Does GEL XPOSED work on 6.0.1? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Currently on 6.0.1 pure nexus, wondering if xposed works. I tried using GEL settings which seems to be working without actually updating my settings on now launcher. (I have root and twrp latest version)

I can confirm the first question, yes Xposed works on PN. I have 7 modules that are working without issue. Do you have the correct version (SDK22 - framework version 84) installed and did you flash the zip file and install the XposedInstaller app? Both are required. Can't offer any specific advice on GEL as I don't use it or the Google Now launcher.

Yes, except the correct file for me to flash would be 23 version 85, although I tried flashing the file you suggested and twrp would not allow me to flash it because 22 is for lollipop, I'm on marshmallow 6.0.1 so or would be an arm64 23 file. Also, when xposed is installed, it will soft reboot but not hard reboot, telling me to hard reboot manually. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, my mistake. Mind said 23 fingers typed 22. Maybe try version 84 as that is what is running (and working) on my phone (PN 5/6/16). I also get the soft reboot issue, I just do a manual hard reboot.

Have you updatet the Google Apk, GEL is not working on the newest, the dev must upadate his app for the new version before its working again.

I believe this is why, is there any previous compatible apk anywhere? Or should I just learn to be patient.

you can download a previous version from apk mirror

[Q] BusyBox for Android 4.3

Hi Guys,
What app are you using to install BusyBox if you flashed the full 4.3 from Google's site.
I've tried two apps that don't seem to do it properly so before I do it again wondering what everyone else is using.
Thanks.
Anyone ?
I used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.busybox.installer
Worked great for me...

Sorry let me clarify that properly, it said it installed it properly but other applications said otherwise (ones that depended on a BusyBox install)
Update superSU to the latest 1.43, check some 4.3 rom threads for a link to the flashable zip.
then try again.

Updated, anyway - I used this installer :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitcubate.root.busybox.complete&hl=en
And it worked fine. The other two say they install but don't properly.

[Q] Xposed

As we don't have a proper custom recovery yet, I was thinking of flashing xposed through FlashFire from Chainfire, I have tried it with my N5 and it worked.
I'm willing to buy this phone, but can't really live without xposed, so if anyone want to give a try. I think it should work like in mine N5
Edit: I take no responsibilities if something goes wrong and you end up into a bootloop

I flashed Xposed to my Play using the Moto G's version of TWRP. No problems to report so far.

Which Xposed version did you use? Link?
Thanks in advance!
I used version 72, arm, SDK 22. Looks like they're up to 74 now so I'll be updating momentarily. Here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58828974
Just wanted to update this thread.
I can confirm that version 74 listed above works fine.
Further I used one of the Xposed modules to unlink all the volumes so they are all separate. One of my biggest pet peeves.
That also works perfectly.
I can confirm that latest xposed v75 SDK 22 arm, from the above thread is working.

So what is the version for lux then? As th eonly link in a thread posted yesterday just takes you back to the main twrp link previously mentioned. Currently v78. Is that one safe?

This is the proper TWRP version for Moto X Play. You flash 2.8.7.0 first, then update to 2.8.7 v2 from within 2.8.7.0 and reboot to recovery.

Running jrkruse bpb1 - Is there an Xposed version that works with this?

I came from BOG prior to this, and if I recall I had an xposed version that was working, but the last one I tried with BPB1 caused my phone to loop, so I have gone without it for the last few months.
Anyone aware of an Xposed version that works?

I have the xxposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk and tried the xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430-arter97-V3.zip I just don't know which is the correct one. I recall trying all the different versions and kept getting the stuck verizon screen.

You need to clear caches after flashing, and it works much better with a custom recovery than with flashfire. There's also a version 85 floating around in that thread. But regardless, both have worked for me, sorry.
Yea I use SafeStrap, so I'm basically using TWRP. I might give it another go.
SDK 21 xposed zip is the right zip
xposed installer alpha 4.0 is correct for your phone
Official firmware doesn't play nice with xposed try
to find more unofficial xposed framework zip and try them
and you can also use flashfire apk avaliable from Google play store to flash zip and tar and md5 files

Xposed for Oreo released

Thanks I did that, rebooted and the app is working till I decide to search a module.
When I go at downloading option, I get a FC of Xposed, so no installation is possible.

Installed xposed and Amplify, but none is under Superuser tab in Magisk.
Does this mean that they don't have root rights?

you should be able to see the modules within xposed itself.
magisk will show you SDK26 and whatever other magisk modules you use.
Waiting for gravitybox
When I flash and enable xposed on any of the custom 8.1 ROMs, the flash/flashlight stops working on my 3T. Can anyone confirm if they are getting similar results?
Thanks.
