As you can tell by the name, the Le 2 and Le 2 Pro
are the two more affordable choices out of the three, both sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p display,
a generous 3,000mAh fixed battery and a
10-core tri-cluster MediaTek chipset on the inside -- the X20 on the Le 2 and the faster X25 on the Le 2 Pro.
Both have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, but on the back, the Le 2 has a 16-megapixel main camera
whereas the Le 2 Pro has a 21-megapixel counterpart powered by a Sony IMX230 sensor -- the same chip inside the Moto X Pure Edition.
As for memory, both models come with 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM on the Le 2 and 4GB of RAM on the Le 2 Pro.
The more premium Le Max 2 has a larger and sharper 5.7-inch QHD screen,
a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, a more advanced ultrasonic fingerprint scanner,
a slightly larger 3,100mAh battery and Quick Charge 3.0 support.
It has the same pair of cameras as the Le 2 Pro, except its main camera has the added benefit of optical image stabilization.
Memory-wise it maxes out at 64GB of onboard storage with a whopping 6GB of RAM.
Thanks to the Qualcomm chipset, this model supports tri-band carrier aggregation,
thus allowing download speeds of up to 375 Mbps on supported networks.
CEO Jia Yueting later announced the prices:
1,099 yuan ($170) for the Le 2,
1,499 yuan ($230) for the Le 2 Pro,
2,099 yuan ($325) for the base-spec (4GB RAM and 32GB storage) Le Max 2
and just 2,499 yuan ($390) for the top-spec (6GB RAM and 64GB storage) version.
Pre-order starts on April 20th in China.

MediaTek Helio X20 / X25
the world’s first mobile processor with Tri-Cluster CPU architecture and ten processing cores (Deca-core).
Delivering extreme computing performance with unmatched power efficiency,
the new MediaTek Helio X20 / X25 processor is set to revolutionize the smartphone industry
and address the growing global demand for flagship mobile devices.
MediaTek Helio X20 / X25
provides three processor clusters, each designed to more efficiently handle different types of workloads.
Much like adding gears to vehicles, dividing the cores into three clusters provides a more efficient allocation of tasks
for optimum performance and extended battery life.
More gears, better fuel efficiency
It can delegate simple tasks to one cluster of cores, while directing more-complex (and more-power-hungry) tasks to the other clusters.
If the smartphone is doing only simple tasks - such as sending text messages or running the calculator - on one cluster,
the other clusters can power down, and therefore drive smoother performance and extended battery life.

From the looks on all the aliexpress.com stores selling the phone (64GB/6GB config is presell for like another 2 weeks) They show full band support for all LTE Bands with the versions they are selling... these tend to be fairly accurate since they don't want a bunch of returns happening... however, until confirmed by someone who actually buys one or the 4GB version... and tests it... I don't think we'll be able to uncover it completely. At least Huawei publicly has stated that they will continue to put the antenna's in for all LTE... we can only hope others like Leeco do the same to remain competitive.. on the lemall china site (Leeco's store), in the specs for the phone, they have a graphic that the phone is GLOBAL... so I'm thinking its about a 80/20 shot that it does support all bands with these 2 sets of info seemingly backing it up... :good:
once again like anything, you do it at your own risk.... but looks to be ok. :highfive:

It's just like AMD vs Intel. MTKs are cheaper but a bit less powerful, Qualcomm's Snapdragon are more expensive and more powerful.
As you can see the Snapdragon model costs more so it's better. Do you actually need that more power? Probably not.

