Camera stopped working - Zenfone 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently I unlocked the bootloader on my ZF5 to flash a modded cm 13 ROM, but after that I found out that the camera stopped working. I know somehow it is happening because I unlocked the bootloader incorrectly. I searched many solutions but any of them corrected the problem. When I open any camera app, all I see is a black image. Some one please help me with this. Thx.

The only fix...
Dude, i have that problem too. No custom rom can fix our camera as we have Zen5(A500CG/A501CG) with different hardware models. Most of the zen5 devices work fine after unlocking bootloader but my friend....our cameras won't work if we unlock bootloader. I have tried each and every methods to unlock and each and every custom rom available over the net but no luck. Camera remains black/dark/blank. The only solution is to revert back to stock OS. Start flashing with this version UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user.zip, otherwise the camera won't work in stock too.
If u want to stay on custom rom(as im doing right now, i love CM), then install pixelmaster camera from play store, turn ON flash, set focus to INFINITY.......the camera will be blank but at least it will capture images.

The proper way to revert back to stock is as below:
1. Download ADB folder and extract: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-Fin8UxrD6PUmN6SkVPMXR3UTA/view
2. Download UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user.zip(for WW model only ) and copy to ADB folder: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Ze...ser.zip?_ga=1.182320871.1398112610.1460908265
3. If you have other than WW model, please search and download the UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user.zip here: https://www.asus.com/id/support/Download/39/1/0/2/96nqlxHp1VKV4Rdz/32/
4. Extract the fastboot.img, boot.img, and recovery.img files from the downloaded rom/zip file and copy to ADB folder
5. Reboot your device to bootloader. Turn off device > press volume up+power button together > after asus logo appears, release power but keep vol up pressed > you are in bootloader mode. Go to ADB folder and open command window(CMD) there by pressing shift+right mouse click
6. Run this commands,
Code:
fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
wait for reboot...
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
7. Now select recovery from the fastboot menu and wait for reboot to recovery
8. In the recovery select wipe/factory reset data, this may take some time
9. Then select wipe cache
10. Then select apply update from ADB
11. Run this command,
Code:
adb sideload UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.21.40.30-user.zip
12. Let it be installed. It will take around 10mins, then reboot system.
13. You will find kitkat is installed.
14. Download UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.22.40.54-user.zip, UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-3.24.40.78-user.zip, UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-3.24.40.87-user.zip from this link for your model: https://www.asus.com/id/support/Download/39/1/0/2/96nqlxHp1VKV4Rdz/32/
15. Copy the UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.22.40.54-user.zip file into your SDCard/internal storage, then disconnect usb cable. Your phone will detect an update and proceed with the update.
16. Do step 15 for other two files as well. Please follow the sequence of the files, otherwise the update will fail.
17. Enjoy stock lollipop on your zen 5.
Hope it helps.

If the firmware flashing is successful, just follow the steps. Don't read or worry about anything in the console. Please follow the firmware up-gradation version as I mentioned, otherwise it will fail.

Btw, did you check the how many cores online with your kernel from kernel adiutor?
If you use hotplug as governor, camera won't start and you need 4 of 4 cores.

Man, so this is a error on a Drive ?!
So, why the mans can put the Asus camera on the roms, or, can fix this ?
I think this is a driver error and can be solved ?

It's not a driver error. Many developers have already ported Asus Pixelmaster camera with their ROMs and with proper drivers as well. The main problem is, there are few Zen5 devices which use camera api in a different manner like mine. Cyanogenmod source doesn't have it's api calls as per these certain devices needed. As most of the custom ROMs are based on CM, so none of them could make camera working. It's basically a firmware issue which is still unresolved.

So we can't use any roms :c

lolz.....no bro, we can't. If u really want to use custom ROM, then install Pixelmaster camera and use with this settings:
Go to settings>Resolution to 8MP>focus to infinity>turn on flash>Optimization ON>Anti-shake Auto>Image quality FINE.
This setting will at least capture images but the screen will be black. After taking the first image, u will see the camera screen but with very low light/brightness. It won't help much though. Honestly, I have tried all the custom ROMs over the net.If u want, u can. Good luck.

