Marshmallow and AT&T-resolved - Onetouch Idol 3 General

Below is a quote from another forum:
"If you do the marshmallow update on the Idiot 3, and you have AT&T, you will lose any data connectivity through AT&T. You can use WIFI, and make calls, just no internet on AT&T. They admitted they caused a problem with the update, when I called in to support, but their only potential solution is to do a complete factory reset. That's their solution to any software problem they caused. Been dealing with this since last August. No more."
Is anyone here having this problem? I have not upgraded yet - waiting to see what problems people are having if any.
I know I posted this in the main marshmallow thread but it kinda got lost in there.

Update:
Turns out the same person I quoted above posted on yet another forum that it was the APN settings and resolved the problem.

Edit your title thread and add [RESOLVED]
Thanks

Alltel PPC MMS not working?

Hi,
After using SPL-Unlocker and Flashing radio 3.27 my picture messaging stopped working. I called Alltel Data customer service, and they insisted on trying everything I had already tried.(THANKS TO THE MOST TITS FORUM EVER, XDA.) They were unable to assist me after 75 soft resets and 35 failed message attempts. They then informed me that they had no record of any issue similar to this and that it would be forwarded to their network engineers. I'm not entirely sure but I think he said it would cost me $40 for this. Anyway, I just thought I would share this. I imagine that I'll find the answer online or just make them give me a new phone. They have two days before I demand a new phone. This will make Titan 3 if that happens.

Which unlocker did you use? Did you also flash a ROM that is compatible with Radio 3.27? Does the ROM even have MMS software in it?
And I believe that you will not find it easy to get Alltel to replace your device unless you flash back to the OEM ROM, radio and bootloader...of course that may fix your problem!
The Fix

You can read all of the stuff if you want - but I just downloaded and installed the cab file for Arcsoft - and bingo - everything began working once again. I'm pretty confident its the problem you're complaining of.
I didn't bother reviewing and/or trying any of the other "suggested" fixes that precede the file download.
PS: You mention tits, yet I have never seen a pair of tits on this forum ever yet

Thanks for the link skny. I couldnt get the cab to install but I used the second solution and changed my server address and it works fine now.
P.S. I'm not sure of the rule on posting tits, but it could only improve this great site, if used in moderation.
OK this is very odd.. After I upgraded to the 2.2.6 ROM and Radio 3.27 I installed the cab but did not do any of the server fixes. I was able to successfully receive pictures but when I would send a picture, it would say it sent but the other person never received it. After I applied the server fixes I'm having the same problem.. I can receive pictures but the ones I sent never arrive at their destinations. Any suggestions?

[Q] Samsung Epic on Boost Mobile MMS problems

First of all I am brand new here so I apologize for any ignorance I may have here! I tried searching the forums for an answer to this so if this was already addressed I apologize. I have an Epic that was recently flashed to boost and having issues with sending and receiving mms messages. It always says that it failed. I went in and changed the url to mm.myboostmobile.com and changed the proxys to 0 or 0's and it still isn't working. This is occurring on both of my epics. I know it can be done because there are corner stores by me that have it functioning perfectly. The reason I changed the proxys to 0's is because that is what I did for my Samsung Transforms and it worked great (until I allowed the system update). Does anyone have any suggestions?
Best bet would be to go to the development forums and find the thread there and PM someone who has it working.
have you figured it out I have the same problem
I suggest going to the thread called Epic on boost, MMS working.. and read it.. it tells you exactly how to make it work. Its in development. May I also suggest searching?
I am going through the exact same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im glad im not the only one I was able to recieve and send jsut fine but now I can only recieve only on wifi or 4g, im on boost running 2.2 ec05 stock rooted, you might be sprint but I know all my proxy information is put in correctly because it was working before,I cannot send out and also my prl does not update and prl I was thinking about odin'ning down to 2.1 to see if that fixes my issue, while on 3g I just get download unsuccessful and when trying to send message just sits there and then after 20 min red x in handcent, I still have stock messaging

T-Mobile Rollcall

Hey everyone! As the title states, this is a thread for T-mobile users. Lately with T-Mo upgrading their towers to 4G I've been coming into a few issues. The gist of it is that I randomly can't make or receive calls on my Nexus 4, and after some research online I discovered that I'm not the only one with this problem (This is especially true with Lollipop users). I tried the 4G hack with multiple radios, after resetting my APN settings I can make and get calls for about 2 minutes, and after that my problem comes back as if I never did anything at all. I've noticed that I can get it to work after resetting the APN to default, but I can't be expected to do that every 5 minutes throughout the day, its simply unacceptable. What's worse is that I recently got into a contract with T-Mo after being prepaid for the last year and a half.
So my question to all the T-Mo users here is what ROM are you using? Which radios do you use (if you've had to)? Are you using 5.x.x or 4.x.x? Have you had encountered this problem at all, and if so how did you remedy it?
Update: I fixing my problems by flashing a 5.1.x ROM. Although I nearly bricked the phone because the gapps provided weren't written properly which caused the setup wizard to crash.

SM-G955FD on Verizon (I don't care about CDMA)

I'm making a broad post as a last resort on this, the only two thread on it I found were dead ends.
I've exhaustively searched and trialed different roms/firmware/CSC to get my already activated verizon sim working on my SM-G955FD.
I already know Exynos has no CDMA, neither did the HTC U11 that I had for a short while, and that didn't cause me any issues with outgoing calls. the VOLTE seems to be doing a fine job.
I PM'd two people on xda who said they were using it stock with no problem, but haven't gotten any replies on what steps they took. I can't even get data working regardless of APN or CSC. It simply refuses to connect to the network. I also hate what verizon did to the settings menu on this phone. If I didn't have the GFUDP, I would have moved on a while ago, but I use too much data.
Of course I know I can get the verizon snapdragon model, but I need root. I simply cannot function without titanium and the fact that android, to this day, has no official perfect backup really grinds my gears.
If anyone else has had success with this, please point me in the right direction. tia

Sprint S8 no network after Pie update

Hoping to find some assistance on here since the Samsung forums aren't much help.
A few people out here who (from what I gather) have the SM-G950U are experiencing issues with mobile data after the Pie update.
Personally I will see spotty LTE connection. If i put the phone in CDMA only mode i can get relatively stable 3g.
Tried wiping cache, resetting APN, soft reset, hard reset...
Since its the locked down bootloader version there aren't many good rom options out there that I have been able to find.
There are similar discussions over on Reddit and the Samsung forum, but I don't have link privileges yet so you will need to google if you want to see them.
Any help would be appreciated

Yes, I had the same issue, I had to call Sprint using a different phone and they reset something over on their end and my phone went through some reconfiguration process and it worked after that. They were aware of the problem and had already notified Samsung of the issue. So just call Sprint (*2 from a Sprint phone) and you'll be back in business again.
i tried talking to sprint over the phone, they had me do some ## codes to re-register the device with the network. That helped nothing really. They then said i would have to take it in to a store with a support desk.
I spoke with Samsung and they offered for me to send the device in. I created a ticket and i can ship them the phone, and they will repair it and ship it back. But that will take almost 2 weeks. (2 business days shipping, 5-7 business days for the repair and another 2 business days to get it back)
So i will go to the sprint store today and then if that gets me nowhere I will think about sending it in to Samsung.
I had the same issue with my S8+. They ended up flashing the phone which wiped everything and my sd card was encrypted which they didnt decrypt. Anyways data and everything back.
