Hey guys! Guess what? I'm currently busy on porting the Android N Developer Preview 2 ROM from the Xperia Z3 to Z2! Hope this turns out stable!

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!
For anyone or everyone saying that I'm, or that this OP is a troll, please stop. This is a WIP, and the ROM did indeed work (when I still had my PC.) I did follow a ROM port guide the first time when it was successful, but now I don't know which one it is. I have contacted some ROM porters for help so I guess that I should wait for an answer to let them help me port it. And for this ROM, it's NOT for stable use yet. This is just for people wanting to test and see if it works at all. If you have your PC at the moment then please and try to fix it yourself. (I'll add you to credits.) Anyway, sorry about the inconvenience, but please don't call me a troll becuase I'm not! �� Cheers.
BUT BEFORE DOWNLOAD, READ THE STEPS BELOW. I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEVICE BRICKS ETC. THIS ROM IS FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER PHONES ONLY HAVING MODEL NUMBER OF D6503.
Better safe then sorry. Create a ROM backup of your device in TWRP before installing the ROM in Recovery! Download ZipMe from the Play Store to backup some of your important data!
1: Download all of the files that you want to flash from the link given above and place them in the Root of your sdcard.
3: Download the updater-script FOR ROM FIX file and rename the file to updater-script.
4: Extract the ROM and replace the updater-script from the one you downloaded earlier with the one in the ROM (META-INF/google/com/android folder I think.). REZIP the ROM.
5: Reboot into recovery. Click on Wipe then "Adcanced Wipe." Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cach, System, Data, and Internal Storage.
6: Go back after finished. Flash the Android N ROM, then the Optional files. (Root, Media Apps, & And Smoother Boot Animation, backed up data etc.)
7: Flash the custom Kernel. (Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/kernel-advanced-stock-kernel-t3347413)
8: Reboot and Enjoy!!!
If anything isn't working or your stuck in a bootloop, try and flash the bootloop fix file from here: https://mega.nz/#!AJcwERiQ!FUmk6eS5aoVsFSZ1f4WZIELIt7sckPCj11n0AIdCNzU
If your still stuck in a bootloop, then the ROM may not be compatible with your device. Use Flashtool to flash back to Lollipop/Marshmallow and wait for a ROM that's compatible with your Phone.

BTW this ROM is different from the one i installed. i have managed and tried to fix some issues like the camera, but if anything isn't working then just please report it. Thanks.!
Below Are Some Problems That You May Encounter.
-The Multi-Window is EXTREMELY laggy.
-Some apps don't work such as the Beta Program App Settings. (But then again, it's expected from a port. XD)
-Recovery (TWRP) may no longer work. You can try and install a Kernel and Recovery your self, but be sure to make a Backup before risking your phone into a Bootloop.
-My Bootloader is unlocked, so I HIGHLY recommend only flashing this ROM if you have a Unlocked Bootloader. If not, wait for a Locked Bootloader version!
-No more Sony Media Apps (Walkman Music, Album, Video etc.) after flashing ROM, so flash the Sony Media Apps zip after ROM to restore the Media Apps.
-The Boot Animation is EXTREMLY slow and laggy, (5-8fps) so please flash the Smoother Boot Animation zip after ROM flashed to ensure a smoother, 30fps Boot Animation.
I haven't encountered any other problems as of now, but I will update the list if I find a bug! And once I receive a problem or bug, I will try to patch it and upload it as a Flashable zip file to fix the bug. A Screenshot of Home Screen from Z2 Android N ROM is attached below...
Once the link is given and doesn't work on your device, just tell me the problem that it's going through, give me your device details, (LB or UB device, Model number, IMEI etc.) and I'll double check the ROM and will try to make supported for your device!
As you can see in the screenshot attachment down below, i have changed some of my icons (like the app icons and status bar icons) back to stock Xperia. I wasn't a BIG fan of all of the AOSP icons.

The ROM is working pretty good so far. It isn't 100% fast and stable but it works pretty well. For the bugs, the camera is most of the time unresponsive (Probably because I forgot to change the camera settings and stuff before installing it.) The camera also sometimes force closes. As for the Multi-Window, it's almost totally unusable but I think this is because of the CPU and not the ROM. And some apps also don't work at all, such as the Beta Program App Settings, The Notification bar glitching too small etc. Hopefully i will fix these bugs before final upload! Fingers crossed. X0

Download the FTF via Xperifirm. MM's version number ends in .570.
Then flash using Flashtool. You can choose to wipe or not to wipe data if you're coming from stock lollipop. Just uncheck 'wipe data'. If you follow the steps properly, you should have a smooth upgrade to MM!
Also - could you release a version without the edited status bar icons etc?
Multiwindow maybe working when edit buildprop debug to userdebug ?