Working! How to root Tablet Z 10.4.B.0.577 [for UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER only]

Hi friends, I've found a way to root 10.4.B.0.577 android 4.3. Please see the instructions below:
Prerequisite:
1. Download SuperSU flashable at: http://download.chainfire.eu/351/
2. Download extract the boot.img from CM10.2 (attached as well)
3. Download the install fastboot
Steps:
1. Flash the stock ROM of 10.4.B.0.577
2. Put the Tablet Z in fastboot mode (press and hold Vol+ when inserting USB cable)
3. Open a console where the fastboot.exe is located, type
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
4. Keep pressing Vol+ for a few times it boots up
5. Install SuperSU as normal
6. Power off the device
7. Flash the stock ROM of 10.4.B.0.577 again BUT EXCLUDE the SYSTEM
8. Boot up and you will have the SuperSU installed
My device is unlocked, I'm not sure if this works for locked bootloader as well. Try at your own risk! This method should work for both WIFI and LTE models.
[Files uploaded again, change 001.boot.zip to boot.zip.001 and do the same to 002 unzip]
This method works fine but only with unlocked bootloader as if you are locked you cant flash boot.img from fastboot

Sorry for asking again, I'm new and I'm struggling with this. I tried to follow your steps (my tablet is a SGP312). I followed the steps, but I'm not sure if the ZIP file with SuperSU has to be downloaded to the tablet or what, as in step 5 you say "install SuperSU as normal". Does that mean through play store ? Directly from the file ? If it´s from the file, how ?
When I tried this in my tablet, after flashing boot.img and rebooting, I got a loader screen where I selected add super used, rebooted, and then... the tablet didn´t start again. It gets stuck in the initial booting screen with the color lights passing.
Also, I noticed that after the fastboot reboot, the message that I got in the loader mentioned SGP311, not 312. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I think through the fastboot reboot, pressing the vol up. When I tried it before I entered in some kind of boot menu, with one option been "install from zip" or something like that but I didn´t try it.
I tried entering in it again and clicked on factory reset hoping that would do a cfresh install, but I still have the same issue: when powering up the tablet it keeps displaying the intro (the color lines) endlessly

you have to follow the guide!! at the step u flash boot.img and restart the tablet you must press rapidly many times to enter the boot menu. There u chose install from zip and find the file SuperSU.zip (i recommend u to use external sd card to save the SuperSU.zip file). When it finish u go back and find the ''Advanced'' option on the boot menu, u press it and then press power off. Then flash the stock ROM of 10.4.B.0.577 again BUT EXCLUDE the SYSTEM!!!

Thanks for your help. Actually I managed to do it pretty much as you said) except the advanced -> power off, which I didn´t know: I assumed that was the way to access the boot menu, and to install Super SU, so I copied the ZIP into my external SDCard, did all the steps, and my tablet came back to life... with SuperSU installed
Lucky me I did a full backup following another guide, because in my desperation to bring my tablet back to life I did a full wipe out / factory reset (which btw didn´t solve anything).
Thanks for your replies and apologies if my questions seemed dumb... It's been many years since I "almost" break a device and lost all the data

Sorry just realized that XDA did not allow .001 and .002. Please download them again, change 001.boot.zip to boot.zip.001 and do the same to 002 to unzip. Alternatively you can download CM10.2 and extract the boot.img from the zip.

Hello,
At this guide u flash boot.img from CM10.2 ROM (Step 3). At the end you have to reflash the new firmware so the boot, kernel etc change, because if u stay with CM10.2 u will get bootloops!!