HTC One M9 Plus vs HTC One M9

http://www.htc.com/in/smartphones/htc-one-m9-plus/ #HTCOneM9plus
Curious why there is no thread for this
Since both have clearly different hardware tech, can you guys post your opinions whether or not to get the sleek 5inches M9 or go for the bigger M9plus
Sent from my HTC One
Too bad it's only available for Chicom Charlie's at the moment. Hopefully it comes to the USA.
Sent from my HTC One m8
I'm sure that the grey market can provide one
But i'm curious as to the updates of the m9+ will it be the same as the max that it doesnt get too much attention
Sent from my HTC One
I am sure I will get the M9+ as I really don't like the square camera lens and the exactly same look.
No matter how hot the chick was from the last year I won't fuxk the same chick again especially when I have to pay more.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app
I also prefer to get m9+.
But the update for M9+ will be my first concern even the HTC said he will pay more attention on software update in the launch event at Beijing.
And where could we go to flash nice customized rom??
S-OFF will not be a problem but I will need TWRP to start with...
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Free mobile app
I bought the HTC one M9 on launch day in my country only to find out the HTC One M9+ launched a week later.
TBH, if i knew, I would get the M9+ in a heartbeat..
here you go, you guys have to remember it's running 2k larger screen with the exact same battery as mine
The Helio X10 CPU is a full octa 8x a53 2.2ghz vs Snapdragon 810 LITTLE.big octa 4x a53 1.5ghz + 4x a57 2.0ghz
28nm vs 20nm
32-bit dual-channel 933 MHz LPDDR3 (14.9 GB/sec) vs 64-bit dual-channel 1600 MHz (25.6 GB/s)
G6200 (2clusters) vs Adreno 430
2k vs FHD
2840mAH vs 2840mAH
at 2k the battery will surely be less than the M9 and the UI smoothness will suffer greatly as well, remember higher resolution requires more bandwidth and not less
equally the dark side of the MTK story is the GPU, their GPUs are piss poor for gaming
In the above video Qualcomm is making fun of MTK for their 170% Adreno 330 faster GPU on s801, the funny part? the s810 Adreno 430 GPU is almost 3x faster than the Helio X10 G6200
all that MTK cares about is higher Antutu scores rather than efficiency or real world performance (like gaming where you actually need power)
Despite the apparent pluses on the surface, the M9+ has weaker aspects compared to the M9:
3x weaker GPU yet the same 2840mAH battery running a 1.8x increase in LCD pixels and 0.2" increase
laughable against the M9 graphically, it's even weaker than the iPhone5s

M9+ Availability (source HTC)
We are excited to bring the HTC One M9+ to customers in China, where we have worked closely with mobile operators to create a phone with the right balance of screen size, processor performance, software, and radio network compatibility to meet consumers' needs.
The HTC One M9+ is currently available in China only and will be ranged in other markets, to be confirmed locally at a later date. Please follow your local country pages for availability information.
The One M9+ is not currently planned to be released in North America or Europe, where we believe our flagship, HTC One M9, is the best choice for blazing fast performance, incredible sound, and network compatibility across the broadest range of operators.
For more information on the HTC One M9+, including a full list of accessories, check out the product page: HTC One M9+ (China). (The product page will be live about 2 hours after this post is live; if you don't see it, please wait a little bit longer for our servers to catch up.)

Is the M9+ not going to get its own section?
Will just be confusing having it around here, very different device.
htc stated it wont be available in the us ... not even in europe. no chance htc said.... only china
in my opinion it was a silly move by HTC........especially that fingerprint sensor only home button is poor attempt at including a feature just for the sake of it.....
I am going to buy a flagship in may end and having a m9 or z4 to weigh my options(currently only s6) would have been nice.
The M9+ GPU got a slight a increase (G6200 2 clusters) but the M9 is still 2 to 3x faster, especially native
offscreen the M9+ is almost as fast as the M8 GPU, onscreen the M8 becomes faster, keep in mind that MTK clocks the GPU very high around 700mhz so against the M8 it will lose as it will throttle faster
3.1 not tested so far, for better perspective check the resutls against the iPhones

No, they said it is not currently planned. I am sure in the near future, they will release it in some other places. There is talk about it being here in Australia soon. ?
One thing to another
So I liked the M9+ it's nice change from Butterfly S, I liked the M9 too but many complained about it camera!!
So the M9+ has many adds to the M9 but the M9 is better for gaming.
Will I'm not a gamer!!
Would like to have the M9+ for it's wonderful style but afraid that it will not be supported in the future
So lets say that HTC will release it's new M9+M9 plus= M10 maybe with 3200 mah as well
maybe I'm dreaming
Honestly, I have little confident in MediaTek, correct me if i am wrong with this. Dev tend to support Qualcomm SoC more...

its just for the reason 800 mhz isnt used in china neither the other big export destinations
so the demand is too low to produce an extra 800mhz cellphone

Not mtk problem htc one x9 use the same chipset and very similar hardware as redmi note 2 but x9 runs 6.0
Just wait htc x9 ruu to released out and port it
yes I have Xiaomi Redmi note 2 with MTK This is last my phone of Xiaomi and also MTK BIG XIAOMI and MTK now DIE FAST all europe now **** MTK and Xiaomi play good in China its all of you got now
I suppose the trick is not to buy chinese brand phones with Mediatek chips. Get a chinese phone with some snapdragon, and you'll have the kernel source and all the updates you want. (of course then there'll be something else to worry about)
Haven't other MTK sources been published? X10?

