Calling issue with zenfone laser 2 - Zenfone 2 Laser Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Recently purchsed zenfone laser 2 and i am facing an unusual problem. While dialing any number the touch becomes insensitive. You need to either double tap or touch very hard in order to make any call. However ther is no touch issues else where in the phone. Rest of the touch works smooth. Also when you touch on any number to call that number automatically goes from ur screen. I dont know what this issue is but its very irritating as its the very basic function of phone. Please help what to do. Also tried true dialer but same issue persists though frequency is low. Pls pls help.

I have never experienced this problem. You can install and try another Dialer from the Play store.

Help : Ambient Light Sensor probably error

Hello,
i am facing this problem.
When making or receiving a call screen of the device should go black when near ear and to normal when far from ear.
This is not working for me. I bought the device yesterday installed few software and then placed the sim card and realized that.
One software i suspect that might causing the problem is BsB Tweak 1.6 that i have installed. Maybe any option of this??
Does anyone else having similar problem?? Any suggestions on how resolving that?? Any third party software to manage the sensors or any option or registry tweak??
**Actually when making a call the screen goes blank but without ending the call and when a button pressed only the screen comes on with call options.
On incoming call the screen is always active.
Maybe have made anything wrong.
Pls kindly advice
THX
anyone????? AMybe is the proximity sensor??
Hi Kangoor.
I am running stock 1.66 ROM with BsB tweaks, and do not have this problem.
What ROM are you running, if it is not 1.66, then download the official ROM for your area and upgrade.
Also, if you suspect it is something you may have installed, try to hard reset the phone, this will basically format the device, and return it to the original factory state.

Telephone Blocks on Call

Hi,
I have a problem with my HTC Legend:
When calling someone often the proximity sensor activates before I put the phone on my ear and the screen goes off but when I try to turn it on again there is no key active and the phone seems to be not responsive for a while.. Sometimes I need to take the battery out to restore it.
Please note sometimes it works correctly, sometimes not. Also I am not using any protectors.
This is a big issue because the phone becomes unusable very easy on an outgoing call. Does anyone know if this is a problem with the Software version or it's a hardware issue. And are there any apps that can solve this?
Thank you

[Q] Keypad under display don't work

Hello! I have bought from a person a P3600 and it seems that the keypad under display don't work, if I try to do a hard reset the keys work fine, but after that don't. I don't think that's a hardware problem. Is anyone who can help me with this?

Multi touch issue s8

Hello all
I just got a UK unlocked s8 and I love it but I'm having an issue with the multi touch.
It cannot register multi touch properly. I notice the issue whilst typing on the keyboard.
I downloaded those multi touch tester and if I put my left thumb and 2 fingers from my right hand then place them on the screen at the same time, it does not always register 3 touches. If you move your fingers then it will.
Anyone have this issue?
Could it be another app that is causing the issue?
Faulty screen?
Thanks
Okay so I've worked it out. The issue occurs when I set the phone to qhd! If I use full HD then the issue goes away. How lame is that!
Edit. I've set qhd again and this time it appears to be working. I'll monitor this
I got 10 touch registered with no problem, before running out of fingers and screen is set for maximum resolution, never noticed any missing touches either. Not sure why yours would be different.
Well I guess me changing the resolution messed something up. Changing them back and forth sorted the issue out
I was having the same problem with my galaxy s8 plus. It couldn't recognize more than 2 fingers. At last I got a solution. That is, just go to your call dailer and then ty-pe *#2663# then update TSP. And you are ready to rock 10 fingers.
same problem

I have the same problem. Whenever i play a FPS game using 4 fingers it only allows me to use 2 fingers. Rebooting the phone only temporarily solves the problem before it comes back. Changing the resolution solves it temporarily as well. Is there any other solutions?

Phone call issues

Hello there,
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition user here.
I am having a problem every time I make phone calls. The problem is that suddenly, during a phone call, after few moments screen turns ON and it is annoying. I need to turn it OFF instantly by myself because if I don't turn it OFF it happens my face touches the buttons, keyboard and other parts of screen so several unwanted actions are performed during the call. It happens constantly so I think it is not just by accident.
For example, when having a call via WhatsApp that issue isn't happening so I think is related to Phone app.
I have had a bunch of smartphones in the past and I didn't have such a problem with either of them.
Can someone help me how to solve this issue or does someone other have it as well?
Thanks.

So you are saying it only happens on the phone app when you hold it to your face? What if you did a call via speakerphone only.
I ask this as I had a phone previously that the proximity sensor had issues and screen would come on when the phone was held up against my head. Could be a hardware problem.

Yes. If I do a phone call via speakerphone there is no such a issue. Even I feel that this is proximity sensor issue but just wanted to check here whether someone had similar problems.