If you unlock bootloader you can't use music info download and Bravia engine also. Although, I unlocked my bootloader and I followed your guide rooting successfully my Xperia Tablet Z SGP311 with .577 firmware. I used the latest flashtool to unlock the bootloader!!
When I finished all the process of rooting the music info didn't work so I tried to relock the bootloader with flashtool!! I did and guess what!! I have root with locked bootloader, stock firmware and working music info download!!!
You can make a guide that everyone with his own ftf can root his device just unlocking and locking the bootloader!!
The process must be done strictly with flashtool cause it keeps the keys for the relock!!!

for me it's happen after i install TWRP, doesn't matter what TWRP version i install,
but it's can be fix.

the problem is if you got TWRP installed, after fixing you got your camera back but you lose the TWRP.

Thanks for write your first post to solve my problem
Story of my asus: the phone was working properly, once it fell and the glass broke so I waited for the new glass and when I repaired it, the camera was not working anymore. I tried to reconnect and everything but nothing, the only cause can be an update before or after as has happened to many.
I'll try your method as last chance on software issue because i never flashed in .87, if it doesn't works i'll buy a new camera and lets see. I tried every software fix in the web, maybe it really broke when it fell.
It happens when u unlock ur bootloader
@Blak3n.........I had this issue several times. It's nothing serious and happens when u unlock ur bootloader to flash any custom recovery. This is the only fix if you face the "NO CAMERA" issue for unocking.
Please follow the below instructions:
1. TURN OFF the device
2. Press and hold Volume Up+Power to enter to fastboot/droidboot. When the ASUS logo shows up, release the power button and keep on pressed the Volume UP button. This will take you to droidboot/fastboot mode.
3. check whether your PC detects the fastboot...
Code:

@Blak3n.........I had this issue several times. It's nothing serious and happens when u unlock ur bootloader to flash any custom recovery. This is the only fix if you face the "NO CAMERA" issue for unocking.
Please follow the below instructions:
1. TURN OFF the device
2. Press and hold Volume Up+Power to enter to fastboot/droidboot. When the ASUS logo shows up, release the power button and keep on pressed the Volume UP button. This will take you to droidboot/fastboot mode.

I know, right? Why TF does A**-US need to do s#!t like mess-up the motherboards of every 5th ZenFone 5, WTF. I'm stuck in these suckly stock ROMs while others are enjoying the feature-rich environment of the custom ROM community. Well, done A**-US. If I wanted "unhackable", I'd buy an iPhone.

You can flash custom rom but can't ensure your camera will be working as before. I have no camera issue but to me, taking snap is less important and I'm using RR rom with the camera bug. I'm fine with that. The camera is black/dark but it captures photos at least.

Naw. mine doesn't lose its camera when the bootloader is unlocked. I'm one of the owners of a ZenFone 5 that freezes/hangs then restarts randomly. Those are the only issues that affect the ZF5 users with their defective motherboards.

Well, still it doesn't work. I've tried every single method regarding that here on XDA. I've even tried those from EDA, Windroidica, and InfoBros. They all don't work.
The only method that managed to make a difference is ozank's automated script. It didn't completely stop the freezes, but I noticed that the reboots are a whole lot less frequent:
NO METHOD/OTHER METHODS - freezes about every 3 minutes. A few seconds when using any app.
ozank's AUTO-SCRIPT - freezes about every 20 - 30 minutes ONLY WHEN USING APPS. Haven't encountered the freezes when the device is on standby or daydream mode.

I'm glad to hear that some have managed to fix it. But as for me, and maybe some others, we'll just have to lay in the dust until a savior picks us up. (no religion, okay? )
Either that, or I'm switching phones.
CM 13.1
Hi.. I flashed CM 13.1 latest stable build on asus Zenfone 5 (T00F). I am facing the same camera issue. Is there any fix for this camera Issue other than Downgrade? Is there any change that can be done to system/framework/bspcapability.jar in order to make it work?
Thanks in advance.

Did you somehow kept your bootloader unlocked? There are few devices (mine as well) where the camera doesn't work if you unlock bootloader. If you port any custom ROM, you have to sacrifice your camera and vice-versa. Please relock the bootloader with a signed boot.img, fastboot.img, and recovery.img.

