Did you know that you can set multiple images as lockscreen wallpapers? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

New to posting, but I just found out that I can set multiple photos for wallpapers for the lockscreen.
Settings/display and wallpapers/ wallpapers/click top left for lockscreen/select which ones you want in gallery. They fade in and out. You can select up to 30 images.
Just thought this was a pretty cool feature.
Thanks for looking and enjoy.

How can i find Wallpaper setting on Display? I cannot see it anywhere

Right under the brightness slider.

I don't see how you're selecting more than one wallpaper. I can select one for home screen, and one for lock screen, but not more than one for each.

Lock screen wallpaper

hi there, i have a picture of my missus that i want to put as the lock screen wallpaper however it tiles the same picture as it is smaller than the screen (480x800). i was wondreing if there was a way of getting the picture to be centred in the screen, with a blank background, similar to the XP setting.
i have tried enlarging the photo to 480 x 800 but it doesnt look right

You need something that will resize it and keep the aspect ratio, and then resize it to either 480x... or ...x800, then add a black background to fill the gaps at the top & bottom or sides.
I'll do it for you if you like - just send me a link to the pic.
ah okayyy i think i could work that, i;ll give it a go and if i fail then i will send you a link...cheers

Wallpaper size on android rom

what's wallpaper size for android rom on HD2 ?
Hi i think it is 960x480.
If the File has this size there is no need for scaling by Android.
Send from my [email protected] 2.2
If u want full wvga, its 480x800.
if u want ur wallpaper to span across more than 1 screen, its 960x800
But when I choose Home wallpaper, the picture are still cut, stretch
This was bugging me for the longest time and I've finally found the solution. Only way i've been able to get wallpapers to fit without cropping issues(where android zooms into the cropped section) is to use 960x800, this will however make the wallpaper span across all the screens.
Yes, IMO the best resolution is 980x800, there is an option in Launcher Pro though, if you prefer the screen stay still so the image on your home screen stays static.
Launcher Pro > Appearance Settings > Disable wallpaper scrolling.
Problem is kinda hard to find 980, don't use Google or a bunch of porn pops up when you search for exactly 980x800. There was a forum somewhere here on xda that someone posted like 50+ wallpapers all 980x800, can't remember where it's at though =\

[Q] Widget locker - is there a way to choose what part of the wallpaper to show?

Currently I have two homescreens with a scrollable wallpaper. When I first added the wallpaper, the widgetlocker screen would have the part of the wallpaper that is on screen two. Now it's moved to screen one for some reason and I'd like to change it back to the way it was as I'd moved the widgets around to fit in with the colour of the background.
Thanks
In the widgetlocker settings u can tick Alternate wallpaper and select the part which you want
Ah, I downloaded the wallpaper using the Backgrounds app. I dont think it saves to a place where I can view it.
edit: nevermind theres an option to save it on the app. Thanks!

Lock screen clock, not AOD clock change

Can we get a horizontal clock? I can only seem to adjust the AOD clock.
I applied a theme and it was horizontal for a while... a few hours later I look and its back to the vertical one. Anyone else notice this?
Hours and minutes are aligned vertically, if there are notifications.
It seem to be horizontal if you have any notifications. Once those are cleared, it goes back to vertical.
Here is a easy Solution
smarturl.it/samsung-s8-clock-chg
Takes less than 2 minutes costs nothing, does not revert back after notification or anything like that.
Horizontal clock is an option under AOD display settings. Look for clock style

Go to Settings...Lock screen and security...Information and FaceWidgets...Contact and Information. You can type in something here and it will show up underneath a horizontal clock. If you don't want anything to show up but still want the horizontal clock, just put in one space and no other text.
I've made a theme with horizontal clock on lock screen. This theme used stock icons and a colour is a little bit changed. Change wallpaper and change icons and thats all. But you can create this by yourself by samsung mobile theme editor wish i have later version. So in order to make horizontal clock in this editor you need to use not colour selection on tab lockscreen but images. And upload image of every digit 012345678: and thats all.

This is really the best proposal. I came here to get rid of this ugly clock on lock screen of my S8+. Thank you so much. No theme, nothing. :good:
Edit: does not work. The horizontal clock just showed up because there was a notification.
No dice on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus for AT&T
Had a horizontal clock working for months using themes, but since the samsung update about a week ago it broke, there really should be a simple was to do this anyway, we shouldn't be looking for work arounds

Lockscreen Wallpaper

Anyone know how to change the lock screen wallpaper?
I went into Wallpaper and the only option I got was to change the wallpaper and not the lock screen
Hi,
Just found the answer on the OnePlus forums. When you are in the screen for the wallpaper change, swipe it left and you will see the wallpaper that you actually have. On that view, select below the wallpaper that you want and it will change the lock screen wallpaper. Sorry if I'm not that clear; in the OnePlus forums there's a post with pictures explaining it. Cheers!
