Just restart your phone it will be fine

i can't update my phone after downloading whole update while checking the package it shows corrupted file please download again.I already tried 4 times. any solution please???

Yeah same problem here .working on it

Well you can do it by doing a factory reset, then the update will be fine, but the update screwed up a lot of things in my phone, so I think you guys should wait a bit before updating, just my suggestion. If you can wait for the RUU (stock rom) to be available here. HTC aint like Sony, HTC is a nightmare for devs, hboot,unlock,s-off..., best part is S-off is available only paid and thats 25 bucks. If you have troubles booting up the MM then post here, If thats something I encountered I will help. I dont know is it my phone or OS or Hboot.., the temp choke restart degree is 60, and this phone gets 60 deg easily on a fresh install. Well anyway try waiting till the RUU arive. Rollback is not possible, that is the usual case, but I have flashed LP recovery fine on the same Hboot, Hboot ver seems same, well I'm new to HTC so dont know for sure.
Anyway if you have a restart issue when the screen is in "optimizing apps..." let me know.
Well about the OS, well.. doesnt seem to have much bug than what I said above.

After MM update(India) its good time to root 820u or just wait for HTC official future updates ?

Better wait till that 2 year deadline strikes, anyway root on desire 820 now doesn't seem to have that much advantage anyway (without S off) and since the user base is low the OTA update zips wont be here that fast neither will be ports,mods.., once 820's forum gets more devs... you can root it, its an easy task anyway. So my suggestion would be,- dont root unless its an absolute necessity now.
There might be a few small updates since Android 6 just hit the device, so wait a bit more, am quite sure we wont be getting the next OS, so let those bug fixes come through. And most of all let the stock rom hit xda.

Updated successfully.

Part 1/2 downloaded for my HTC desire 820 dual sim, still waiting for part 2/2. when i check it says phone is up to date. any idea what is going on. thanks...

Maybe hTC has pulled the update due to some reasons cuz' many people here on xda were already reporting this problem.

[HOW TO]Update GS3 to Official JB update using Kies-India. No Warranty issues.

The JB update just started rolling out in India a few days back and this method helps you update your Galaxy S3 to the official JB release using Kies(Easiest and the safest way) Though people over at this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33921598#post33921598 ) do say the servers are sometimes down and I personally think this was take a LOT of time.
Also, This should work in India, GS3 owners in other countries(GLOBAL + US VERSIONS) can give this a try to check whether they have the update or not. No harm done either ways.
I'd like to thank jshashwat93 for this method as I saw his post on the aforementioned thread and that's how I got my update.
NOTE: This method is pretty safe until you don't remove the phone from your computer while it's updating in Download mode. So if you do somehow manage to screw up your Device, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE
Here's how it goes:
1. Disconnect your phone from the computer, if you have it connected and start Kies.
2. Click on Help->Check for updates. This Updates Kies. It's required for Updating the Firmware of your phone.
3. After this is done, you might want to restart Kies, and from here on, we shall get to the Update process.
4. Go to Tools->Firmware Upgrade and Installation.
5. It should ask for your Model No. Enter: "GT-I9300".
6. Now it should ask for your Serial No. as Shown in the 2nd picture attached.
7. Now power off your phone and remove the back cover and then the battery.
8. The battery compartment has the IMEI number and the serial number near the Barcode. You require the Serial number.
9. The serial number is written as "S/N: XXXXXXXXX". That's an 11 character number. Write the "XXXXXXXXXXX" in the Serial Number field in the Kies pop up. (Do not write the 'S/N:/ Part)
10. Non Indian users, this is the step that makes it or breaks it for you, the next screen shows you whether or not there is an update for you and from here on, the software will download some files(Shouldn't take long)
11. After a few agreements, you should see the software now asking you to attach your phone in Download mode.
12, Make sure your phone has at least 80% battery because I am not sure whether the battery is charged in Download mode or not. And this step might take a while. The phone, from here, SHOT NOT BE DISCONNECTED or you will spoil your phone(Brick i even. Don't know the consequences)
13. By now you must havee seen that all settings and apps will be erased(In one of the agreements) so it's better to back up your data. ALTHOUGH, here's the interesting part, after my update, I saw all the apps and EVERYTHING was carried forward as it is so cheers to SAMSUNG for that.
14. ALright, Power off your device and press and hold the VOLUME DOWN+HOME BUTTON+POWER BUTTON to enter the download mode.
15. The phone should now display a warning(Check image). Press the volume up button to Continue.
16. You are now in download mode.
17. Connect your phone to your computer and start the installation(The onscreen instructions will guide you. I couldn't post screenshots because I have already updated my phone. Sorry)
18. Sit back and relax this may take a while I left it overnight and slept like a baby(LOL). Though make sure, YOU DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR PHONE
19. You should have Jelly Bean after the update is done. No need to restart or anything as for me, it was already rebooted. And all my apps were carried here. Works absolutely perfectly. CHEERS Samsung
NOTE: This does not void the Warranty because it's been updated through Kies. So if something DOES go wrong, and you can't find a way to solve it on XDA, you can always get it repaired. Still, Don't blame me if the guy won't repair your phone.
Have fun with your new Update. Cheers
If I helped in anyway, Which I hope I did, HIT THE THANKS BUTTON INSTEAD OF JUST SAYING IT!!!!!!
Doesn't work mate.I tried it and I am from india. Nowhere is jb update available in india......also kies is the weirdest app ever...says no update...I tried everything you just mentioned...God knows if indian users will get it in this month or maybe next year(4.1.1)...as of 4.1.2 and multi window ,its like just give up,samsung is too busy to roll out updates...
No Update
Same here, no update yet. Neither OTA nor via kies....I confirmed from my friends across the country who have S3, they too don't see the update yet.