Thanks for suggestion. But the reasons are
First thing is stock raw image of latest version is very difficult to find.
Second thing sometime asus flash tool stops responding. So you have to wait again for 30 minutes. Also it doesn't show progress sometimes.

No offense meant. But the entire collection of raw files are here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3448966
As long as you have the correct drivers (which you need for your process too) the AFT will get the job done in one easy step.

[GUIDE] All-In-One noob friendly guide for xperia X (Root/Bootloader/Rom)

[UPDATE]: USE THIS ONLY FOR NOUGAT 7 OR 7.1! THERE IS A DIFFERENT GUIDE FOR ANDROID OREO!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-x/how-to/root-xperia-x-f5122-android-n-34-2-2-47-t3594502 (Written by YasuHamed, not me!)
If you are not interested in android Oreo, or you want to go back to Nougat, this guide is still valid! [End of Update]
This is a guide for newbies or for people that are simply confused. If you have any questions, you can always ask me, and I will reply. but please make sure you haven't made mistakes and do not ask about things that are already stated here. Let's go!
BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, NOTES
-make sure you have installed ADB : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
-make sure ADB can read your phone with the correct drivers installed. If you have trouble with that, read "DRIVERS" section
!It is absolutely necessary to install the drivers correctly!
-Backup your stuff if you have any, you will need to delete everything from the phone
-Enable USB debugging
-Note: some of these instructions apply to Windows OS only!
-Note: links to downloads have been shortcutted as much possible to make it easier for you!
-Find some stock roms here! https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-x/how-to/sonyx-f5121-downgrade-8-0-0-to-7-1-1-to-t3754986