You could provide us some information what you did with the N Z3 build to make it work on Z2 so we can reproduce it. I guess you used the Z3 system image and replaced the kernel with a Z2 one. What else was needed to make it work?

This week, I have big problem with my E210L, TriangleAway kill my touch screen, and Samsung support center cannot repair without cost.

Video call problem on LG+U 210L
I've got a question
Does this rom allow you to make video calls via sim card?
Because I'm facing problems with the Chinese version version V8 it does not allow you to make video calls.
The Frequency is right but there is some internal issue with the Korean firmware that stops from making video calls.
Please try to fix the issue I'm in the United Arab Emirates.
I've attached the screen shot that shows a sign in between the speaker icon and battery signal showing video calls are disabled.
Can you look into the issue and fix plz

Ive downloaded the file but it seems there is a file missing,
You've uploaded 7 files, which i can not unzip, i have noticed that on the serial alpha count the letter G is missing
Could it be you forgot to upload the full rom files?
Right now the total combined files add up to 618 MB
Please check on the uploaded rom on folder 2.0 and if there is something wrong that doing to extract the files please do let me know

I've flashed in the new rom, that icon no longer appears but still when you try to make a video call it is rejected and. It switches to regular voice mode
Have you physically tried making a video call? Everything else works just fine.

In Aroma you have two options to begin installation. Full or Custom.
Use full for the first time in order to install the rom, after that if you want to change anything in particular use the "Custom" option. This will only install the options bellow without affecting firmware.

Choose between 4 Web Browsers
Choose between Google Camera or Lenovo stock
Choose between 3 File Managers
Choose install gapps
Choose between 2 keyboard types

Install SuperSU to get root*

Unfortunately xda-developers donesn't have XDA-DB for the K910 and when it ask to choose Project Device and Project Forum (witch is mandatory) i had to put something
I already complain about that to moderators. What can i do more?

It cannot be installed to k900. k900 and k910 are 2 complete different devices with different chipsets.
ROM seems worthy of attention.Probably already seen something like this
If you will be improved and refined, will be the best..
I tried to fix google services by Chinese installer, did not help.
I need to have a working phone, so far rom uninstalled.
Correct, and insert the fully operational.

The ROM looks great after couple of hours but I have 1 very annoying problem with this ROM: google play services, google play store and other google apps are crashing very often. Does anyone have idea, why? Wipe cache&davlik cache done. I also played with other GAPPS, but no success. I also read somewhere that xposed can cause, so I removed it also, but I run out of ideas...

Ok guys if you have had a Note 1, 2, 3 or 4 you may be familiar with my Sweet ROM series. Sweet ROM was the very first Note 4 custom rom released on either platform.
Those of you that know my Sweet ROM's from the Galaxy Notes will know I generally build a full ROM. I like to keep all the Samsung apps etc in though I do a light de-bloat of some apps available on Play Store. Users can delete what they want to lighten the ROM if they wish and know what they are doing.

[*]I used twrp recovery from HERE. The TWRP-2.8.6.2-T805/T807 version worked fine on the T805Y when flashed in pc odin.
[*]Do a nandroid backup of your current rom
[*]If you are coming from 4.4 you must flash the lollipop bootloader or the rom will not boot. I have made a .md5.tar file that you can flash in PC Odin. Download it HERE. For a quick guide of how to install it see HERE (the guide is for Note 4 but it’s the same principle)

This is a T805Y Exynos ROM. It should work on T805 but you will need to flash a T805 kernel for everything to work.
This rom is built for standard dpi. If you wish to change it that is fine but I don’t take requests to fix dpi issues
I cooked this ROM for my own personal enjoyment and it works for me. *What works for me may not work for you. I merely put together what I like and use. If you don't like it then please don't flash it or even download it as it costs me personally for file hosting.

