Any rom flashes yet? - Verizon HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Anyone flashed a rom yet? I've seen some say all roms should work, but I'm a bit hesitant.

Verizon based.

That's good. Getting antsy! I want power saver mode. The old sqlite editor method doesn't appear to work on this phone

Most likely the kernel is the only thing that is going to differ between unlocked/verizon roms.
When kernel source is released, we might see unified roms

Good find since the build number here is 4.06.605.3 and the old one is 4.06.605.2
Didn't the latest leak still have evo stuff in the build.prop? Probably just corrected that mistake?

Maybe it could be fixing that annoying GPS warning.
Or the auto brightness not working.

Well the update is out today. My wife's phone isn't rooted and she just got it.

HTC Releases Gingerbread Thunderbolt Kernel Source Code (2.6.35)

What does this mean for us average users?
http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
Better custom kernels for one. Not that what we have is bad, but devs have a better base to build from rather than other device kernels and lots of tweaking to find what works.
Better kernels can mean better roms as far as overall performance and efficiency.
Nice
Luke
Now i'll really have to try a custom kernel. Be nice to have the stock kernel available to flash also.
Does this help AOSP development?

It definitely means my ICS port is getting a make-over. I had almost given up because this was what was missing

Don't know if it will make a huge difference, but at least I have more to work with. For general ROM development, at least it will mean a more solid base for all the changes that have been made using franken-kernels. Should bring about a lot of more stable releases.

It is just the source code to the stock gingerbread kernel, so it depends on what is done to it.

I'm relatively sure it fixes the ShiftySonOfA exploit. I can no longer root my device with that method.
So no point installing it? I can live with that.

id just avoid it like the plague, the odds of a developer bothering to work on an exploit if it does close the hole is slim to none nowadays since most of the devs have moved on to better phones by now

I think if anyone would fix the exploit it would just be to test there skills. and say that they did.
Avoid Sprint Official Updates like the plague . Never take an Update form Sprint till your sure what it is. It's one sure fire way to get yourself into ISH.

I didnt do anything to the ota other than cook it up Stock odex. I could deodex it and post that too so its easier for people to get in there and do mods though. Its all what you all want. But a debloated bone stock optimized rom dont sound halfway bad. Even though you guys have ICS and all that good stuff, some users do like Stock optimized ( no tweaks and minor changes ) so.....................

Asus stock JB firmware for tf101

Is no one working on this? I might try if no one is.
Is porting between TFS the same as porting between phones?

Is there a reason why you wanted a stock asus build for JB, a feature or something?
You can find the stock apps here in other threads and just use one of the JB ROMs that are available.
