This video is basically for build number .570 but it´s nearly the same. The step with the custom kernel+recovery isn`t mentioned in the video and i installed some mods right after flashing the prerooted zip! i thought it won`t be bad if I add the video which I have already made for the previous prerooted .570!

For the Kernel v8.1 + TWRP 3.0.2.0 YES IT HAS TO BE UNLOCKED
but I recently added some steps for TWRP 3.0.0.0 on LOCKED BOOTLOADER

Nope there is no Marshmallow Kernel for the Z2 which supports QC2.0. The developer of this Kernel told me he's working on it but ain't shure if it really works. But this kernel is in my opinion the best for Android Marshmallow! It enables FastCharge (not as fast as QC2.0 but faster than normal) and has a new hotplug driver called "fast_hotplug". The new driver makes your phone even on low cpu frequences smooth and fast! I am using my z2 at 300-1200MHz with fasthotplug enabled and it seems to be as smooth as on max. Cpu performance! If you want a custom kernel you should really try this one. Another advantage is the twrp 3.0.2.0 recovery on UB, slightly overclocked GPU and CPU for performance like the Z3 and the option to undervolt the cpu to make your battery last longer and let the phone stay cool even WHILE playing games like GTA SA or Modern Combat 5! The breathing notification led bar is another nice feature! Really good and stable kernel. The developer is working on newer versions with new features!

But you can flash Jacko's v5 zip which was made for locked lollipop devices! It boosts the charging process a bit and may be useful. Don't forget to backup before flashing these kind of things, because if the flashing process fails because of some reason(for me it worked like charm) your phone might get VERY VERY HOT while charging! So backup your system+boot+cache and everything will be fine!

Could you describe what you do to z2 was cold while playing games

I'm on LB.
I've successfully flashed everything and it worked.
Than I've realized I forgot to flash TWRP image. So I went through downgrade and flashing everything again and flashed newest TWRP.img. I got only choice - "Kernel partition".
After that the phone died and flashed only red upon connecting the cable. I've managed to get the red-blinking device to fastboot and flash 5.1.1 again.
What are the correct steps to get working recovery on this locked 6.0.1?
thanks for help!

N910F want to go back to official rom & kernel

hello take a while xda forum and the truth is that it has helped me a lot earlier with S IV and now with the note IV .
I have a problem and that the note 4 are no longer suits me as before, lag, some applications crash ... .
I got installed a custom kernel and custom rom i would like to know if it's possible to go back to official kernel and official rom.
I know how to do to roll back to official rom but with the kernel i search a bit and dind't found the kernel.
I know that 's a tall order but appreciate it if someone could lend a hand and tell me I have to do.
Thanks in advance and follow so that this community helps a lot to people who are not expert in android.
Are you sure that flashing official firmware is the right decision? Loosing root and all the good things that come with it?
Lags and all that sh^@+ happens.. but I'll tell you somenting: it happens even more with official firmwares..
What I suggest you is to flash another custom rom (one of the latest) and see how it goes.
Anyway, answering to your question about the kernel: flashing an official rom you'll flash the official kernel too.

Here is The Link of Pure Samsung Base Lollipop For SM-N910F But Remember to Update Bootloader & Modem According To ROM....
Above link Also Have Deodexed Rom(All things are Stock just Deodexed To work with Xposed & Selinux Status)
To Change the Selinux Status Use SELinux Mode Changer...
If you are Changing Selinux Status For Viper4Android Here You go Official ViPER4Android Audio Effects...
If you are on TW than Viper4Android on stock kernel
Regards your Headphone Volume you can Give A try To Poweramp Music Player if you Don't want To go Through all this Stuff...
You Can also try AOSP Roms Like Official Cm12.1 for 910F and 910G Even in Nightlies it's Stable Enough To Perform As Daily Driver (Xposed ,V4Android all will work)...

Regarding installing AK Kernel

I have installed the AK Kernel but then the change in battery life isn't great and the phone lags like anything. Even during simple tasks like WhatsApp.
I did the following :
Flash Stock kernel
Install AK kernel
Installed Synapse
I need to know whether I am supposed to compulsorily flash the Oxygen Rom 2.1?
If yes then what is the meaning of Dirty flash ?
Do I have to flash the Rom and the update as mentioned in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/oxygenos-2-1-1-discussions-download-t3225296

Hallo,
first I want to say that I really love this kernel, @ak
question: I updated the last 4-5 versions via ak updater. But already in version 18 you said one should dirtyflash rom before. I want to rectify this now.
But I never flashed a rom. (Got op2 -> updated to 2.1.1 -> root).
Now should I flash following zip? Oxygen OS 2.1.1: OnePlus2Oxygen_14_OTA_009_all_1510112055.zip (from "[ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates")
Like this?
1. wipe dalvic/caches/system
2. flash Oxygen zip
3. flash ak.zip
4. wipe dalvic/cache
Or am I wrong?

Update rooted SG312 4.3 to 5.1 with SuperSu already installed and Tablet UI ?