Can't be. I live in Pune and I updated it just yesterday. Its working just fine for me. Try to see if your lies is updated or not. And probably it hasn't been rolled out for your location. Samsung, at least in the US releases OTA updates specific to locations. Might be the same case here. Oh and this only works on the stock ROM. What error are you getting?

I'm Indian too man. And I am on 4.1.1 just updated last night. I guess ota is rolled out to specific regions at a time so their servers don't crash so I don't expect people getting otas soon. Kies by default doesn't give an update either. This method is the only way to get it right now if you have it
got it...finally updated to 4.1.1

You entered in Caps "GT-I9300" right?
See the screenshot. And check whether you entered the Correct Serial Number. All should be in caps and do not add the "S/N:" in the beginning.
So did anyone in Kolkata get the OTA update?
Also, this method probably woks but due to my slow internet connection, I don't know if I can stare at my phone that long being in download mode.

It works partially for Poland (T-mobile). It found an update, installed it, but the 4.1.1 for polish T-mobile version is surely broken. I haven't got bar at the top of the screen (the one with battery usage, time) and I couldn't set wallpaper (only black screen as background). I'm not an expert with this but I think it have something to do with odexed/deodexed ROM in the update.
I had the same issue when tried to manually install first leaked JB OTA. Good thing I could root phone and restore backup.
BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE TRYING THIS METHOD!

M9 Developers Edition 5.1 update Up.

Hi Everyone, my Developers Edition M9 just got updated to 5.1 version 2.8.617.4.
Happy 4th.
Chingonazo
Yep. I believe this is the OTA URL for the dev edition (from 1.32.617.30 to 2.8.617.4) if anyone wants it.
It looks like the firmware isn't up on HTC's download page yet, but I think the Sprint one is.
Mine too
Initial thoughts after just a few minutes of playing with the camera and a few other things, camera launches much faster and pictures look more detailed and consistent. Phone feels smoother and more responsive when double tapping to wake it. If people continue complaining about the M9 after this update then there is no pleasing them. This is why I keep coming back to HTC. I will not fall for the gimmicks that other brands are selling. I will report back if I find anything else of significance.
Chingonazo
I don't have the developer edition of the M9, but I do have the Unlocked edition from HTC and I can confirm I just got the same update about 30 minutes ago.
Mine will not finish update . It keeps aborting. Can someone please be kind enough to make an ruu zip ? The exe way don't work on my PC. I have to do the sd card/0PJAIMG.zip way. Thanks

What issues are those? I've seen very few reports of those types of issues with the 3rd gen. Obviously, those things happens to a small portion of users on almost every Android phone.
screen on time is decent, but could be better. I'd love to find a permissive kernel I could tweak...anyone up for it??
Im still running the release version firmware. Had night mode since release so i wonder apart from stagefright what the UK release will bring?

my personal experience with an 8gb model was a hot skillet in just 3 minutes on wifi or lte network plus doing some search i found a lot of users reporting the same issue so its not a very small percent it is a known issue maybe some users dont report it or dont care about it but it really gets hot. maybe some batchs maybe the 8gb model who knows!
every phone have small issues some related to hardware some related to software thats why i asked if the upgrade fix this one
but a phone that turns in to a hot skillet its not safe to use.

This OTA does not load itself if you have a custom recovery. To avail of this OTA the phone should have the STOCK recovery.
Unlocked bootloader does not matter, but being on STOCK recovery is must for the update to recognize the fingerprint and load the OTA.

No worry. Here is the solution. Flash STOCK firmware....