Not all the Chinese manufacturers that make MTK phones are that bad, there are some that update their phones (sometimes even if MTK themselves have not updated their sources for the latest android versions) and some even post the sources (Elephone for example) but unfortunately those aren't as easy to get here in Romania as a Xiaomi device, sometimes though you can get a "clone" (not Elephone unfortunately but Gionee and others) of one of those other devices "made" (imported) by a local "manufacturer" (Allview mostly) but then you won't be sure the ROM from the original Chinese phone will work 100% as sometimes they request some hardware modifications (different WI-FI/BT chip, different screen, etc).

Well that is not necessarily true as I have seen manufacturers add different (separate) modem or WI-FI/BT chips even if the SOC already has it included, not really on phones but I sure have seen it on quite a few tablets.

I wanted to trade in my 4x, worth about CNY 300, for this 6x, but then I notice its with Kirin SoC. I think I should wait for a while to see.
Here is the official first look video of Honor 6x.

Its not gonna get its processor from outside while having its own processor. Forget buying it if this is your mindset.
For the average consumer the SOC is just a bunch of letters.
The consumers who do look for development are a restricted group.
It´s a good device, though. Too bad about development support.

I highly doubt so, HUAWEI using its own SoC to reduce costs, if go back to SD625/650, there would be a price spike...

No way. It will be using the same Kirin processor. The cost is similar to Honor 5X due to the usage of Kirin.

The Honor 6X was one of my favorite budget phones of last year. It came out in October of 2016 and the next release is expected to come out in October as well. Here are all the rumors about the phone so far:
Price
The expected launch price for the Honor 7X is $225 USD. This is around the same price as the 6X which launched at just a little over $200 as well. This keeps the 'X' model phone as one of the best values that Honor has to offer.
Design
If the pictures above are accurate, we will be seeing a completely new design for the Honor 7x. This would be a great change since the 6x and 5x seemed to struggle to find their identity in this department.
Display
It shouldn't be a surprise that the Honor 7X will most likely come with a 1080x1920 display. Once again, we will probably see the same 5.5" screen size as well.
Storage
For storage options there will be 32GB and 64GB models. No word on if the SD card slot will still be there, but Honor has been pretty consistent with offering an SD card slot in all of their phones. There is no reason to expect not to see it in the 7X
Camera
As for the camera it's expected to have a dual-camera setup with 12MP monochrome sensor + 12MP RGB sensor.
Battery
Honor may be going for a massive 4000 mAh battery in the Honor 7X. This would be the most significant upgrade for this new device.
Chipset and RAM
Expect to see the Kirin 670 which is a mid-range chipset. There will most likely see 4GB of RAM in this phone, just like the previous 6X.
That's everything that is known about this phone so far.

This phone initially has been presented with the name Honor V9 Mini, but yesterday an unknown device received a 3C certification in China, revealing the phone's true name: Honor 7X. I read that the price will be around 1499 Yuan for the 32GB variant and 1799 Yuan for the 64GB, something like 188€ for the 1st and 224€ for the 2nd. The operative system should be Nougat 7.1 with EMUI 5.1, and it should mantain the same position of the central fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, as the 6X. It should have an USB type-A port, and the hexa-core CPU should have 2 Moscow custom cores on 2,2 GHz, 4 Cortex A-53 cores on 2 GHz and the GPU should be a Mali-G7-MP4. Sadly, the good old 3,5mm audio jack should be missing. Oh yes, i've seen these 2 pictures that looks exactly the same phone from the picture in OP.

Me to, battery on honor 8 pro is pretty good performed.
What? Why usb type A port its not logical and why no headphone jack!! Do they want to ruin their phones

Dunno about the USB, but as i observed from recent reviews about recent devices on tech sites, the remotion of the headphone jack is a bad choice that other OEMs already took in consideration from at least one year on other phones... An example? There's a rumor saying that the Google Pixel 2 won't have it. It's only a rumor, but even the idea scares me.
Removing the headphone jack is a bad choice, especially for a mid-range device
Am I the only one finding similarity in design with OP5 except fingerprint scanner obviously

It takes so much time to release in india.
Due to Huawei's recent marketing decisions (removing every available update package from their database, not providing android 7.0 to Honor 5X, disabling via software some NFC chips on Honor 6X, etc) and the possibility that this phone will miss an headphone jack, I'm sure I won't ever buy, and neither suggest to anyone, it.
I prefer even number...so maybe 8x...
Looks promising
Hi, is there any chance that the honor 7X will be available in philippines
