13s just started the system and started optimizing 152 apps then restarted and went into bootloop. Then I flashed 11s back. But there is Android 6.0 coming soon I guess...

I was able to flash 13S US from CUOCO92 without bootloops, but I'm not able to get mobile data connection to work. Already opened a new thread for this.
Even with CUOCOs 11S US phone can't get mobile data connection.....

I had same problem, someone suggested changing of APN. But before I tried that I've already bricked phone. It was stressful to bring it back to life and I don't want to screw something again.

Yep it doesn't work. LTE/3G/Edge Mobile data is dead with those two ROMs. I tried everything I think. I reverted back with TWRP to my former NAND original Stock ROM 11S.
I even played around with this settings: * # * # 4636 # * # *
But even with this low level mobile config menu I wasn't able to solve it.

I got it installed it and it works fine (13s), data included. I am in europe BTW, if it's a question of bands.
btw I am using 3G in slot 2

Ok interesting, I'm located in Germany and activated B20 on the original 11S and it works perfectly. But with 13S and 11S from cuoco even with the B20 activation tweak the phone was mobile data dead....
B20 Tweak:
First step :
Click the phone icon.
Second step:
Enter code *#*#9439#*#*
Third step:
Options: Enable CDMA.
The last step:
Wait for a signal search.

I didn't even activate B20 till later, but 3G is working fine. Also, reading Cuoco's website and forum, a lot of users (italians) are using it without problems.
PS
They have this on their site, to activate 900Mhz:
https://mega.nz/#!adRWUYbY!j6fsWDqJGr5iUbZ5XLbSUPej3qju_ptaTT2p1ic69ZA
It says to do a factory reset after installation (I didn't install it though)

Actually, a correction: I can get 3G IF I have one SIM in slot 2 but none in slot 1.
If I have 2 SIM I only get GSM
To add some more details:If I have 2 SIM in, I can't even change the preferred network type (only allows GSM), with one I can change type of network and I even get 4G with good signal

Is that better than the 13s? I saw that came out after 13s and it's supposed to fix few bugs, like the youtube and video ones

[Q] only "G" sign appears and no "H"

Hello,
I Bought my defy from Amazon with 2.2.2 and installed CM9, I'm in Israeli Orange network.
My internet speed is very low (about 44 Kbs!) and I have only the "G" sign and not the "H" one. Additionally when ever I'm in a call I can't use the internet.
I've checked the SIM card is 3G compitable and my account at the provider is 3G as well.
Tried to use Baseband switcher and installing other frequencies but till now nothing helped.
Can I do anything except of putting other rom what I really don't like to do?
Thanks for any help.
Igor.
first of all i would suggest u to flash cm10 because its more stable than cm9...
talking about G it might be because you are not on a 3G network(the place where u stay doesnot have 3G yet)
check this settings>about phone>status>network type it should be HSPA for 3G
maybe u havent activated 3G yet, talk to the customer care to activate it.
you cannot use the internet while on a call.
hope i helped you!
tried your sim card on another phone and it works 3g speed?
g stands for gprs (2.5g)
e stands for edge (2.75g)
3g stands for... 3g
h stands for hs(d/u)pa (3.5g)
Make sure that "use only 2g networks" in mobile network settings is not on.
Still no "H"...

Thanks for the quick answer.
My network is supplying 3G coverage for sure and I tried talking to customer service, the only thing they offer is flash their own rom that is much slower and has alot of addons that I dont want.
I checked the network type, it says GPRS1 or UMTS3.
From what I read at the form I think that maybe the modem on the rom I use does not fit for the network operator. Do you know where I can find a sutable one?
Where I can find the CM10? Do I need a special carnel or do anything special to flash it? last thing- will I be able to return to my CM9 if it doesnt work well (supported langueges, signal etc.)
Thanks for the help,
Igor.

Tried the sim on other phones and worked well. I think its a modem or frequency problem on my rom. I am trying to find a modem that will fit Israel Orange network. The only I found is for Galaxy. Guess it wouldn't work...
Thanks for the info about the signs. Btw, you know what is the difference between a signal bar colored blue or white?
Thanks for the answer.
Igor.
Is the baseband correct?
Check under System Settings --> Advanced --> Baseband Selection and choose the right one for your network. It may require changing it more than once to find the right one. I shut down and reboot after each change because I've found that it doesn't always change on a simple reboot.

seems so. consequently, on a properly setup Android phone, white generally means the Internet connectivity is not okay.

could it be that you got a at&t defy which uses a different 3g band than the most of the rest of the world? if that's the case, there's nothing you can do about it...

