bigger contact picture when receiving/during call - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

is there any xposed module or mod for the edge that makes the contact picture full screen or atleast a bit bigger when receiving/during calls?
edit: i've seen apps that can do that but none of them look nice enough

I'd sure like to know this too.
In call picture is indeed very small.
It should be called an in call thumbnail instead.

i guess there isn't anything

even after 4 more months, still same question. Do we have an answer?

Try Full Screen Caller Id from playstore

try this: download picture to the phone- tap it to open with galery -more- set as contact picture. Test it.

Only works if the phone is unlocked on the s7. If the screen is locked, it just does its normal old call screen. Save your money.

Try out XBackground Xposed Module
I didn't test it yet on our device but I was going to do the same once I had time and backups ran
I think I must be the only person that actually likes the white dialer.

You can try an xposed theme if you haven't already. Some of these will change the dialer. It will also theme other stuff so that may be good or bad depending on your taste.
If interested, check the xtheme thread in the Android Theme section.
Tried xtheme. Works for system menus and what not but not dialer. thanks for the suggestion

it was from a stock Samsung build so it worked and looked great.
i wonder if something just like this exist for the N3?

[WIP 5/3/14] CSC Feature edits for GS5

CSC Features are cool because you can enable little features that are for whatever reason turned off by Samsung. Here are some that I have found across the internet.
A.) PLEASE MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE MESSING WITH THIS!! Either make a backup in recovery, or make a backup of your feature.xml by copying the original/unedited to your SD Card.
B.) Download a root browser and grant it root permission.
C.) Go to system/csc/feature.xml
D.) Find the lines that you wanna change, and change it to what I have underlined/bolded. OR some are not in there and you can just add those lines right in (lines that are not in that can just be added will be highlighted in blue). Make sure the new lines are between <FeatureSet> </FeatureSet> . Now it's time for the features that can be enabled:
1. Enable call duration in call log: <CscFeature_Contact_DisableCallDuration>false</ (thanks to @eyecon82)
2. Enable camera shutter sound on/off menu: <CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
3. Add an exit menu to the stock web browser: <CscFeature_Web_AddOptionToTerminate>true</CscFeature_Web_AddOptionToTerminate>
4. Enable infinite scrolling in home screen and app drawer: <CscFeature_Launcher_DisablePageRotation>false</CscFeature_Launcher_DisablePageRotation>
5. Enable scheduled message: <CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>true</CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>
<CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMsgBox>true</CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMsgBox>
6. Enable prompt to select recording mode: <CscFeature_Camera_CamcorderEnablePromptPopupToSelectRecMode></CscFeature_Camera_CamcorderEnablePromptPopupToSelectRecMode>
7. Enables Rotation control icon in Gallery: <CscFeature_Gallery_AddAutoRotationIcon>true</CscFeature_Gallery_AddAutoRotationIcon>
8. Stock browser requests Desktop site by default: <CscFeature_Web_EnableDesktopSiteAsDefault>true</CscFeature_Web_EnableDesktopSiteAsDefault>
E.) When done make sure you save the changes, and reboot.
F.) ENJOY!
Gonna be working hard on this tonite peeps to ensure which ones are working and which are not... just gotta get thru stupid work first! -__-
Expect a nice update tonite peeps. PLEASE if you know anything about this stuff, feel free to add on!

Any idea if the radio can be disabled/enabled thru csc features? In Australia, there is not radio on the s5. Not sure whether it's a hardware or software issue, but in others.xml file there is a line for <CscFeature_FMRadio_FrequencySpaceAs>100</CscFeature_FMRadio_FrequencySpaceAs>

I believe with original Touchwiz home, you have to MOD the TouchwizHome.apk to have infinite scroll through pages, as seen in MOD faster touchwiz launcher thread (see Index for easy link). Works from just apk push and no csc mod.
Also, here are the screenshots I promised. Says "null" for feature but my be able to MOD but wonder what it does...

[FIX] Xposed (LP Alpha) Broke your Weather???

Get weather up and running again
Is everyone sad that they cannot have the weather app working because xposed makes it crash???
Heres a workaround.
Weather apps Extracted from the LGG4 thanks to @LastStandingDroid
Download
Weather Apps (Courtesy of @LastStandingDroid)
Instructions
If you froze the weather apps you should unfreeze/defrost first.
-Extract the package to reveal 1.LGWeather 2.LGWeatherService 3. LGWeatherTheme
-Make backup of your old folders if you wan't to revert later!
-Copy and paste corresponding folders to System/App with Root Browser
-Set Folder Permissions to rwxr-xr-x and app to rw-r–r–
-Reboot.
You will now have the G4 Weather app and widget.
I am still getting "unfortunately weather has stopped" on my f460k
Thanks works fine on my D855 Bumped 20P

Yes that might be the reason it is not working.
Defrost anything weather related and it should work.
Make sure to Defrost the weather services if you did after installing Xposed.
What about the smart notice widget.. If you install the g4 ported weather app the smart notice will FC

Smart notice, Weather and quick circle all broken with Xposed.
At the moment i am only providing instructions on how to get weather back.
Awesome work! So that I am clear, I defrost the weather related apps, then copy and paste the new ones? Do I delete the old ones, or just leave them there?

2 options.
1. Delete them and replace with new ones.
2. Copy them to your SD for backup.
They cannot both be in the system/app folder

Has anyone tried using the smart cover from the G4? Maybe with smart notice, weather, and smart cover from G4 will stop the Fc with xposed all together?? If someone can extract the files for me.. I'll test it out..
Thank you for this, it seems to be working fine, except for lockscreen animations. In settings/ lockscreen/ show weather... It asks me to "set a location or primary city in Weather" which I have already done. Any one have any idea what else I should try?

Check the link that has been sent up in the thread, it has all the information concerning Substratum. Also pay attention to which theme you download and apply, they must not rely on Android System. :good:

I only just asked lol Thank You though.
I saw that thread also but was under the assumption you themed the notifications with Substratum. The other thread is all over the place unfortunately, pretty hard to follow and find something that just themes the notifications (did you find one?) not to mention the changes with the nav-bar with regards to moving the icons for screen burn. Hopefully the OP will tidy it all up one day and list all the apps with descriptions in one place.
I actually managed to theme the notifications with it but it screwed up the tiles, I then applied a Samsung Theme and it reset the notifications to white. Have not been able to recreate this again, even after manually removing the apps, keeps telling me the app is already installed.... Still playing with it though so will see.
Thanks again!
Yeah some work, some don't...Im not rooted, obv, but I have pretty much everything blacked out with a samsung theme, substratum, and a few apk's takes some trial and error but I was able to get there. Lots of it requires reboots to add or delete.

Theme based on time of the day above notification panel