Well I have a Galaxy Tab S 10.5 T800. Not sure if this would work or not on mine. I may get brave and try it someday.
I installed it last night. Thank you not-i, all working well so far but wont have much chance to play with it until next week now. Also installed your modem and kernel but not 3Minit battery yet.
If it possible please cook sweet rom for SM-T705, too. Thanks very much in advance for your kindness

I can but I would need a tester as I don't have the device. I might give it a go on my days off if there is further interest in it as I support 2 variants of Note 4 that I don't own too.
The testers would need to be willing to test pretty quickly after I upload though so if that's you or someone else can let me know

So, could you please include the flashable modem for T705 like your sweet rom v.14 on note 4, too.
And let I inform about some bug on the lastest sweet rom 910C/H as I found which it may occur on T705. I installed the rom for 4 days I found sometimes screen error. The screen displayed wierd icon on touch whiz. It haven't offen occured. Sometimes while turn on my device from stand by. Sometimes while I closed app and back to home screen. So, Please check this issued. Thank you very much.

If you are already on lollipop it should install and I don't include modem so you will keep your 805 modem.

So... Before one year, we were excited about getting "Nougat" and now we're talking about "Oreo" Isn't amazing?
I decided, again lol, to make a new thread about the new version of Android. I read the last few comments in nougat thread but I think will be more organized and clear if there is a new thread about it. For now, we only have one rom - Unofficial version of LineageOS but I have a good feeling about this. Soon, when everything becomes, one idea more stable, the rest will follow :fingers-crossed: . I will try to keep updated this thread with everything around Oreo

What about PiP (Picture in Picture)? How do I use it?
You can find it in Settings - apps & notifications - advanced - special app access - picture-in-picture. If you try to use Google maps and press the home button you will see its already working. And no, you cant use it for YouTube app but works with videos from Google Chrome that are not from YouTube.

Bugs you may meet in Oreo: Some users report that those things don't work, or may happen to you:
-Video recording ---> Works ONLY with Footej Camera
-Memory Card Bug
Each time restart phone it asks for setting up memory card which never goes away. The simple solution for this headache is to pause the notification for 2 hours by swiping notification.

Format your SD Card as Internal memory and you won't see any notification.
-Black screen while listening to music and trying to unlock the phone or simply when to try to unlock it
-HTC Duo Camera. Don't ask about this feature.It doesn't work on any LineageOS/AOSP based rom. Stock rom and GPE only.
PS:
Make a backup before you try anything.Need to be on the last version of the firmware (Marshmallow), and use the last version of twrp recovery - 3.2.1.0 to avoid any issues.

Last night I tested LOS 15. I can't belive how fast is it and smooth. It's even faster than Nougat. I even was wondering to try to stay with it xD But then random reboots start happening so ... I guess we will wait a litte bit xD Anyway my point was it's look very promising and its very good for alpha .
I hope you got logs of those random reboots. I was using it for three days and didn't suffer from any reboot

In TWRP go to WIPE then advance, select only SYSTEM then select repair or change file system menu. In this menu select resize partition, swipe to resize. Completed, main menu reboot - recovery
Your system partition back to normal .. you can restore your backup or install ROM
You also can do this right after you installed Oreo & gapps before you reboot. Later once you get bored, no need to repeat the process, simply restore backup or install other ROM

Last time I search I didn't find any working mod with Oreo, for now, other way I would put them in the first post. Can't say about the footej, any error?
As of now there's no audio mods that I've found to be compatible with LOS 15. I've tried all forms of V4Android, V4Arise, Deuteronomy, Ainur, Magnum Opus, HK, LITERALLY anything and everything I can find has been flashed trying to find a solution for us. Spent over 24 hours flashing mods to get bootloops or FC's. LOS 15 audio quality is good but I want the best possible sound as I listen to music on different devices "daily". I'll update here when I find something compatible or the normal mods are updated. If anyone knows of something "working" it would be great it you shared. Thanks

I don't think any audio mod will work for now until devices where the audio mod are taken from are updated/released with Oreo.
Any equalizer app in Play Store won't work too, complaining no AudioFX to work with.
A friend with N6P on stock Oreo has same problem, so it is not only M8 issue.

Nope as their previous release broke my gps app & also the mod made the black screen issue worse, frequent instead of random.