-Warning: you will lose your warranty!
-I am not responsible for any damage done to your device.
BACKUP DRM KEYS (OR WORKAROUND)
You may want to unlock your bootloader. If you unlock it without backing up the DRM keys, you will lose them. I did that mistake and I regret it. If you already did, there is an alternative solution, skip to step 8.
1) If you are running android 7 nougat, you will need to downgrade to MM. If you are running MM, skip to step 7.
2) You will need to wipe everything before rolling back, so if you have any data back it up
3) Download any stock MM 6.0.1 firmware for the xperia X. You can find one here : https://mega.nz/#!1xRj2CYS Decryption key: !qBVi7yky8AL84eUF3bpTTGQ2YmN0ePCjc-eSDZGIZCI
Watch out: if you have the dual SIM model, F5122, you need to download accordingly!
For more firmwares, check "BEFORE DOING ANYTHING"
4) Download the latest flashtool: http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Upon installation, tick on fastboot, flashmode drivers! If it didn't ask you, go to the installation folder and run Flashtool-drivers.exe. Please read "DRIVERS" section!
5) Flash the .tft file
How to flash?
0. Go to "C:\Users\[Your PC Name]\.flashTool\firmwares" , and put your firmware .ftf file in there!
1. Open Flashtool and click on the lightning bolt icon (first one from the left)
2. In the prompt, choose flashmode.
3. Under firmware, click on the version you put (It should probably only be one option)
4. Under wipe , tick everything. Under the others, do not make any changes.
5. Click "Flash"
6. When the popup appears, connect your device. It needs to be powered off, and connected while you are holding the
"volume down" button.
7. Wait for it to finish.
8. Done. Boot up the device, it might take some time to open so don't worry.
Click to collapse
6)If your phone bootloops, try flashing again or a different firmware and make sure you followed the steps correctly.
7) Once your phone successfully boots android MM, use Dirtycow to get your DRM keys out: https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/universal-dirtycow-based-ta-backup-t3514236
8) If you unlocked the bootloader before backing up your keys, you can use DRM kernel fix. You can get it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-x/development/kernel-drm-fix-nougat-t3530849 Before using it check out the custom rom that includes this fix and other things.
UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
This is relatively easy and you can follow official sony instructions to do it.
1) Go to your phone settings, developer options, and enable OEM unlock
"But there is no developer options!" -Go to the bottom of your settings, system, about phone, and tap multile times on "Build Number", also at the bottom.
Click to collapse
2) If you haven't already , install ADB fastboot and configure drivers (Link on top )
3) Follow the steps on the Sony website to get your unlock code: https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/email-verification/
4) After unlocking, a warning message on boot is normal!
INSTALL RECOVERY
Installing TWRP on your xperia X is very important, since you can flash zips and img files so easily, plus wipe, backup and other features.
1) Download the TWRP .img file: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=197369 (Credit: eagleeyetom )
2) Make sure you have USB debugging enabled
3) Open your downloaded twrp folder
4) Run CMD in that folder (shift + right click inside the folder, Open CMD here )
5) Connect your Xperia X to your PC
6) Type these lines:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img [where recovery.img is your twrp file name]
fastboot reboot
7) If no errors, twrp is now installed. Once your phone boots , turn it off,. To access TWRP recovery hold power button and volume down button until the TWRP menu appears.
STOCK ROM, ROOT
If you just want to root and not interested in additional features and tweaks, you can simply flash SU through TWRP to get your phone rooted.
Note: Current best stock ROM available: 7.1.1 (252) - better features than older ver, and good battery life.
0) Install your desired stock firmware using the exact same previous instructions, (under DRM section) with flashtool.
1) Download SuperSu
Or magisk, using YasuHamed guide mentioned on top, but I have not tested with anything other than Oreo 8.0
Use magisk if you want more stability / root features (like hide root from apps, modules )
2) copy it anywhere on your phone
3) Run TWRP
4) Tap on install
4) Flash the file
5) Reboot, you are now rooted
6) Insert your DRM keys if you have them
Custom ROMS
After unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP this is the best way to go in order to get full root, tweaks.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-x/development/rom-xperia-x-pexorom-v1-0-0-f5122-f5121-t3590552
^ This is a very good custom ROM made by prmk74. You can see its features in his thread.
1) Download the rom and copy it to your phone
2) Run TWRP
note: It is recommended to wipe dalvik, cache, data ( your storage partition doesn't need to be wiped)
3) Tap install, find your downloaded file and execute
note: It is recommended to wipe dalvik, cache, data ( your storage partition doesn't need to be wiped)
4) Follow on-screen instructions, do not stop the booting after finishing the installation, it will take some time
5) Insert your DRM keys if you have them
6) For those who lost their keys: Now the functions like vivid image mode are working properly.
DRIVERS
For Windows 8/8.1/10 users, how to solve driver problems:
1) Press the Windows key + R together and in the ‘Run’ box type: shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00
– Now make the following selections to boot into the Start Up Setting Screen: Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Start Up Settings > Restart
– Then, when the machine restarts, select number 7 i.e. “Disable driver signature enforcement”. Your machine will start with Driver signing enforcement disabled until the next reboot.
B) Now you can install the Flashtool drivers. Go to the flashtool install location and run the drivers.exe again, check fastboot and flashmode
– Windows will warn that the driver is not signed and will require you to confirm the installation.
– Once the installation is complete, reboot the machine
TO CONCLUDE:
This is what you may want to do to get the most out of your new xperia x:
1) Backup DRM
2) Unlock BL
3) Install TWRP
4) Flash Persian (or a different rom) through TWRP (And subscribe to the thread so you receive updates)
5) Restore DRM

Thanks for this, I need some help!
All was fine until I tried flashing the recovery, comes back "partition unknown" error. I was unable to bring the device up under an adb device only as a fastboot device.
34.0.A.1.264_R3A firmware.
Different official sony driver (Sony bootloader guide driver didn't work)
Device now hangs on the Sony logo after boot messgae warning "OEM bootloader unlocked, device not trusted," any help would be appreciated.

