My new 2 month used Z5C dead! Won't start, won't charge. I tried all thing which I found on the internet but no luck. :crying: It is my first Sony phone. Can anyone help me? Any suggestions?
Does Sony pc companion or flashtool find it? If not then take it to repair center. Do you have custom rom or kernel inside or is bootloader unlocked or is it still uprooted and locked?

Suddenly. After rooting and unlocking I used it month. And one time bah turned off. I tried to turn on but I got 3 vibration and further nothing.

you've tried the reset button under the sim cover?
if you unlocked the bootloader your warranty might be void
( so it will cost you money to fix i guess)

Yes I tried it but no luck. I ordered repair on Sony official web page, I set him IMEI number. So they say nothing about warranty. They sent me official service center address and I sent him my phone. So right now I'm waiting their decision. Hope that they repair it.

Xperia Z5 Compact has non removable battery as other Xperia Z series.
There is always a possibility to change the battery.
I encountered this problem with my xperia s.
It seems that the battery change is more complicated on z5 compact.
In this case, I think it's enough to disconnect / reconnect it.

I normally used my Nexus 4 - then it´s shut down(used hells-core + slimbean).
Now nothing will work(no normal booting, no fastboot and no charging etc) - only when I try to connect it with my PC the N4 wants to install drivers(QHSUSB_DLOAD anything).
Any ideas from your side, how to solve the problem?

I know when I had a sensation if your phone got in that mode it ment u bricked it. They can't tell what is on your phone cause that mode is used to flash firmware by manufacturers. Send it in and they will reflash it for you and send it back. Dont tell them u rooted it or unlocked it or flashed a ROM/kernel.

Your device is bricked. Only way will be to send it back to have the motherboard replaced.

It depends on if they can bring the board back. If they can then they will see that and may charge you for the repair but the chances are slim.

I would say more like 95/5 That they wont see it. It is really hard to bring the board back. If they do it depends on them. Could be cheaper to get new device but wouldnt count on them seeing it.

No device is unbrickable. All you have to do is make sure you understand what your doing before you do it. Spend a week or so researching what you are doing then and understand what you are doing first.

That is exactly what happened. There is no SGSII rom that will work on the Nexus. Only Nexus roms will work on the Nexus.

I had an S2 and flashed Roms for that..
I had a Nexus and flashed Roms for that..
And now for Nexus 4 - and I flashed the correct ones..

It sounds like you flashed a ROM/kernel for another device. Can you post the file you flashed?

And while im playing my power goes to zero, so it booted down..
Now after i did nothing with it and loaded 2 minutes..
I could boot and my Nexus is repaired

I must click "ok" on the phone to use it, and I can't because screen is unresponsive And even now lg app wont see my phone, it worked to turn wifi off and on, but i cant do this either

Yes it it is, but what can you do... Phone itself is great but it's so fragile that i'm thinking of selling it and buy Z1 or One, to not be scared that if it drops from 20 cm it will broke...

I believe that you have been unlucky .... even my fell by around 40 cm and is not broken.
It's kinda unfair that on ebay a replacement screen for american variants costs about 70€ and for D802 ~170€

This is hit or miss from what ive read, it either goes at boot every time as well as the chraging flap warning every time you unplug, or only once. If it bothers you enough there are a few xposed modules that will remove both the warnings, other than that im not sue of any stock way to get it to stop other than reseat your back cover.

Wanam has it i believe, as well as xposed g-touchwiz, both are on the playstore but you need the xposed framework installed for them to work.

No, you can't. To back up your keys you need root. To get root you need to unlock. If you unlock you loose your keys. You can simulate the functionality but can't restore the keys.

This is ridiculous ! Faulty electrical parts (I assume they were already like that) have to be fixed (what is broken, btw ?),
does Sony have a something like a Community or PR Manager on Facebook, Twitter ? - Write them publicly that they'll get some pressure.
My phone works so far (2 weeks old, hardly used) *knock on wood* - but if they reacted in that way: I'd got to my lawyer and demand repair + NEVER EVER buy anything from them again and also tell everyone about this "maltreatment".
What kind of ****ty politics is this: they're offering you a defective product (non fully functioning) at a premium plus price and then sanction you if you fix it yourself (referring to bootloader unlock + custom parts),
it's not like you only rented the device - you OWN it !
Well if i have the functionality why would i need the keys? Nevermind. Im happy with functionality restored.

really bad news to hear... We still need an exploit to gain temporary root priviledges and so backup the TA partition in a safe place in case like these.
However do not give up and get information about warranty laws in your Country

Are u sure after unlocking bootloader ur camera clarity are same as before ? I don't think so. UB will decrease the camera quality.. U will lost X Reality and Supervivid also..

Don't go to Sony, go to your dealer to claim warranty. You have a contract with the dealer who sold you the phone, not with Sony. If the phones age is less than 6 month, the dealer has to prove that the parts weren't defect when you bought it.

no, that's wrong (at least in germany). unless unlocking bootloader (and rooting) is the cause for the defect.
e.g. unlocking bootloader doesn't cause a broken powerbutton

Well it's my opinion and my experience, I have a opx but I won't buy anything from one plus again, some part of the problem is customer service and the support, then the build quality, I had a problem with the mic on my opx I took it to a friend who has a service center and fixed it for me and showed me the poor quality build
I'm happy with my opx, but if I would have the money to buy another phone, I wouldn't go with one plus again.
Edit : 2 days ago they had it on stock, didn't know that they don't have it anymore. Mb

i would suggest that you look around the OPX is good i have it and have been using it just basic use and no problem but today we have many phones costing less than this one and with better specs and bigger screen and they are not realy concentrating on this phone dought if we will get any updates .Dont buy the letv which u see on my sign after buying it i see many isues with the service and i feel quite sacred reading them all on the Le forum hope this phone will survive for a year fingers crossed not problem as of now
