Help! Need system.img!

Hi guys,
I got my friends Kindle Fire, a bricked one (he bought it cheap...). I got a motorola factory cable. This device got a TWRP OpenRecovery, FFF boot. And... empty /system partition!
I would be very very gratefull for a system.img to flash it from fastboot using my factory cable.
Thanks in advance!
Are you saying you have fff &twrp installed?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Yes, but i cannot flash an update.zip from twrp.
E:failed to mount /sdcard (invalid argument)
E:Can't mount /sdcard/update.zip
E:failed to mount /sdcard (invalid argument)
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/update.zip'
Go into mount and check that only sdcard is ticked
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I cannot tick it. Only 'cache' can be ticked
does adb work?
Yes. I pushed update.zip to sdcard, so yes - it's working
type this and show me the output
$ adb shell
~ # dmesg | grep mmc0
~ # dmesg | grep mmc0
dmesg | grep mmc0

ok you are safe from the only kindle killing bug known

it looks like your partitions are messed up.
if you try the above command it should show your partitions. you may have to do a fastboot oem format.
sorry wrong command above.

ok all good there.
make sure your usb is connected
turn off kindle (hold button for at least 20 seconds)
cd to where you have fastboot and type, fastboot oem format and press enter
it should say "waiting for device"
then press power button on kindle
this should format the partitions back to factory settings.
post the outcome and i will advise
C:\kfu\tools>fastboot oem format
... OKAY [ 0.063s]
finished. total time: 0.063s
C:\kfu\tools>
ok your using kfu.
is there an option to install fff & twrp again?
KFU is trying to install twrp, but when it's reloading i'm getting back to twrp, not fastboot mode.
I can install twrp via factory cable.
(I think this device was erased in some way. In TWRP / Advanced / File Manager folder /system is empty. I pushed sh to /system/bin with adb, before asking for this img in this thread)
you now need to push a rom onto the sdcard use this as its the base of ics at the minute.

yes now you mention it 0.063 seconds does sound fast to format all partitions back to factory set

Hmm... i got stock kindle fire bin file and MoDaCo Custom ROM for the Kindle Fire.
I can try one of them
down load twrp 2.1 from here and flash it with fastboot.
(fastboot is only on for a small time on each boot, so turn off kindle again, issue fastboot flash recovery /place/path/to/twrp2.1/here.img enter
should say "waiting for device"
then power on this should install twrp again (incase your twrp is duff)

I tried various methods suggested and finally I can get back to the normal mode and can download flashing stock rom.
and these are the steps I did to get back to normal download mode works fine now, hope this works for you too
Download the laf.img file from here
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D802/Stock_Firmware/10b_EUR_16G_partitions
Code:
You need an OTG cable for this
Copy the file from the otg storage to your sdcard
Open twrp terminal and select the sdcard folder
Type this dd if=/sdcard/laf.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf
This will surely fix your download mode
Worked for me...
turn off the device after you make that step, vol up, connect the device to the PC after entering download mode as in the picture my case before him, press the power button a few times
and taraaaaa the device back to normal mode download
Please return your stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

I'm in a similar situation, no download mode.
D802 that works fine (tried both CM11 based and Stock based roms), I have recovery (TWRP), but I want to go back to 100% stock, and download mode is stuck in the splash screen, like in yours.
Now I could flash some of the zipped stock roms packed for recovery, but if for some reason my phone wouldn't boot, I wouldn't have download mode...
So I will stay in CM11 for now, because flashing something else is simply not safe.
Thanks

I was in the same condition.
I wanted to flash my stock KDZ but it was getting stuck at the initial logo of Download mode
You can fix your download mode by this method as the laf.img is the "Download mode" partition image
Since you are on CM11, you don't need an OTG cable, just copy it to your sdcard and run the command from your TWRP terminal
You will be able to flash KDZs and return back to stock...
same problem but I can not enter to recovery .hahaha bring it to lg service to change m/b.