These USB drivers are very annoying to work with. I got mine to finally work using a program called ADB driver installer. http://adbdriver.com/downloads/ Choose automated installation and try what I said. I believe it should fix your problem, after installing the drivers reboot and flash again.
Other than that, I have to ask are you 1000% sure you used the exact commands?
I saw another thread someone mistook
"flash recovery recovery.img" for "flash recovery.img"
"recovery" should be included before the recovery file name

I know, as I said there is room for improvement. The reason I did not include it is because I never did it myself, so I don't want to write something wrong or something that could lead to problems. I write something only if I am 100% sure. If anyone of you is kind to offer that piece so the guide is complete I will be glad

since there is no offcial twrp for X out yes and only DORA (XA) is available) even XA don't work for X
so either twrp 2.8, 3.0 or 3.1 any should just boot in order to let us flash superSU.

Everything is working good for me now, the only issue now is restoring the DRM keys, has anyone found a credible source for doing this on this device?
How can I be sure I have a full root? I can't seem to be able to uninstall some of the bloatware only disable it!

Well titanium backup can assure you but I don't see why you wouldn't have full root... You need an app uninstaller to uninstall bloatware, it can't be done through the settings you know that right

Unable to Boot TWRP in Recovery mode, bootloop issues

Hello guys, I'm a beginner in this flashing stuff. I have watched youtube over a guy flashing Android 10 on his Samsung note 3. I carefully took his steps and i make sure that my model is compatible with said ROM, Mine is Samsung note 3 lte (N9005), Snapdragon. The issues that i am currently having is on flashing TWRP on my Samsung Note 3, because it won't boot on recovery mode despite i press the exact button as the Video describe, it just boots in recovery and then restarted on the same logo boot repeatedly. I have tried flashing LineAgeOs using the tutorial provided by LineAgeOs team and again, i make sure that the rom is fully compatible and still end up same result. Please help me on this issue. Thank you very much for giving your time reading my problems
Please describe your issue again with more details.
From you're post, it seems as though you are having issues with TWRP. Below I will give you a full tutorial on how to get TWRP up and running for your specific device. Do give this a go, as I have done the research for your specific model, and it should work just fine.
First things first, unlock your devices bootloader. You may not have done this correctly, so if it is possbile to boot into android, then try this:
How to unlock Bootloader on Samsung Galaxy Note 3 | Softstribe
Unlocking bootloader in Samsung Note 3 made easy and you can simply enable developers mode where you can perform OEM unlock.
softstribe.com
If you're bootloader is already unlocked, then proceed.
Now that the bootloader in unlocked, we need to install TWRP for your specific device. Your device is the N9005, which is the international snapdragon model. It's codename is hlte, or hlte*. For TWRP, it is also categorised as the Europe/American model (hltexx).
For flashing TWRP correctly to a samsung device, we will need odin. Odin is a flashing software for samsung devices.
Download Odin.zip from here:
Samsung Odin - Root Android download page for one click root
Samsung odin download - Root android and oneclickroot for flash / install custom ROM with one click root method
odindownload.com
(Download the latest version (v13.4.1 at the time of writing this)
Now, extract Odin.
Once we have Odin downloaded, we will need to install the correct usb drivers for Samsung phones.
Download the file below, then extract the zip and run the installer:
Samsung_USB_Driver_v1.7.31.0
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
Now that odin and the drivers are ready, we need the actual twrp image which we need to flash to our device.
Here is the link, download the latest .img.tar file (3.6.1_9-0 at the time of writing):
Download TWRP for hlte
Download TWRP Open Recovery for hlte
dl.twrp.me
Do not download the normal .img file, as that cannot be flashed via odin.
Now that we're past the prerequisites, we need to actually flash twrp to your device. To begin, we must put your note 3 into download mode. To enter download mode, power off your phone completely and then press Power+Home+Vol Down at the same time and keep these three buttons pressed until your phone shows a "download mode, do not power off target!!!" screen, you can follow this video tutorial below:
Now that we are in download mode on the device, we need to get back to our computer and configure odin to flash twrp. First things first, open odin. Now, connect your phone to the computer. You should see a little "COM-" show up in one of the empty boxes in the top row under the word "ID:COM". This is good, it means that your pc successfully recognises your device.