If at least the Camera2 API would have been opened, in order to be able to use other camera apps with full resolution, a hack would not have been necessary. I' m providing a complete guide here, explaining how to unlock and root the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. In addition, I offer my hack for the DRM problem. You can root your device and still use the full functionality of the camera. Please note: DON'T flash the fix of other devices/versions to your phone! There are patched system files in my fix, which are only for the related phone/version! I will create different patches for other devices and firmware versions in the future!
Sony has worked on the newer devices on the security functions and made it more difficult to crack the DRM protection. Hidden checks were implemented to make cracking more difficult. The old DRMfix by Tobias Waldvogel no longer works with newer devices. I therefore spent a lot of time (a few weeks) and cracked the protection. Since this was my first time with Sony and I had previously no experience with it, it was a very hard job for me. But okay... finally I did it. And here are my 5 cents...
##### INSTRUCTIONS: #####
Before you start: PLEASE CHECK THE RIGHT VERSION OF YOUR FIRMWARE!!!
Settings -> About the phone -> Model & Build number
Don't flash anything that doesn't match your build!

1. Unlock your bootloader
Visit: https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/ Choose "Xperia XZ" from the list of the devices (only if your device isn't listed) and follow the instructions to unlock your bootloader. Please note, that as soon as you unlock your device, your unique device keys are lost (forever!) and there is NO way back anymore!
2. Use XperiFIX to get what you want
1. Download, install and start "XperiFIX" (as administrator!)
2. Hold down the VolumeUP(+) key only and plug the USB cable to PC and mobile phone until the LED is blue.
3. Read the warning and check the checkbox
4. Click "Fix my device!" button in XperiFIX
5. Now the tool will do it's magic! Please be patient, it can take a few minutes!
Note: If TWRP ask you if the system partition should be mounted read-only, then swipe to the right to allow modifications!
6. If all is done, the device should restart.
7. Check your security status, configuration and camera.
8. Donate me a pizza or some toys for my little son, hehe...
Congratulations!
You now have an unlocked, rooted XZ Premium with my DRMpatch and can use your camera and other functions again without ugly green pictures! Wohoooo... Easy going, huh?

Can this patch bring back the device key?
No! It simulates the key and a locked device without root. If you unlock and root your device, the unique device key is gone forever! There is not turning back!
Can I use another kernel with this patch?
Yes, but only with Xperifix 2.0 and above. It will patch the ramdisk of the kernel automaticly.
Can I use the patch for other devices or versions?
No! Please don't try this! In my patch I had to fix a system file which is different between the devices and versions. If you flash the wrong version, it could brick your phone! I will create other versions of my patch for other devices, too. So be patient!
TWRP freezes and nothing happens, what should I do?
Please check if you have the correct driver for your device, installed on your PC.
I already rooted my device. Can I use XperiFIX, too?
Yes. If you used Magisk before, you can use XperiFIX without problems. Because XperiFIX will flash a new kernel which isn't pre-rooted. After that XperiFIX will flash Magisk, which will recognize your last Magisk installation. It will patch the new kernel ramdisk and all is fine. Your Magisk old settings will be there, too. If you want to use SuperSU, you can't use XperiFIX, because it's not implemented yet and I personally won't install and test it cause Magisk is running perfect on Nougat and Oreo, too!
I used XperiFIX but it gives me an error and now my device is in a bootloop!
That's not good dude. Please report what exactly you did, with all informations about your device. I will check it. To get a working device again, you can flash the firmware with Newflasher 10+.
My device doesn't respond, nothing works, it stucks in a bootloop, I can't power off?!
Just hold the VolumeUP(+) key together with the Power key. Wait until the device vibrates 3 times (!). Now it's completely off. Then you can try to go in Fastboot mode again to flash or use XperiFIX.
I have a problem, what can I do?
If your question can't be answered here in the FAQ, please post your report. Be sure to give all needed informations. Which device, which firmware version, what you exactly did, ... Without details, nobody can help you!

If your patch contains patches system files wouldn't it make sense to create a simple magisk module, to keep it systemless?

If I have some free time, I will write a guide for this. It's a little bit tricky, because you have to understand the reversed code. But I try to create a universal patch.

It's just a modified kernel and a patch for a system file. The ROM is stock, the kernel is 99,9% stock. It has no effect to Camera2Api.
Hopefully modders like you will convince Sony and other OEMs to get their heads out of their arses and stop wasting time and money (both ours and theirs) with stupid $hit like these.