Hi all,
I have UK SG312 on Andorid 4.3 rooted with SuperSU already installed .....
I have Phab7 installed via Xposed Installer and also a few other UI customisations via gravity box such as custom battery status .. but the main reason was to get the tablet mode UI option enabled so that the Back & Home .. etc buttons/icons are positioned in the more tablet friendly bottom left of the screen.
Is it possible to update to the official latest Android release (lollipop 5.1 - ROM 10.6.A.0.454) and keep my root, so that Phab7 / Xposed will still work .. or is it impossible to have legacy tablet mode ui on Lollipop ... is there an alternative to Xposed & Pahb7 that works for lollipop ?
I seem to remember that it was possible to update from 4.0 to 4.X and keep root using the OTA updates as long as SuperSU was installed and its binaries updated prior to running the update...
Does this method still work and will Phab7 still work ? ... do i need to do something with Phab7 or Xposed first ?
I tried to find the answers on the forum but couldn't find anything that matched my situation ....
Sorry all but i am about two years out of date with current Android unlock/root methods .... I've been happy with 4.3 so far ....
is it actually worth updating to 5.1 ?, is there a performance hit ?
So many questions ... any suggestion or advice greatly appreciated ...
Cheers
Jay
I'm on a SGP321 (LTE/4G) running 10.7.A.0.222 (LP 5.1.1).
10.7.A.0.228 has just been released, but is still vulnerable to stagefright.
Installing the Xposed framework on LP+ requires you to flash a zip file in recovery. You cannot install it through Android like before.
I'm running v78 sdk22 with Xposed Installer 3.0 alpha 4.
Is your device out of warranty?
If so, I'd recommend you unlock your bootloader to gain access to recovery.
You won't have to deal with losing root, and you can make system backups.
No need to unlock as there are working root exploits. See RootKit's post.
I too was reluctant to upgrade when Sony decided to remove the tablet mode.
I liked the nav bar on the left and notifications on the bottom right.
There was an Xposed module for KK4.4 which enabled the Tablet UI layout for the system called TabletKat. I used that while on KK. (repo.xposed.info/module/org.exalm.tabletkat)
But in Android 5+, they seemed to have totally removed the Tablet UI layout from SystemUI (as described here: ykkfive.blogspot.com.au/2013/11/real-original-xperia-tablet-ui-mode-for.html).
However, there is another module called "Xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons" (repo.xposed.info/module/com.gzplanet.xposed.xperianavbarbuttons)
which allows you to add margin to the right to reposition the buttons. See attached screenshots.
It does not move the notifications to the bottom right.
Yes, there are ways to keep root but I've never needed to as I have unlocked my bootloader and have recovery.
The methods usually rely on software bugs, which usually get patched. So this may not be doable for LP.
Subjectively, Lollipop feels snappier, but that could just be because I started with a fresh copy of android.
All the root apps I use and most of my Xposed modules work, so I'm happy on 5.1.1.
Regardless, I would recommend you upgrade as there are many security vulnerabilities patched between 4.3 and 5.1.
If and when Sony finally decides to patch Stagefright, you should definitely upgrade.

You can update to 5.1.1 (not .454 as it is Android 5.0.2, but 10.7.A.0.222 or 10.7.A.0.228 firmware versions) via flashing PreRooted firmware via XZDR recovery. (TWRP preferrable) and maintain Root&Recovery&Xposed, but Tablet Kat won't work. Though it's creator promised to adapt it to LP.

Actually yes, the rom is one of the smoothest on device. Also there is a slight performance boost (see Antutu or Quadrant), because of the good optimization.
Xposed and many modules like Gravity Box are working good. So i see no reason to stay on older ROMs like 4.3 or .4.4.x.

By unlocking he will wipe TA partition with DRM keys which is unrecoverable. Furthermore, unlocking bootloader doesn't give you access to recovery cause Sony devices don't have stock recovery like Nexus or Samsung, so he will need to flash recovery to FOTA partition or use kernel with built-in one.
So instead, it's easier and safer to install XZDR recovery on bootloader locked Sony stock rooted ROM.
Also from it you can install Stock PreRooted ROM (like .454 or .222 or whatever you like ROMs), so you will keep root and bootloader locked at the same time.
So, your advice is a bit obsolete.

Bounty for fix PIE Kernel on my Device

Hello guys.
I have a Dual XZ (F3882) and since first Pie Release, i was unable to boot up any PIE rom. I came from Omni Oreo Rom (already used AOSP Oreo Rom in 2017) and everthing worked fine (camera, ril, bluetooth, etc). When Sony released Stock Oreo, i flashed stock firmware and stay on it until firmware 184 (with ubl + magisk), so my bootloader is updated to last firmware (i guess).
Another day, one Dev created a 4.4. kernel and ask me to test it in boot rom and then my device boot up in Pie Rom. Using this kernel, many features is broken, like camera, external sdcard, flashlight, etc
Seems that my device has some problem or 4.9 source code is not okay yet.
So i decided to create this bouty, because i do not wanna sell my phone, and wanna solve the problem that prevents my device boot up to 4.9 kernel or create a patch that i can flash over to fix news kernels.
I don't setup the value for the awards but I think that interested person could be says a value and we make a deal for effort.
Hope somebody take this Challenge.

I need a fix for pie kernel not stock one. But thx to try to help.
Flash your device with flashtool via xperifirm (not external .ftf) to stock and check every wipe option except any TA stuff, then try again reflashing your Pie rom the way it worked before.
Had the same problem of kernel issues "sticking" even after flashing ftf, this worked for me.