Now, go to the options tab on the left side, makse sure that repartition is UNCHECKED. Now, click on the "AP" button, and navigate to and select the TWRP.img.tar file that you downloaded earlier. After you have selected it, click on start at the bottom right. Now it will begin to flash twrp, which should not take long. Make sure that you do not disconnect the device while flashing, wait for the phone to complete. Once it is done, the phone will reboot.
Now, just remove the battery, then put it back in. To enter TWRP recovery, keep Power+Home+Vol Up pressed, then once you see the samsung boot logo upon the phone powering on, let go of power, but keep home and volume up pressed.
Congrats! You've just flashed TWRP to your device, amazing!
Now you can go and look for custom roms to flash to your device. Since your model is the N9005, look for hlte/hlte* roms, don't use any roms if they don't support the hlte/hlte* variant.
Alright, now since you have mentioned that you want to use lineage os, here's a guide for that too.
So currently, it is recommended to use android 11 lineage os nightly builds as they are stable and official, so they should not have any bugs. So unfortunately, I cannot recommend installing lineage os android 10, as you had originally wanted, though the installation process for that will be somewhat similar. It is still not recommended to use old or unofficial builds due to bugs and lack of security updates.
First, we need to download lineage os for this device onto our pc, here's the link to the latest nightly build:
https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/full/hlte/20220319/lineage-18.1-20220319-nightly-hlte-signed.zip
Next we need to download a GApps package for google play functionality. OpenGApps is recommended as it is open source, secure and reliable, usually with no bugs. I recommend using the nano package instead of pico if your device can handle it (your's can handle it just fine), as it contains google play functionality, and some extra google features which cannot be downloaded from google play. Here is the link to the nano package for your device (only for android 11 roms):
https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm/20220215/open_gapps-arm-11.0-nano-20220215.zip/download?use_mirror=udomain&r=&use_mirror=autoselect
Now, if you want to get your device play protect certified, you will also need to download magisk for rooting, and magisk modules (so that you can download netflix and use banking apps etc.), but that is something you can do later on, and you can find any tutorial online for this.
Once the download is complete, move the lineage and opengapps .zip files to an sd card and insert it into the phone. Enter TWRP, go to wipe and click on Advanced. From here, wipe System+Data+Cache+Dalvik/ART Cache. Your files such as photos and media will not be wiped.
Next, go back to the TWRP main menu and select install. Click the select storage button at the bottom left and click on Micro SD Card. Now, click on the lineage os zip file, then click on the Add Zips to Queue button and select the opengapps zip file, then click install. This will take some time, do not interrupt it. Once it is complete, you can reboot the phone. The first reboot will take some time, and the first boot may be slow, after setting up your device, make sure to reboot it at least once.
Congrats, you've just installed a custom rom with google play functionality via TWRP!
Unfortunately, sometimes there are issues. If you still cannot get into lineage os despite waiting at least 10 minutes on the boot screen, then follow these steps below:
The lineage team says that booting issues may be due to incompatible recoveries, this means that we will have to use lineageos's own recovery to flash the rom.
For this, download the lineage os recovery.img from here:
https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/recovery/hlte/20220319/lineage-18.1-20220319-recovery-hlte.img
Now copy this image file to your sd card and insert it into the phone.
Enter TWRP. First of all, click on wipe, then click on advanced and select System+Data+Cache+Dalvik/ART Cache and wipe. Now, go back to the main menu and click install. At the bottom right or left, there will be a button to "Install Image". Click on that button, and select the lineage recovery zip file and install it. Now go back to the main menu and click on the reboot button, then click on reboot to recovery.
Now you will boot into the lineage os recovery, from here you can install lineage os and the gapps zip files. Here is a tutorial:
This tutorial is for a oneplus phone, but it will be the same process on your samsung device.
Once it is complete, you can restart the device. If you would like TWRP back after flashing, just follow the steps from my first post and use odin to flash the twrp file again. I recommend that after installing lineage os, flash twrp again, as twrp recovery is much better than lineage recovery, and you dont need lineage recovery after installing lineage os.
If I helped you out, please mark my post as the solution, Thanks!