US carriers seem to be much slower pushing out updates. Since they mostly use foreign support it makes little sense. I work for the same company as my carrier, but different division and word I have is they aren't pushing out the update for this phone because the phone isn't in their list of devices yet. BTW, I'd be curious if anyone actually knows someone that got the stagefright bug. You have as big a chance to get struck by lightning as you are in getting stagefright. Anything with Kit Kat or later makes it almost impossible for stagefright to replicate on their phone.

The Moto G 3rd gen is sold in the US fully unlocked with no carrier branding. So the carriers don't push out the updates. Motorola generally pushes their updates to India first but the US usually comes soon after.

The right procedure would be
Make a backup of all your data, contacts, apps etc using Huawei hisuite.
Download the firmware you want to upgrade to and extract to get UPDATE.APP
Copy it to a folder named dload in your SD card and press and hold power, Vol up and Vol down until phone boots up. Let go of power after booting but keep other two pressed for five six sec more.
It will do a forced upgrade and you will lose all your stuff. Boot into Android, update Huawei backup app and restore your backup using hisuite and you are done.
Hope it helps.
looks clear.
Thank you very much muradulislam
Still in beta. It's not a big of a change from lollipop
sorry folks but after reviewing all my experience with MM (B380) i recommend to update with Lollipop B180 (B190 if available) only!
With B380 it is possible, that you will get some trouble with it! At the moment, B380 was removed from the support side of HONOR!
Maybe it has a reason!
That's a bit sad to hear. But it's full of sense. Thank you.

At least, if the problem with notification is resolved. It would be a sufficient reason [emoji2]

Most of the users that i know (me included!), did not confirm that!
i own two Honor 7. I tried MM on one of them for four weeks. After this period, i have done a rollback to B190 Lollipop.
Since this moment, all my problems are gone! I could not believe, that HONOR will bring us an trouble-free version of MM.
Really strange that Huawei remains unable to deliver a clean Os. Such a big company with that quality of phones !

i didn’t understand your friendly offer! I had used MM on my phone, so i was able to install MM on it! But i have get the same notification problem with "WhatsApp"
as the other users have reported here! And some of my apps have stopped their work during the night. I had protected these apps against termination in the energy manager, but it doesn't help! I think, it is a problem of the build in MM "deep sleep" functionality! And yes, i had made a factory reset in the beginning of my experiences.
But thx anyway!

You should always flash new updates using Huawei suite for PC as it always works. Make sure to flash stock Boot and Recovery if rooted before proceeding.
Cheers!

Once you get the notification for system update on your phone, it will automatically be available on Hisuite.
Make sure to back up user data before flashing any update as you may need to manually perform a factory reset before using the new update. I own an FRD-L14 US version and i am on the latest update for my model thanks to Huawei Pc suite. All other methods always fail after 5 - 10%.
To update using Hisuite, simply launch the PC software and click on update after properly connecting your phone. I have been referring to only the PC version as i can't vouch for the phone software.
NB: Don't forget to flash stock boot and recovery if you've modified your device prior to using Hisuite otherwise it'll fail after reboot to recovery.
Best of luck, Cheers!

thanks for awesome guide i will definetly try this:good::highfive:
You will get the OTA some weeks later. Until then, you will not be able to flash the update through any official means (like using HiSuite, TWRP, erecovery, etc.). If your bootloader is unlocked, try my "Flashing unapproved Firmwares" guide for Honor 8 in Guides section. It will work flawlessly.
Did anyone already successfully manage to install e.g FRD-L19C432B399 ?
I tried dload, Red_lotus and flashing with FRD_RECOVERY_NoCheck.img
Yet it always tells me "installation failed" Is there anything i can do to get it work?
I am coming from B398 and need this battery optimization update or I will sell my phone..

i took the day to reply because i wanted to play it safe before i tell you how battery life is.
i've been getting 12+ hour battery life on my usual days, if i'm out and about doing things i last 10ish hours.
the update seems to be a little better on the battery side, but november patches are nice as well.

Nice to hear about it. For 12h you mean global usage or screen time? Anyway I sent my phone for battery replacement. We'll see when it comes back

sorry about the late reply, but yes 12hr battery global. for screen on time i get 4-5hrs usually, i just got this phone a few months ago as a FRD-L04. i rebranded because of how slow updates come out on the L04, which was my real only complaint with this phone. battery life is awesome and emui is sleek and nice compared to other OEM android roms.
i don't really care for much about SOT because my whole goal is to minimize that as much as possible. i use a moto 360 daily so most of my notifications are going to my watch and my phone stays in my pocket.
other than that, this update is just a security patch.
