Hello, Even I am facing this problem on my Xperia C4 Dual. Have you got any resolution from the service centre ?

I have this problem too. It seems the touchscreens are just not good quality and sit too close to the outer screen and register a lot of false touches. It is abhardware, not software problem. You can only send it for repair/replacement.

Son service center at Hyderabad replaced by defective Xperia C4 with brand new Xperia Z5 dual.

How did u get it replaced and how much extra did u pay?

I paid nothing

U r very lucky 40k phone in exchange of 20k phone how did this happen. I also want to replace my c4 which is with service center for same problem i am ready to pay diff. How do i convince them.

[Q] Dead Pixel

I Bought My Arc On 11/04/2011
I Use It For 3 Days, And Later I Spotted The LCD Has a Dead Pixel (Nothing Before)
I Returned It To SE Service Centre Today, and THX Goodness ... I've Got My Arc Replaced With a Brand New One.
Do You Experience Any Factory Defect On Your Arc? Or Probably Just Me Wich Unlucky One
Glad that you got it replaced
I have not find any factory defect on my ARC yet & hopefully never
I've had mine replaced after some serious crashing. If I stressed the Arc, it would crash very fast. But also while using for daily browsing it has crashed for several times.
Also I must say the screen is very easily scratchable... I'll be more careful with my new Arc.

Easily scratchable? I don't think so. If you had it with a pocket pull of keys or coins the display shield might get scratches, but the glass will not.
Does the arc already come with a screen protector?
Ive got a scratch already on the display but if thats on just the protector then im happy how would i go about replacing it?

I think they all do, but if you have an extra one in the box then there is one already one on the screen.
I had a constant dot on the camera it seemed like something got stuck on the actual lense. Got it replaced straight away and no issues at all with replacement.
bought mine a few days ago and found two 'hot' pixels the first day.. one clear blue and one white. going to return it tomorrow, hopefully I'll get a clean new one.
On my first Arc there was a line of blue pixels from top to bottom the screen... went back the next day and got a new one...
No replacement, got ~55EUR back as compensation.

Well go back to the store and show them the dead pixels.

So if you have any dead pixels, you can get it fixed for free?
I have 2 dead pixels on my 2 month old Xperia Neo, but I can only see them if I view a black background.
Those are called "stuck", not "dead" pixels, no? I have one for quite some time now and my arc is a bit more than a month old. But as stated before, I can see it only on dark/black background.

does z2 has touch problems?

im now on z1... and i have that problem when touch screen takes life of its on and starts to go around -.-
same thing is on z1s and z2 tablet...
how about z2 the phone?
so far so good?
Any liquid on screen creates this problem for me with th Z2. It does not matter if its moister, sweat or rain drops they make the screen cray cray only way out is to wipe the screen.
Not only..when i chat more than 20 minutes some of my finger touches are not recognized and i must to touch the screen with my other hand to rec.it.. its strange.. .314.. hope Sony will fix it. (hope its not something with the metal frame and sensor confusion).

This is true of every capacitive touch screen I have ever used.

I owned Z2 and Z2 Tab. If you leave so munch oil or finger-print on your screen it will cause touch problem, wipe out and everything is fine.
You may try tempered glass or mate screen protector to reduce this problem.
This is exactly why I never wanted to give up my slide out keyboard phone. I wish more people were like me, I kept holding out for someone to make a respectable keyboard phone but I guess there's no market. I am not a fan of using the touch screen for entering text and numbers. Today was a prime example, my morning was rushed and I am fumbling to try an enter a new hires phone number. So frustrating, I swear it was the 15th try that I finally got it! Here I am fumbling with a phone while trying to direct workers to their tasks and deal with production and management at the same time.

still holding ontu my n900 and n950... my z1 died and got new under warranty... wanna sell it and go for z2 if it doesnt have touch problems like z1...
rocking n950 for now...
yes it does
thats my z2 has ghost touch i dunno what to do to fix it yet
old firmwares seem to bring up alot of ghost touches
i had very little on 314 firmware
also on my older units, i had them regardless of the firmware
I remember back when I had .55 the screen sensitivity was pretty bad, especially during phone calls when it suddenly turns on when it shouldn't, also double tap to wake wasn't as responsive. After upgrading to .314 it seemed to fix those problems
I had this problem with my Z2, too.
Then, after an unlucky drop, my screen was broken, so I got the screen repaired. After approx. a week my screen got more and more its own life. At the end the phone was totally unuseable. The repair shop replaced the screen again, since then it just apperars from time to time like before.
I think Sony has some issues with these screens. My S2 which I had before the Sony had never such issues, even if the screen was quite dirty. Maybe thats why they introduced the Z3 so fast?
Here you can see the "amok screen". I enabled "Show touch" in the developer options.

Really strange, since I have never had that problem with my unit,
by the way, just for curiosity, how much have you paid for repair and where have you done it?

Paid for repair 225€ at a shop in Berlin. No official repair shop, in this case it would have been about 350€. However, it is no longer waterproof.
But they replaced the defective (ghost operated) screen without any questions at no cost.

Kinda too much, but then again Sony in Serbia replaced my back cover for 50e, but when I come to think about it, it's probably because the average salary here is around 300e

Touch screen Z3C

Just diagnosed a strange issue. After installing the touch screen protector I've noticed strange behavior of my phone. It seemed very unresponsive and I decided to ingage the glove mod. But the issue was still there . Tried to take off the screen protector, still the same s**. Then started the diagnosis and here it is??? How is that possible that screen protector do something like that?

My phone intermittently has the same issue, but horizontally in the middle of the screen.
Sometimes it works great and sometimes the touch just kind of lives its own life in that non-responsive area and makes touches all by itself.
I've made a video showing some of it when dragging lines like yours in an app called YAAMT. I could link to it later if there's any demand.
Right now my phone is in the repair shop for said issue. Not sure what they'll say, though, since it's an intermittent thing and they need to see it before they can confirm it...even though I've got the video. And sometimes the phone works great for days before the problem comes again.
To be clear, the screen protector did not cause this. Mine was like this out of the box.
I'll try to change my for new one. Now I tried to give you thx and had to touch it 3 times to make it work.

Just in case anyone, like I did, searches for YAAMT and doesn't find it, it's actually YAMTT (Yet Another Multi Touch Test)

Same issue here but at one side i dont know what triggered it but it surely reduced when i removed the screen protector
I was thinking that it started maybe with the update so on the new one I'm still on the older build.
Could it be the cause?

Not so for me. I had it on the old build as well.
The repair shop exchanged the display and digitizer as well as the back glass on warranty. They also gave me complimentary screen protectors for both the front and the back since I had to wait two weeks for the repairs. It came back factory reset with the latest software update.
I've installed the protectors, and my phone is a totally different beast now. Incredibly responsive with all touches now. No more missed swipes, no more trouble typing and no more of the screen living it's own life.
In other words, in my book, this is clearly a hardware issue.

Well i˙m waiting for the tempered glass from the ebay and still on the older build . Don˙t know should i upgrade or not, don˙t like to change something that is so damn good . This phone is really as i expected that it will be, lightening fast and responsive, so happy with it don˙t see anything that i don˙t like .

Xperia Z2 ghost touch repair

Hi!
May I ask if sending my Xperia Z2 for touchscreen replacement is still worth it? I haven't been using it for almost 2 years since the screen can't detect any touch. It started with ghost touches then it just does not return to normal. That's why I switched phones. Today, I charged it then still no response to the screen.
I was thinking of sending it for repair but I don't know if it's worth the cost. I hope you can help me.
Thank you in advance! Cheers!
