Can we port roms between phones with same processor but by different manufacturer.???
I have Xaiomi Mi4 and Galaxy S5 and both models have same Snapdragon 801 processor. So will I be able to port Touchwiz rom to Mi4 and also MiUi rom to S5..???
Can any developer help me here.
Yes but it's a really difficult because of differences in all phones (I mean software one obv)

would you recommend the Snapdragon or the Exynos Variant?
It seems to me that Note 5 Features/Framework is only ported to the Exynos Variant.? Will it be ported to the SD Variant too?
I do know though that CM and AOSP Roms work better on the SD Note.
I don't care about Raw Power but only about the better Support for Custom Roms/ Note 5 Ports.

Why porting TouchWiz? Better port stock, also to make a port you need to have similar specs. And the A5 does not have the same specs as a A60XX