I'm unfortunately again in a similar situation, and the proposed resolution won't be applicable.
So.. I went stock, but I wanted to try some other AOSP based roms again. I downloaded FreeGee, and with this new version, it didn't only mess my laf partition as expected, but it also didn't install any recovery (tried TWRP and CWM, of course; ending with some weird error message). So now I'm in rooted stock, with no download mode and no custom recovery mode (stock recovery works just fine).
Any ideas? I tried to run the command in OP from terminal emulator with SU permissions, and even tough i saw a success message at the end, it seems it doesn't really do the job.

Install flashify from playstore and flash a custom recovery
Then go in recovery and push the laf image through terminal

and these are the steps I did to get back to normal download mode works fine now, hope this works for you too
Download the laf.img file from here
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D802/Stock_Firmware/10b_EUR_16G_partitions
Code:
You need an OTG cable for this
Copy the file from the otg storage to your sdcard
Open twrp terminal and select the sdcard folder
Type this dd if=/sdcard/laf.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf
This will surely fix your download mode
Worked for me...
turn off the device after you make that step, vol up, connect the device to the PC after entering download mode as in the picture my case before him, press the power button a few times
and taraaaaa the device back to normal mode download
Please return your stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

Software Problems in my Redmi 2 2014818 - HardBrick

Hello,
This story started few days ago I am having REDMI 2 (2014818) and was using it On Lolipop Rom MIUI 7 Of REDMI 2 PRIME(because of VoLTE) with TWRP 3.0 then after I wanted to downgrade to 4.4 of Redmi 2 4G Rom.
So I flashed using Mi Flash Tool Latest but it's results was bad and flash failed with error showing missing file and after that by mistake I flashed Mi Note 4G rom in confusion it also showed error and the situation was :-
* Phone was not Booting up
* Not Response of Power Button
* No Response Of charging
* Can't Access FASTBOOT or Recovery
* No Reaction when it was attached to PC - Basically my phone was Hard Bricked.
So I went through it and attached a wire in NEW TESTPOINT and it started Dedecting in PC with battery only as - °Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" in task Manger. I am using Windows 7 32bit with Driver enforcement Disabled
So I proceeded for flashing via latest Mi Flash Tool (2016.08.30.0) and Latest Redmi 2 Global Stable FastBoot Rom (MIUI 8)
First I flashed and Got Error of "Ping Target Failed"
and when I retried 2nd time I Got Error "cannot receive hello packet"
I tried many times, Restarted Pc, changed pc, ran as administrator etc but nothing helped.
So, secondly I gave a try with old MI Flash Tool (2015.10.28.0) with Latest Redmi 2 Global Stable FastBoot Rom (MIUI 8)
First I got error of "reached the end of file . . . . . "
and when I retried the error came like instalation can't perform waiting device . . . .
And at Bottom It was Flashing device Busy and a Disable Driver Signature enforcement Popup came tried that also but nothing worked.
I am Attaching log of Latest MI flash Tool.
The I tried Snapdragon flash tool But that also not worked. I have attached the screen shot.
Now Finally I need your help to get My phone Life back and I can't sent it to service center because it is out of warranty and they will go for Motherboard replacement which is costly. I have tried my best to solve it but I failed please help me.

Hardbrick is also happen to me when i changed CM13 to MIUI8...
This is happen because you erase boot in the phone's ROM. That contain boot file to start Rom, Fastboot, Charging and Recovery......
So ,the phone cannot fix with any software.....
You need to change you phone's hardware ROM or motherboard to fix this....
So, go to nearest MI service center.
you need to pay money even have warranty...

Flash fast boot rom
Use Mi flash 20151028 (google it)
Use old MiFlash version and it works
See the thread "thread-354050-1-1.html" on en.miui.com (form the URL yourself using en.miui.com and the thread name given)
Use old miflash version. I had exact same problem and the above thread worked for me
U can easily switch to Lp miui to Kk miui with 50mb fimrwares flashing through twrp ?.
No need of mi flash tool.
I have uploaded the firmwares to my drive.
Miui Lp (for volte...kk won't work) - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw3_QwnI11oUTlZ3TTM5S3NOQ2M/view?usp=drivesdk
Miui Kk Firmware, after flashing from twrp clean rom and install miui kk to get booted up (volte will not work) in custom roms - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw3_QwnI11oUUzhtQ3JucUdQRnc/view?usp=drivesdk
