge. I know the s3 I was able to put ringer on vibrate and was able to put messages or other notifications on vibrate alsoindividually.. Is the S7 unable to do separate ringer or vibrate notifications for phone ringer . It won't even give me blue light notification for texts . Am I expecting too much for the s7 or do I need direction?
Thanks

Sound & Vibration

I own a Blade A5 2019 and recently, in spite of having notifications turned on, I can't get any sound, only vibration, when receiving WhatsApp messages or sms's. I checked the phone settings and I see that Do not disturb is off so what can I do? Sound slider is all the way up.
Solved it. In the Volumes section of Audio Profiles, Notifications was turned all the way down.
