AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP ?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Stuck in bootloop
Rom taking ages to boot! I left the phone(lava pixel V1) for at least 1 HR!!!LMAO to boot. Still not?
Before flashing the rom and gapps, I did a FULL swipe, and after flashing, I wiped dalvik/cache.
Hopefully I had a backup in external micro SD card ?
Plz fix this

Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

How to flash:
[/U][/B]ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy Nougat. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, Gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
Requirements:
Custom recovery (either TWRP or CyanogenMod)
Clean flash if coming from another ROM (no dirty flash)[/COLOR]
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes.

This is dynamic nav bar.
Can be found in Settings->Navigation->Dynamic navbar Color. You can disable it, If you don't want to change nav color depends on the current app.

How about encryption?
Stock ROM (MIUI 9) is encrypted by default with File Based Encryption. That's why TWRP asking password in the first time. Without FBE I'll called this "a public phone".

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

this rom is full of bugs . dont install . i tried pixel experience unofficial rom too but neither . for example this rom fails to install some apks that are actually for my architecture arm v7a
and overheats so many times ,, stucks lag . hangs . some times accidentaly restarts itself . i dont know but i thank you harsh for you to devoting your time to make us experience pie on our old phone . i used this rom for 2 months and now im going to rollback stock

We’re really excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz 5 Dev, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those who are unfamiliar, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhances the overall user experience. This time around he have his wallpaper app Abstruct, were you will be able to find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers alongside a huge amount of amazing wallpapers.
