d802 Post unbricking problems - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys.
Recently I managed to brick and then succesfully unbrick my LG g2 d802 using SRK tool. After that the phone wasn't recognized by PC anymore. Nevertheless, I bricked it once more by mistake and I managed to unbrick it using SRK tool. What was weird was that using the tool I could write the .img files to the corresponding partitions, but after I unbrick the phone, install ANY ROM whatsoever, the phone isn't recognized by PC anymore.
In device manager I can see LGE Modem and LGE Port, but no Phone Drive in My Computer. Can't flash the stock anymore because of that, and I'd really want to go back to stock...
Another issue I'm facing is with the lockscreen on any ROMs based on Stock, every time I restart the phone the lockscreen resets to NONE.
With any custom ROM installed the Virtual Navigation Keys are not shown until I edit the build.prop
Not to mention the LEDs are either not working or staying on any time I unlock the screen,
Anyone with the same problems here?

Thank you for your reply.
It was impossible for me to go back to stock with TOT method, but yesterday I fixed the phone after 6 months.
For a weird reason the download mode was broken, LG Flash TOOL was always giving an error. After I flashed SRK's Stock flashable ROM the download mode started to work again (might be a coincidence).
I managed to install the latest KDZ available for d802 (with CSE Flash, from LG Flash TOOL) and finally got the phone fully working, stock version, all functionality is back.
Thank you again for your reply.

everything you need is here.
check again if you don't have USB connection of any kind. If you do have something in the PC responding to the G2 being connected, it isn't a hard brick and you can fix it with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
Otherwise you just have to do this short the caps thing. Be careful and renember that this is always a better option than staying with a bricked device. You can also try to give the phone to some experienced repaired and tell him about the method and how will it cost.

Thanks for the reply.
But it says:

VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!
You must use the img files that correspond to the ROM you have installed before getting the problem to avoid breaking your phone. The link above is for 10b_EUR_16G firmware version. So don't use those files if your firmware version was not that one. Instead you should look for img files corresponding to the current version installed in your phone. If you don't know what version you've installed then don't use this method because you will break your phone.

You have to know which model your phone is.
Do you know your phone's IMEI? http://www.lgkdz.com/ Go here and it will get the file you need to download via your IMEI (even though it is risky to put the IMEI in the internet).
Otherwise you can just search for your kdz file by knowing what model you have and what stock rom you had last time. You can always revert to that.
Mine is D802 32GB, has V30b-EUR software. That is enough for me to get the correct kdz file even by searching in the links provided in the tutorials I mentioned in my last message

Do you have access to download mode? Since your PC recognizes the phone as MTP Device, I'm not sure but I think that's only possible if you have /system/ working since the other partitions don't have MTP support originally.
If you have that, go there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Flash with the tot method and you should be good to go.
But wait for someone who can confirm what I'm saying since I'm no expert.

Problem Going back to stock !

HI There ! I own a LG F320L for sometime now. It came with Kitkat 4.4.2 installed and then i flashed it with CloudyG2 rom and have been using it ever since. For the past 1 month I have this strange touch screen issue with erratic behaviour and phantom touches. It has been addressed as software related issue and going back to stock has fixed some of the users problem.
Now to the main issue, I followed the tutorial of LG FLASH TOOL Method upto the point. Installed drivers and have downloaded the KDZ for stock kitkat but when I enter the download mode and LG flash tool begins to start it doesnt even verify my phone. It keeps stopping at 2% software extraction (sometimes 4%) and then a dialog appears saying Disconnect phone and remove battery and then again put the battery in and connect your phone and try. I have been trying it for many hours but it doesnt make any difference. I have used unrooter tool to unroot my phone for download mode. I have also tried the TOT method for going back to stock but no success. Whenever I plug in my device it appears in device manager but it is not recognized by FLash tool still. Please help me. I have TWRP 2.8.4.0 Recovery installed.
I am running windows 8.1 X64. The drivers install with no problem.
P.S I have searched all the threads regarding flash tool problems and download mode recognition. I didnt find anything helpful.

d802 - no os, no recovery. only download mode. flashtool doesn't work

Hi,
I've tried installing a new rom and messed it all up in the process.
Currently I don't have an OS nor recovery, only download mode.
If I'm trying to enter recovery mode and connecting the phone to the computer, the computer recognizes the phone as 13 drives, I guess it's one per partition (a weird behavior that didn't happened to me yet). throwing errors and suggesting to format them.
Fastboot isn't working (also didn't worked before), not recognizing the phone.
I've tried following some guides with two different lg flash tools, one with kdz and the other with dll and tot. From the kdz one - it just didn't recognized the phone, so nothing happens.
I guess it has to do with drivers, but I've tried a bunch and nothing changed.
DO you have any ideas about the problem, or suggestions about exact drivers?
Thanks a lot,
Ariel
EDIT:
I've managed to fix that, it all sums up to driver problems.
The solution that worked for me:

Try diferent computer or laptop, and download latest drivers from lg, and flash jb kdz hope it will work.
Try to install a .tot file. If not u might have to try on linux another method I saw on htcmania
Just ask on the right place, maybe you will get a better support
I have experienced all of these errors, no recover, no download, fast boot, no display.
There are 2 solutions.
1 is flashing TOT. Very very easy, flashes Kitkat Rom, formats everything.
2, try srktool, It saved me many times.
try srk tool if its not work come back
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
Thanks all for your ideas!
That's what I've did at the end, and now it works again
SOLVED:
(if it will help anyone else, then great)
I've followed this instructions to remove all the android drivers from my computer with usbdeview program.
After that I've installed LGUnitedMobileDriver.
Then, to flash a kdz I've downloaded:
LG Flash Tool
A kdz file - I've used Europe Open D80230b.kdz (I think it was from here)
Finally, after all was done, I've used the OneClickRootRecovery tool to bring back root and twrp.
Installed a new rom as usual.

Bricked a G2 (D802) pretty unusual

Hello guys,
So I bricked my D802 , how? first it was bricked because of a wrong version of TWRP, untill here no problem, i tried many tutorials on how to go back to stock rom, then i found that it was a Qualcom thing problem, so I found that tutorial about replacing the .img files etc... , pretty easy, i could enter the recovery menu, but it had no rom, i downloaded the stock rom kdz file , started flashing it, then, for some dumb reason the flashing stopped, I ... plug out the usb cable... I didn't notice untill I saw that the program froze, and now the phone is stuck at the LG logo, impossible to do anything, pc doesn't recognize it, can't go to recovery menu, can someone help me please? or at least tell me if I should just throw that phone or keep it if it has a chance of living a bit longer

I had a very similar problem with it getting stuck at the logo after pushing supersu to the phone. I followed Supersport every single step of the way in his video. I think his links are the only valid ones online now, so just download them and reflash your phone. If your G2 is anything like mine, drivers will never appear to be installed correctly and it never restarts, only shuts down.
His method is:
1) Download and install LG drivers on PC
2) Download and install the flash tool and patch it
3) Download and load the .tot and .dll files into the flash tool
4) Enter download mode on G2 by holding volume up while connecting USB
5) Switch G2 Com port to 41 in device manager
6) Once Flash tool shows that all ports are ready, power down G2 and disconnect
7) Hold volume up and reconnect to get back into download mode
8) LG Flash tool starts flashing
9) Complete
Note: If your G2 was screwed up as bad as mine, it'll say failed but all the main system files will load to the device before it restarts and it'll even shut itself off while doing it's installation on first reboot. Mine somehow was still revived from this state with his method.