Thanks for the reply,
I have the baseband switcher but I haven't found the right band so I can have a 3.5g reception.
I'll try asking in the facebook group, thanks for that.
Couple of questions about the installation of the CM10 you wrote about:
1. Do I have to have a specific app for making the backup or is it the backup option available in the recovery?
2. Does it backup only the rom or apps also?
3. Do you know if the cm10 you gave me the link of supports other languages? Hebrew? support right-to-left languages?
4. Anything else I have to know before installing the cm10? (I'm new in all the smartphone's world...
Thanks!

no specific app..its in the recovery.
when you restore a nandroid backup you get it as it was while restoring..everything is backedup contacts, sms, logs, settings, apps, apps settings...talking about the language idk but if its in the cm9 then it should definitely be in cm10..
again i repeat the steps (incase you want the apps to remain then download titanium backup and backup apps)

[MM][DL] Working CM13 ROM for T-Mobile's Note 4

Hello everyone! I do not own this ROM or did I make it, I'm merely spreading the word about it and yes I am currently using it and will be happy to provide screenshots if requested. @BotsOne had made a post on the International Note 4's thread regarding a working CM13 Rom for Trltetmo. Since the post was made public I assume this post I am making is okay, I understand it was originally closed for testing purposes. This is a direct quote from the post where I had downloaded the ROM for myself, if the owner decides to take the download down I will not be uploading the ROM to share.
Simply flash the ROM.zip then flash your choice of Gapps along with anything else you so desire. I booted up perfectly, gave it a moment to settle and I soon got 4G LTE within minutes. Tested calling, texting, and data all work as usual. I have not tested MMS messaging though as I do not use it often. You may modify the T-Mobile APN to your liking. (All I did was change the protocol) I also did not test whether NFC works or not. However, the camera is working perfectly and so is Now on tap with the Nav Bar. Xposed is also working on the ROM. I also have had no force closes.
Special thanks to @BotsOne for sharing the download link and to the creator of the ROM @micky387, I appreciate your effort to bring us Note 4 users at T-Mobile a working CM13 ROM.
Feel free to share your experiences below!
Will take down at the request of @micky387 since I believe they are the owner.
Please be advised that even though it is built for Verizon, it will also work on T-Mobile.

I will give this a shot when I get home today to see how it runs. I love Samsung's apps but man AOSP just runs and looks better.
EDIT: After thinking for a minute, I don't have the time to mess around with switching to AOSP so I'll flash this at a later date and see. But thanks for posting anyways!
I'm going to assume no B12/VoLTE or WiFi Calling because of the DOK2 modem/baseband? The second WiFi calling can be confirmed, I will go to AOSP from TouchWhz.
Tried it going from 4.4.4 direct to it. Booted fine, no cell service at all however.

Make sure you're on a lollipop baseband / modem in order for this to work correctly!

@MisterCoolBeans is right. AOSP ROM's won't offer those features. It's not a modem thing, it's TW only.

Flash ROM.zip, then flash Gapps.zip (Marshmallow Gapps!) and anything else you desire after that.
If you can't seem to find it, just go here

I am currently running the build and it works perfectly fine on my N910T (Trltetmo)
Thank you so much for providing this..
I am using a SM-N910T3 (T-Mobile)
I finished Titanium Backup and also a full system back up using TWRP recovery.
So, I download the full image and flash, then use the Google App zip all in TWRP recovery.. (I usually use a fresh SD to avoid losing original data on SD)
Correct?
in TWRP trying to flash and it verified and says Flashing 1 of 1 , it's been on that screen for 15min now.
UPDATE: I did a factory wipe in TWRP and after that was able to install firmware and gapps
Ok, everything so far is working beautiful... Phone works, sms,
SM-N910T3 using TWRP
cm-13.0-20151217-UNOFFICIAL-trltevzw.zip
What I have noticed so far,
1.)Notification icons are solid white.
2.)After installing SuperSu, it says there is a binary update, when trying to update it fails. It says do it through TWRP,. (Side load it.. done)
3.) SD card is write protected or not accessible in titianium backup (Update: fixed with this-
"Originally Posted by sjancura
I searched and found you need to change a setting in Preferences - Backup folder location. Near the top is Storage Provider. Click and change to Directory provider. Fixed it for me. Never knew that was a setting before!"
4.)When connecting usb to computer, shows device in my computer but its empty and doesn't show external card and internal location. UPDATE: SOLVED: (while restoring from TitaniumB/turned off debugging in dev. section , I noticed a option was in the pull down menu, "Use USB for" - [Charging] , [File Transfers] or [Photo Transfer] . I selected File transfers -MTP and it works now. (Maybe this is a Android 6 "feature")
5.) Under [About Phone], Model name shows [SM-N910V] will try and change this to my actual model - SM-N910T3
Looking for a simple app to do this instead of the long way of editing the build.prop
6.) Google Camera, Camera error - "Can't connect to the camera" - Is there a way to install the native Samsung camera app (Researching now) - I installed Camera 360 and that works fast
7.) Fast Charging doesn't seem to be working

Some also have this, but some also doesnt have any problems with it. Weird
with using earphones you can use the calls, but cant install or uninstall any application results in soft reboot. you cant flash back 5.1 again, you will loose baseband.
is this the chinese dev version of android m? i am still using stable 7.2.5,looking forward to get miui8 update soon, but it seems will take some time.

