Titanium Backup - Sprint HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Has everyone been able to get Titanium Backup to work?
I tried restoring my folder from Google Drive, but when I set up my folder backup, using all methods, it doesn't recognize the folder.
I've tried it on the internal and external SD.
Thanks.
Edit: Got it to work by syncing back with Google Drive.

[Q] Problem restoring titaniumbackup on NANDbuild cyanogenmod7

Hey guys,
could you help me out restoring my settings with titaniumbackup, here's my problem:
I backed up my settings on my previous rom (DHDrom SD), then flashed to cyanogenmod7, but to get rid of all the garbage on my SDcard(like stupid pictures and sounds used in wmapplications that appear in my android gallery and music application) i wiped my SDcard clean (i did backup my SD on my computer). But now is the problem that titaniumbackup obviously can't find the backup file anymore because i wiped my SDcard. So...
Is there a way to fish up my backup file from the SDcardbackup on my computer and get it properly onto my actual SD so that titaniumbackup could use it to restore my settings?
im sorry for being a nb
Thanks!

Hi,
Looking at my own sd card ,I've got a TitaniumBackup folder and a TitaniumBackup-3.7.3.2.zip.
See if you have anything like on your pc backup, restore them to the card, and see if that restores your settings.
nope didnt work the only thing i can find with the name titanium in it is an empty folder in the data folder
The default location for Titanium backup is /sdcard/TitaniumBackup. If that folder doesn't exist or is empty, then it seems your backup is lost.
Okay and couldn't it be hidden in the root folder somewhere because titaniumbackup always asks for root access? Because I used the free root version of titaniumbackup?
Anyways thanks for answering!!

TitaniumBackup + SDcard backup

TitaniumBackup will backup all apps and system data, but does it backup data stored onto the internal SDcard ? Say you copy a few albums and some pictures onto the SDcard, will Titanium figure this out ? My gut feeling is that it does'nt and if so, what would you recommend to take care of this ?
I would like to install a new ROM, and I know from past experience that the SDcard on the 'Nexus 7' will be completely wiped and want to ensure that I don't loose any data
I backup all my data regularly offsite by using both TB and nandroid backups, then use a sync app to copy the data including other folders (Like pictures) to a workstation.
Lost/Stolen/Broken/Messed up by a ROM update, I can restore and be back like new (even with a new device).

Excellent advice, thank you !
i sync to my ftp server..
But ti backup will backup to and restore from a sd card with OTG Cable. Done it several times. just set your backup location to the sd card while its mounted.. but do not unmount while ti is open do not unplug otg without unmounting.. You WILL CURRUPT YOUR BACKUP.. YES I DID THIS once too...
Good Luck.. TI sync app is so very slow and useless ..
i use andftp. app
Well if your already unlocked, your SD card won't be wiped when you install ROMs.....
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app

titanium backup failed

so I backed up everything with titanium backup, and copied the whole contents of my internal storage to my pc, then I wiped and flashed 4.2. Now I copied my titanium backup folder back to my internal storage, and guess what? It doesn't see any of my apps! what gives?

4.2 does something strange because of the new Multi-User Feature.
Place the TiBu folder where you want it.
Open the app and click on the settings button.
Click on Preferences.
Look for backup folder location.
Click on detect and wait.
If that doesnt find it the back arrow soft-key will take you up to the previous folder keep going up till you get to the root folder (by root folder i mean when it says "/") and then from there find your backups.
hope this helps

Titanium backup not restoring sd app data

Hi,
So on my old nexus galaxy, I backed up a couple of my apps with Titanium backup (minecraft, keepsafe). I then uploaded the titanium backup folder to dropbox. When I got my nexus 4 I downloaded the copy of the backup folder from dropbox, and then I restored the two apps app and data. The app restores fine, but there is NO data from the apps. For example I go to the Minecraft worlds folder and its empty. Does titanium not backup data on sd cards? The backup zips seem to be large...
THanks,
Michael

Titanium will backup the app and it's data, it will not backup and restore anything saved to an SD card, which is where that type of game data would reside.
Try creating a game and saving it. Once you find it, copy the files from your sd card to the folder where your new save was created.
Preferences > Backup app external data > Enabled (Always). Do that and SD data will be backed up

Helium (formerly Carbon) Restore issue

i backed up my apps with helium and moved the files to my laptop as i wanted to do a full wipe + a format to my internal storage, after i did all that and flashed a new rom,i installed helium again, plugged my phone to my laptop and copied the contents of the "carbon" folder on my laptop to the folder that got created in the phones storage after i installed the app.
Now when i try to restore the apps from the internal storage i see a message that says "No backups were found on your internal storage.Maybe you should make some"
is there any workaround this issue or am i doing something wrong