I did exactly with all your instructions. The end result is still the same that it won't boot TWRP after flashing, I don't really understand what the heck is wrong with my Samsung Note 3 Hlte. However i did try again with Lineageos Recovery, heck same thing too! This is really frustracting man, it just restarted itself and goes into normal boot.

Did you follow my instructions from the beginning, using the files I linked, instead of your own?
How did you even try lineage recovery if you can't boot into TWRP? You need to boot into TWRP to flash lineage recovery..
HECK, how did you even flash lineage os if you can't boot into twrp???
Please answer these questions, as it is literally impossbile to do what your doing without entering twrp.
Just follow my instructions step by step, using only the files I linked, then tell us what happens.
I think your problem is that you aren't even entering recovery mode. You need to keep Power+Home+Volume Up pressed, then once the samsung logo appears, wait for 2 seconds and let go of power, without letting go of home or volume up. Now keep home and volume up pressed, eventually you will boot into twrp.
If you can't get into twrp, it means that you didn't flash it correctly, in which case make sure that your bootloader is unlocked.
It is also possible that your devices buttons or broken or something, in that case, download platform tools from here:
https://magiskupdate.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/platform-tools_r31.0.3-windows.zip/
Next, download and install adb and fastboot drivers from here:
Download in progress... - My USB Drivers
Preparing your download... Please wait...! Facing issues downloading the file or the download link is broken? You can report us here.
myusbdrivers.com
Install the drivers, then reboot. After that, extract platform tools and open the folder. Note the location of the folder (e.g. C:\Users\Name\Downloads\platform-tools). Now open a command prompt window (cmd), then type:
cd location of platform tools folder here
e.g.
cd C:\Users\Name\Downloads\platform-tools
Now, boot your phone into download mode (power+home+vol down), then connect it to the pc. Type:
adb reboot recovery
and
fastboot reboot recovery
This will force your device to boot into recovery, if your device still doesn't boot into twrp, then you have incorrectly flashed twrp to your device. If that's the case, please carefully follow my instructions from the first post, using my linked files only.

I did follow your instructions using your own files that you provided for me. I did press Power + Home + volume up exactly as you told me to and let go of power button and keep pressing Volume up and Home, It just won't boot correctly into Twrp and restarted itself. There is alternative than using TWRP which is Lineageos Recovery os, i flashed that on my Samsung Note 3 HLTE, but it also don't work as well. However the link you sent to me right now is broken. Mind sending new one?
i forgot to mention one thing, i already unlocked the bootloader on Devs setting by turning on USB Debugging. There is no saying about bootloader option. I'm 100% sure i am doing it correctly. I downloaded literally everything from you and did as the instruction told. Even when i keep pressing Home + Volume up, it goes into bootloop without any successful attempt into booting twrp correctly and once i let go of Home + volume up button will boot my Samsung note 3 hlte into Normal boot and work as normal.
there should be an oem unlocking option in developer options. you need to select that, then reboot into downlaod mode and confirm to unlock your bootloader. To check it if it is unlocked, boot into download mode and send a picture of the text which it shows at the top right here on this forum and ill be able to confirm it for you.
N9005 does not have a locked bootloader .
Check its actually a N9005

Twrp 2.8.70 is too old to read modern custom rom, it seem that i can't flash Lineageos 18.1 at all. That's what i mean, although Android 7.1 Lineageos seem to work out on my samsung note 3 hlte
flash 2.8.70, then install a 3.3x image via twrp's "install image" option in the install menu
