Random rebooting shortly after 6.0 update starting this week more often. - BlackBerry Priv

I have a priv which reboots sometimes 50 times a day, seems to be when the back middle right when holding it screen forward gets really hot. I turned on devel mode with the support personnel and systemui is all that's peaking the cpu when it freezes and then reboots.
same with safe mode, reboots too.
I am backing everything up on a new phone before I factory reset but I doubt that's going to help if safemode random reboots too.
anyone had this issue recently?
Mike

Have you recently upgraded your phone OTA (over the air) from software update in phone ?

X10i keeps crashing/ rebooting

Hey guys,
A little while ago my phone started to shut off and go into reboot loops. Now I can hardly use my phone. I can be moving to a different home screen and it'll crash and reboot. When it goes into a reboot loop my battery gets really hot. I've run the reinstalled android through the repair option from pc companion. Is my phone done? Seems like it might be a hardware issue now. Any suggestions appreciated.

Samsung galaxy s3 crashing and bootloops when not charging

Hi guys just got my s3 couple of hours ago white 16gb for sprint. I tried searching for the issue I am having and no results, so I am posting here. I did the initial android setup and everything was running fine for first 15 min and then phone keeps freezing and restarts, I did many battery pulls and same thing. It would work for min or 2 and freezes and reboots. Then I put the phone on charge and used it for several minutes and no crash.
So I unplugged the phone when the battery was at 52% after charging for more then 45 min, and same reboot issue is back. So I was wondering if anyone else having this issue.
Thanks for all your help in advance.
if you didnt flash things, which i dont even know what you would flash and how at this point, i would say its broken, and you should go get an exchange. Hopefully youre the only one with the issue, ever.
i guess you could try a factory reset, which i would assume you can do from recovery, to which you would maybe get to by powering off, and holing volume up and power(once again, just an assumption).
p.s. i am impatiently waiting untill best buy gets 32gb version in stock so i can trade in this lte evo pos.
i did many factory resets and battery pulls and same issue. so i got tired and called in for exchange, they are sold out right now but will send one out as soon it comes back in stock.
Did you do a hard reset from recovery?

any particular app installed that might be causing this? :crying:
Yes I Reset it from recovery and did factory reset 4 to 6 times, No apps installed. As soon as i start navigating through menus it freezes and then reboots. Sometimes it also freezes at sprint logo while restarting, i have owned 200+ phones never had a single android phone with this kind of Issue.

Do you have a sd card installed? If its from a older phone or s2 it might be the problem too. Back up everything in format the card then see what happens....
Thanks for all your help guys !
I fixed the issue by wiping cache partition and factory reset. Before all I did was factory reset but didn't do wipe.
No crash so far

Oneplus 2 random freezing and restarting

Hi, my op2 randomly freezing and reboots itself.
I tried diffrent roms and I used even safe mod , again again I am taking random reboot,
Anyone know how can I solve this problem?
Do you get reboots when you've done a factory restore without restoring any of the installed apps or restoring app data using Titanium Backup or some other backup software? I've experienced reboots when I did a restore of some app data using Titanium and I solved it by doing factory restore and not restoring any data starting from scratch.

Yeah still happening.
I am on stock 2.2 but also have random freezing (not reboots).
After freeze there is no way to revive it other than reboot. Mostly happens in chrome.
Also some times phone didn't wake up looks like it goes in to deep sleep so i have to restart it. These things only starts happening after 2.2 update.

Same here, Sleep of death sort of stuff.
Or what looked like app lockups.
In any event I seemed to have resolved it by upping the min CPU 1 tick.
Where I was rebooting my phone several times a day for a short period now do it every other day or so preventativly.

Now i notice that if i use my phone for a week without a restart then it gradually becomes slow and laggy(apps opening slowly, unlocking become slow) and randomly locks up for a few seconds. After that if i continue using then a time comes when phone completely froze and i hv to restart it.

This is exactly how my phone acts. Did you find a solution, or is it still just part of the OS update?

Nah didn't found any solution, its because of 2.2 update and still persist in 2.2.1, many other people also having this problem.
Waiting for android m update.
Hoping for good.?
Does it also occur on custom roms?

Bootlooping, Bluetooth issues, what do I do?

I've enjoyed this phone the entire time I've had it but in the last ~6 months it's gotten less and less reliable, to the point that it crashes and restarts itself randomly at least twice a day.
To be clear, this phone was unrooted, locked and on stock firmware when the first symptoms appeared. The first symptoms were that it would fail to connect to bluetooth in my car about once every 10 times. That became more and more frequent, then it would randomly FORGET all my bluetooth pairings and it would work for a while then progress in the same manner.
More recently it would start rebooting itself (when I wasn't even doing anything -- it would just be sitting on my desk and reboot) -- and now it has started to do this but get stuck in a boot loop.
So I figured I would take the plunge and try a new rom if everything else failed. I installed Lineage OS and so far everything has been good, but now twice it's crashed, rebooted, and been stuck in a bootloop and had to be factory reset *again*.
Is this phone just defective or is there something I can do to fix this?
Sounds like a defective eMMC chip... Not common, but hardly unheard of.
You can try going back to stock, performing a full factory reset, and add nothing but essential apps.
Otherwise, without a realtime logcat of the reboot to determine the cause, it's all speculation.

HTC 10 (verizon) reboots randomly.

This may seem like a noob thread (which it probs is) but my issue is probably rare in htc 10 phones. You see.. my htc 10 just randomly decides to reboot from time to time. I've noticed some pattern to it but it still does not help. The reboots occur randomly. Some days, no reboot at all. Other days, it reboots so many times. Reboots more noticeably while watching videos (I got the phone knowing this problem). So, a logical person might say, "Hey, why don't you reset to factory settings/why don't you flash stock ruu/use htc repair tool or sync manager." To which, I reply, "I have done literally everything I can except getting it s-off and flashing custom rom on it. And the best part? when I select repair on htc sync manager, it says, "No software available for your device""
It may be a hardware issue. Most people say that it could be related to battery. If it were related to battery, the phone would just completely shut down and restart. However, in my case, the phone hangs or freezes for about 10 seconds and is unresponsive till it finally shuts down and reboots. I've put in safe mode as well but still no luck.
I've completely gone into zen mode now. I don't watch videos anymore xD
Help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
