Anybody knows how to downgrade from MM 6.0.1 to KK 4.4.4 on 910C - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello Guys,
I'm a little bit disappointed with 6.0.1, because a huge battery drain and want to back on old 4.4.4. Indeed it is old, but work really fast and battery life is much better.
Unfortunately bootloader is locked and couldn't successfully flash via Odin KK 4.4.4 firmware.
Do anybody have idea is there a chance to do that?

I'm going to downgrade too and just downloaded 4 files (pit and so on files), but didn't do that yet.
The question is: you tried to downgrade with 4 files or only with 1 file?
Thanks.

it doesnt work , still u will face sw .... errors

You can go back to 5.1.1 but it gets stuck after that. Trying to go back to 5.0.2 doesn't work.

i tried the pit file but not the 4 files method but didn't work , also i removed bootloader file from 4.4.4 sw and flashed it with odin successfully but got boot loop

you can not downgrade your phone to 5.0.1 and 4.4.4 ,samsung has put bootloader lock during COJ5

You can't go back to 4.4.4. You can only downgrade to 5.1.1 coj5.
//Sad for 910C. 910G bl is not locked.

still there is a possible JTAG solution , search it and you might find the methods

How did you do that? I tried with Odin, but it says Leave CS... All threads Completed (Succeed 0/ failed 0)
That's strange
Did you wipe data and cache before downgrade
That important factor
Open odin do Not connect your device yet
Click AP box get your 4.4 rom wait for full load
Connect your device then start
I will post video later so watch very close

I did not wipe any of them. I just flash 4.4.4 with Odin. The result was some of the ext4 partition are different so the flashing wasn't successful. Download mode worked but recovery not. I flashed back 5.0.1. So the phone is working again, all of my personal data still on the phone.
You have to factory reset from recovery before downgrade

Extremely bad.
Bluetooth calls in my car don't work anymore (it worked fine in KitKat). Sound notifications aren't disabled at night (past my "nappy" time!).
Modem quality is horrible too. After every 2-3 calls I have to reboot the phone or the next call will be totally mute.
None of these problems existed before the 5.0.1 upgrade (which ran without a glitch by the way).
At this moment I am also downloading KitKat for my N910C, and I'll downgrade.

There are actually two reasons: 1) I think the X-note is the best custom rom out there and 2) i want xposed to work before I do the jump. xposed works great with my Note 2, but it is running CM lollipop.

Just done it about a month ago on my E5, No risk at all and I downgraded successfully to KitKat from Lollipop. Just download the KitKat firmware and flash it via Odin, just make sure after flash that you boot to recovery and perform full data wipe.
Hopefully Samsung hasn't locked our Lollipop bootloader and KitKat package has the old bootloader and because of that there is no problems after downgrade.

What Kind of fail? Error message?
if you have updated to "coj5" or newer builds of 5.1.1 then you can not go back to kitkat or even previous builds of 5.1.1 or 5.0.1. thats why you get "failed" error in odin. unfortunately there is no way to downgrade as of now because coj5 locks the bootloader.

Damn I just downgraded a few days ago with exactly the COJ5 version. I've also heard that some people can't downgrade but it seems like I never had a problem with this.
Maybe if i had such a problem I would try to install a custom ROM / other bootloader with Odin first to see if works with a stock kitkat rom after.

G900F CM13 Starting Apps

I tried to install different versions of cm13 ( official and unofficial) on my galaxy s5. I did everything I was supposed to do but every time after I install or wipe the app optimisation starts and it stays stuck at starting apps. I'm very confused right now so any if anyone can help me I would be grateful.

I have the G900F and have successfully flashed the new MM BL, then back to the old LP BL and then back up to MM again, so yes as long as your bootloader is unlocked in the first place, shouldn't have a problem
Also flashed from LP to KK and back to LP again

Downgrade from 6.0.1 to 4.4.2

Can someone please upload the stock rom, kernel, and modem for 4.4.2 NCG? I have tried atleast five time using what I thought to be the files and keep getting stuck on a black screen with a blue status light after flashing with flashfire from pb1 using the guide on the 'top topics'. Can someone please help me out?
What's the problem to pull it off the stock firmware?
BTW, I'd try BOK3 rather then BPB1.

May I ask why you need KK on your phone?
It's outdated and flashing KK is not an easy process.
As for the file, yes, it looks like a stock firmware file.

I like the simple design and battery life of this version when I had it in 2014 on a G900A. This Marshmallow and Lollipop stuff is absolute bs. Battery life on Lollipop gives me 4 hours and Marshmallow about 2 hours. I'm hoping that KK would give me better performance and battery life on this G900V.

Yeah....This was a terrible idea. A auto update managed to install and I'm hard bricked. I'm not sure if it updated to the next update or to 6.0.1. Does you know where to find a debrick image?

Nope, only showed this 'Qhub' thing in device manager and didn't show in odin. Found a PD1 unbrick img, wrote it to a sd card with win32 disk imager, put in the sd, held the buttons for download mode, and it booted. Yeah, A total hard brick. I'm not gonna do that anymore, lmao. Found a great way to disable a phone though.
I also have a cid 15 g900v, what can that do compared to a cid 11? I know a bootloader unlock but what's that mean? I can install any rom?

Locked bootloader is called locked because it can only boot a signed, stock kernel (boot.img).
It's locked in SM-G900V by default.
CID15 means that you can unlock the bootloader and use a custom/modified kernel, if you want.
For example, it's necessary for LOS or for rooting on Android 6.0 and above.

So I could build roms if I wanted?
Or you could sell the CID15 phone to me via swappa to make a little $$$? I'm actively looking for one...
I just downgraded from BPB1 and unlocked bootloader and disabled Reactivation lock last night. CID (15) I think it's CID, but 15 none the less. Also I knew the login info for Samsung account. I believe you have to know. I still have all files, but I don't know how I'd get them to you. Also have a paid FlashFire.APK. I can also tell you what you need to fill when it comes time to flash NCG via FlashFire. LET ME KNOW, BUD. Took me months to find all files and the correct method. Now on 6.0.1. Fully rooted.
