After reading a lots of thread in this forum, i think many of users are suffering form the same problem, so i decided to write a full tutorial to restore the original SN in the about phone settings. i also face the same problem when first time i flashed a stock row ROM using SP flash too, i accidentally clicked on "Format+Download" then i got nvram, imei and sn/pn, problem.
The IMEI, WiFi MAC, BT MAC and PN can be easily recovered(permanently) using the "SN writer tool", but one thing that can not be recovered by this tool is SN of your phone.
So here is the tutorial and the lists of tools which are required to restore the SN of your phone.
Tools:-
1. Modem and Database files from same rom version.
2. Sp meta tool
Tutorial:
1. Start SP_META (Note: The second program of the set). If the proposed version of the program can not connect to the phone, then try to pick up* a different version .
2. Select the option "AP NVRAM Editor".
3. Press Reconnect. circle will flash from red to green.
4. Remove and put the battery again. If this is not possible, after switching off the unit wait 1 minute.
5. Turning off the machine connected to a computer standard "MicroUSB cable."
6. When the program is successfully connected to the phone screen appears "AP Editor".
In the "AP Editor" click "read from NVRAM". The program will ask for APDB. Select the file (usually starts at APDB _...) from apdb factory firmware folder for SP Flash Tool. For example for the A850 + file named APDB_MT6592_S01_ALPS.JB9.MP_ and size 163Kb for A606 file named APDB_MT6582_S01_KK1.MP3_ and size of 162Kb. The main thing that this file is included with the firmware that is now on your phone. It is important!

• In the left pane, open the tree: "a LID Other -> AP_CFG_CUSTOM_FILE_ CUSTOM_SN _LID -> 1"
• Click "read from NVRAM".
• In the right pane to open: "Barcode array [64]".
Fill 8 or more groups of elements. each symbol SN in HEX-format,
Barcode array [0] - 0x03,
Barcode array [1] - 0x35,
Barcode array [2] - 0x01,
Barcode array [3] - 0x05,
Barcode array [4] - 0x06.
Barcode array [5] -. 0x0F
Barcode array [6] - 0x11
Barcode array [7] - 0x14.
Note:- Do not enter the same values as above enter your sn in hex form, after 0(zero)x(two digits of your hex sn)
you can use this web site to convert your sn into hex, http://goo.gl/QiLNXH
press disconnect button and restart your device, you fixed your SN permanently

Step 8 - Once you have successfully located the DFU compatible firmware folder then it will be automatically Seen in the Broadcom Download Firmware Utility (DFU) tool.
Step 9 - Once Firmware is added successfully in DFU tool, then Tap on the Download Menu.
Step 10 - Now, Click on Start button to begin the flashing.
Step 11 - Now, connect your Broadcom Chipset based Android Smartphone to the computer (make sure it Is in Power Off)
Step 12 - After Connecting your device to the computer, Press Volume UP or Down Button on your Device so that DFU can detect it.(If it is not detected automatically).
Step 13 - Once Broadcom Download Firmware utility (DFU) will detect your device, the Flashing process will begain automatically.
Step 14 - Once Flashing is completed, a Finish message will appear.
Step 15 -Now, close Broadcom Download Firmware utility application and disconnect your Android Device From the computer.
Congratulations, Now your Android Device is successfully running the Stock Rom you have Downloaded.

I have been trying many ways to spoof my MAC ID so as to bypass the MAC filter in my college Wi-Fi network.
This is a tested method that works flawlessly and there is no need to type long commands over and over to change the mac each time we want to connect to the network.
Tools Required :
Root
ES File Explorer
HEX Editor
A Brain
First of all, open ES File Explorer and from the menu ( Swipe from the left edge of the screen ) , Enable Root Browsing.