Working ROM List for Xperia Z5 Dual (E6633/E6683) and Bugs report

Hi everyone,
Since there's only a few full support ROMs for the dual models,
I would like to list out some ROMs in this forum state as "e6653" but still works with e6633/83.
WORKING:
1. Omini SaberMod by infected_(NOT SURE)
2. RomAur
3. SlimX Extreme by _LLJY
4 AOSP FOR Dual (Self-built)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/aosp-n-7-0-z5-duale6683-t3486729
5, AOSP Sabermod
6, ANY ROM BASED ON THE STOCK FIRMWARE, flash this to make them work on dual:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/dual-variant-enabler-t3411965
Those are the ROMs tested my me, and proved they are able to boot up.
Procedure to get CM and Omini working:
1. Download the zips.
2. Download this recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/twrp-3-0-2-cm-aosp-roms-t3373008
3. Extract the zip.
4. Flash the boot.img through fastboot
5. Flash recovery through fast boot as well.
6. Boot into recovery (When the Pink or Purple LED lights up press VOL UP)
7. Wipe Data+Cache+System
8. Install the Rom alongside with Gapps. Capps can be found everywhere in the forum.
9.
This is the method I got those ROM to work.
If there's any other ROM you've tested which works on e6683/33 please list them here!
As I said, I've retried to flash CM on my E6633.
Following your steps, after the ROM + GAPPS flashed, my device shows me briefly the Sony logo during the booting, and my device power off. Same than my first try in May :/
So I reflashed the boot.img through fastboot, and CM is booting correctly. But always no SIM detection and no SD card detected (but this is normal for the SD card) !
I checked, and my SIM card is on the SIM slot 1. I tried the SIM slot 2, without success.
What am I doing wrong ? This will make me crazy...

If you flash CM, better try zacharias.maladroit's kernel.
He've posted it in the op.
I boot up my phone successfully.
Flash the kernel first, then recovery.

Hey, I'd like to add that by installing the CM from Here you can use Zach's latest Sun kernel test build to get the sims working along with the fingerprint sensor..

Hello, im having the same simcard undetected issue the first guy in this thread had. i can get it to work if i restore my backup "stock" rom, but not with cyanogen13. ive tried multiple kernels and they all boot up (if they boot up and dont hang) with a non working simcard. can anyone point me to a working kernel/cm13 combo for my e6633? thanks so much, this has been driving me nuts
can anyone provide me a link to download the CM 13 for Z5 dual (e6683)? i cant seem to find it

Well it's sad that the latest cm seems not to work anymore, even with the recommended kernel.(Just manage to give it a try).
I will try AOSP, PA, Omini and SlimRom in the following days.
PS: in the PA and Omini it seems that the camera had been fixed..
RESULTS
AOSPA: only single sim working(BUILD 20160823)
Omini : no sim detected but can boot up.(BUILD 20160823)
AOSP: not working at all
Regards,
Jerry

I was successful in getting both AOSP 6.0.1 and 7.0 to boot on my e6683. I followed the instructions provided on Sony's developer site but there were tons of steps that either were missing information or I ran into issues so I documented all the small changes I had to make to get it to build properly.
I have been on 6.0.1 for 3 days now, seems pretty decent so far in terms of battery life (comparable to what I was getting on rooted .253).
Things I can confirm are working: phone, SMS/MMS, fingerprint reader, SIM slot 1, camera, WiFi, GPS.
Things I can confirm are NOT working: 2nd SIM slot, SD Card not detected, screen gets "static" and flickers 2-3 times a day (fixed by shutting off screen and then waking up again).
Things I have not tested so cannot comment on: bluetooth, NFC, cellular signal strength vs stock, ability to properly root.

Yes no problem at all. I'm at work but tonight I can clean it up and share. I'm pretty new on these boards, I just want to be sure I'm not breaking any rules by posting them improperly or anything. How should I share this, in a post in this thread or just PM you a word document or something?
Thanks!

S4 Sprint MM roms that support GSM

Which marshmallow roms for the sprint version work with gsm networks ? was using the optimized cm12.1 by jdc team after editing the updater scripts file so that it installs the gsm files instead of cdma. However the same trick doesn't work for MM roms including AOSP 6.0.1, CM13 , CM13 optimized jdc team, and also the nougat rom.
Any one successfully using these roms with gsm networks ?

Hi,
I'm also looking for such a ROM. I recently bought a Sprint S4 which was made to look like an i9500 in the about phone section. All marshmallow ROMs I've tried installing onto the phone present network problems telling me invalid simcard, out of service and so forth. I'm stuck with this i9500/L720 stock Samsung ROM. Please anyone, help!

Yay! Finally got it to work. Thanks. I didn't find the line for editting the network mode in the custom ROM I installed (optimizedCM13 by JDCTeam) but I added it none the less. Got the app "Advanced System Status" , turned the radio off and entered the GSM auto mode. Everything works well now.
Update: Actually, no additional lines were needed. Removed them and just used the "Advanced System Status" app.
I have to configure it again each time I reboot though.

Nope, as long as you don't flash using odin (Unless you're using it to flash TWRP.), you won't lose the unlock.

That did not work for me. On optimized CM13 by JDCTeam my sim card is not detected. Even after installing advanced signal status it did not work. I dont have the lines you mentioned in my build prop. On AOSP CM14 by JDCTeam my SIM card is detected but i am not getting signals.
