[SOLVED] sound problems - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

now i've had my s7e for about 3 days and i've found another problem, this time far more annoying than the camera issue
whenever i play something that has audio and then pause it, a beep tone accompanied by static plays for about 5 seconds after pausing
it plays through headphones, the phone's speaker and even my pc speakers with the screen being cast to my computer and it sounds like this (amplified a lot): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_um5z60hM5zR0hBajhoNUNpeHc/view?usp=drivesdk
i have an equalizer installed, but turning that off changes nothing
it happens in poweramp, samsung's stock music player, youtube, basically literally every app that plays sound
rebooting fixes nothing
all the sound options like the uhq upscaler and everything else are off, the built in equalizer is on normal, turning off adapt sound doesn't do anything
the beeps seem to vary in pitch at random
edit: turns out, the EQ app i was using was causing this strange tone. welp

DHD really weird sound glitch

Right, I was listening to music out of the speaker through my DHD using Dolby mode. I received a phone call, the music paused and the phone rang, I answered it. After the call, the music continued to play but in this really glitchy way and I recorded it using my gaming headphones from my computer.

What you can hear is the music playing, then I pause it and I change the mode to standard or SRS. If you hear the music playing normally it isn't on Dolby, if it is glitchy it is on Dolby. The problem continues and I'm going to restart the phone now to see if it fixes it.
EDIT:
Restarted the phone, it's fine now. I guess this problem can be re-produced if you receive a call while listening to music in Dolby mode.

Music on headset stopping

Hi, I have a problem when listening to music:
An incoming notification used to stop my music when a notification arrived. Now, I downloaded a music player with more options - I disabled the options which stopped music after headset was unplugged. It helped a little:
Now, when I listen to music and a notification comes, the music plays loud from the speaker for about a second or two, then going back to headset.
Happened on ICS, so I jumped back on GB. Same effect.
Also, I found out notification sounds are played always through the phone, not the headset.
EDIT: Found out this one is normal.
Try PowerAMP. Pauses at unplug, starts again at plug. If you get a notification, music stops playing a few seconds, speaker plays the notif. sound, and the music continues on headset.
PowerAMP
Poweramp is what I meant by "Now, I downloaded a music player with more options" ...
Thats the player which disables pause-on-headset-unplug, but it makes the problem I described (the second one) ...

Possible to completely silence the back speaker when headphones are connected?

HI, I don't want any notifications or ringtones to play through the back speaker of my S4 when the headphones are plugged in. I want to ONLY hear those sounds in my headphones. Completely muting the phone doesn't work because then obviously I wouldn't hear anything in the headphones either.
So, is it possible to do this on the GT-i9505 ?
My old Samsung Galaxy Spica did this and I really miss that "feature".
That's weird yours plays thru the rear speaker mine plays everything thru the headphones when connected
HA! this is a hugeass issue on every android I've owned. im assuming you're using poweramp or something right? the stock player pauses the song to play it thru the headphones which is probably why that dude up ^^ doesn't get that.
anyways some kernels fix this, namely Boeffla Sound on the sgs3. sadly I've seen no fix on the s4. SO! , here's what your can do; in your music player (power amp, etc), under audio settings, turn on Settings>Audio>Audio Focus> and tick 'Short Audio Focus Changes', this will pause your music on notifications.
ORRRRR a far better solution is when you plug in your 3.5mm jack headphones (cause this shii* doesn't happen on bluetooth), you can just pull down your notification bar and tap over to vibrate mode. then you'll hear notifications IN YOUR HEADPHONES a little quieter but still noticeably behind your music, and your music won't pause or mute or anything.

Speakers muting sound when charging.

My D800 LG G2 mutes sounds like game music or music from Spotify when it is charging. The only way to get sound back while charging is to reopen the app... but even then, the sounds will mute again after about 10 seconds. I don't have any issues with sound unless it's charging. Using headphones is no problem, music continues to play through headphones without any muting at all. There is also a noticeable lag in changing volume level (just based on watching the volume slider), charging vs not charging. Does anyone have this issue?
Edit:
Just looked it up again under different key words, it seems like this might be a Lollipop issue?

Low audio volume after finished using bluetooth and turning it off

Did a search and didn't see this problem discussed...
My Moto X Pure has great audio volume by itself through its own speakers, until...
My problems arise after turning on bluetooth, connecting to something such as my car's radio or my Vizio bluetooth sound bar, listening to music a little bit or even a while and then turning off bluetooth and just using my phone normally. When I return to using my phone normally, my audio is so low. I can barely hear any notifications, lock/unlock sounds, music, etc. All volume sliders are still turned all the way up but still, low audio.
Again, this only happens after I've used bluetooth audio, stopped using it and returned to regular phone speaker operation.
The only fix I've found, and it's not a fix obviously, is to reboot the phone. Audio is back to normal, loud after the reboot. But then connect it via bluetooth to something and play music, stop, turn off bluetooth, the audio is once again verrrryyyyy low even though all volume sliders are all the way up.
Anyone else having this problem?
Android 6.0.0 here.