You will get a dialog from SuperSU requesting permission to grant Root Access, Click Allow.
Then navigate to "/persist/" directory in ES and there will be a file named

WCNSS_qcom_wlan_factory_nv.bin
Make a backup of this file to any location you like before editing this.
Open HEX Editor and enable Root permissions from menu to be able to edit system files.
In Wifi -> Advanced , you can see your current MAC ID for me it was "14:xx:xx:xx:xx:0c" just make a mental note of the starting value and ending value. I wanted to change my MAC to "80:86:xx:xx:xx:5b".
Now open the original file with HEX Editor, and you can see a grid of numbers and few letters . In the first line , there will be cell with the staring value of your MAC ID ( 14 in my case ) .
Click on that and enter the first value of the MAC that you want to change to ( 80 in my case ) . Then change next 5 cells' values to the corresponding ones of the new MAC ID .
Save the File, just reopen and check if everything is done properly and reboot your phone...
Now you can see that the new MAC ID is seen in your wifi settings and that you can connect seamlessly into MAC Filtered Networks !

The strange thing is that I can comunicate with the phone, wehn it is in fastboot mode.
I was able to connect the phone to the computer and overwrite the recovery image wit cwm.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Now I somehow managed to get acces to the phone by installing the xiami_usb_driver (http://bigota.d.miui.com/tools/xiaomi_usb_driver.rar)
but everytime I disconnect and connect the device it shows up in device manager as Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed), then I have to uninstall this driver and scan for HW changes
this is very inconvenient but connecting devices via OTG does not work at all
and there is still a strange USB Device showning up in the task manager

But you can update the driver through windows itself
Errrm manage and copy files through Mi PC Suite
Errrm use adb comands in twrp (almos useless)
Wipe user data

I have a second device also a HM2014813 and working without a problem. I made a full backup with TWRP (http://en.miui.com/thread-120001-1-1.html) and restored it on my troublemaking device. USB connection is still only possible, whenn I first uninstall the Unknown Device from device manager:
furthermore the android is telling me that the I have an Invalid Devce ID: null
Is there anything I can do to enable this OTG and correct the usb device id?

I did not have no backups ... starts with just TWRP
Just follow these steps
1. Download the official lollipop firmware for ur phone from the Asus website
2. Remove ur Sd card and either put it in another phone or an sd card reader
3. Connect the device or the reader to the computer and transfer the firmware to it
4. Put the sd card back in the original phone and boot to twrp
5. Go to install and then select storage as micro sd
6. Select the firmware ( it will be in a zip format)and flash it.
7. Then reboot should be good as new.
You'll have to unlock the boot loader again and root it again as well

Solution to problem no 2.
For this solution you have to install latest QPST tool.
Once installed go into this folder
-->C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin
and then open the software named as Download.
Then click the restore tab .
At this point switch off the phone and the click and hold the volume + and power button together .
Once a menu appears in blue screen asking to boot in several modes just leave it there and connect it to the computer.
The connected port should appear in the port section.
This means the device is connected in diagnostic mode
Now select the qcn file and click start.

Receiving error message
Every time I try to restore my QCN files using QFIs it says Invalid commnad received from phone ... What is the real problem and when I try to restore via QPST it just says checking phone connection (repeats) and failed to restore QCN... What to do

Your imei too have changed, that you can fix using hex editor and converting your imei to hex and replace in existing qcn file using any hex editor, and flashing qcn again with proper imei, you can change the serial no in same qcn file but its not a big issue it will not create any problem,

By powerin up your phone with pressing vol. Up की and power key, the blue screen emerges is diag mode

Open any hex editor and place the qcn with with you have converted your imei In it and search the existing serial number in it and replace it with your device serial no and save it as you have done with your imei and flash that qcn again using qpst tool
But serial number is not a hex code so how can I find it in my qcn file

Brother first of all flash the qcn which you have downloaded and note down the serial no which came with that qcn, then open hex editor and search the serial no you have noted which was in qcn, now replace it with your device serial no. Which you can found it on various imei checker website,
Now after editing serial no reflash it using qpst tool,
Serial no. Is not written in hex form it will be numeric form you can easily search it in hex editor app and replace it and save it to reflash

That's my first post on Lenovo k6 forum so a newbie question
The last update for our phone was k33_s231_171114_ROW i have only found a single link that provide qcn file for this version and most importantly mentions the 2gb variant k33a48
can any experienced user confirm that the link and method here are 'ok' that'll be great help

Another thing if someone can guide me following the method above will also change my serial number and iemi right? If yes then what can i do to prevent it
Last thing my region is PAK which i think doesn't matter as it can be changed after fresh qfil flash.
If these questions gets answered this post can also work as the update to op.
