Thank you. But I tried it and did not find any settings to disable back and menu buttons in Simple Control.

An app named Floating Menu, similar to Pie control, but is in Chinese language only. I can use it for back/home/menu/lock screen/capture screen.
And nova launcher gestures for quick settings and notifications.

Sorry if this is old news but I seen a few people asking if you could disable these especially over at the clean Rom thread cause the developer included soft keys in the rom. Anyways again I'm sorry if this is old news but you go to accessibility/access control. It then walks you through a series of steps like if you want certain parts of the screen to not be affected by touch and so on. I thought this was pretty sweet. Not sure if it's for all models and firmware but worth a shot!

I'm on stock and I can't find Access Control in Accessibility. Is this a CleanRom only feature?

No... I'm stock right now. I don't remember seeing it before so not sure how I got it there. Maybe from exposed?

It's all the way at the very bottom of Accessibility. It is listed under Recognition. Turn it on. Then hold down the home button and and volume down to enter the wizard.
It should be helpful for when I do note taking at a meeting so I don't have to worry about touching the physical buttons. But for Button Savior Pro it disables the Home, Menu and Back so it's not something I can have on all the time. Plus the notification drawer cannot be interacted with anymore while this mode is on.

I can open the drawer just fine. You just can't touch any of the notifications after you open the drawer.

Weird... Did you x out of the past that says disable parts of the screen with touch? Wonder why it does that.

Double tap home button to open GNow?

Is it possible to open Google now instead of crappy s voice when you double tap the home button? I've tried home2 but it's not a great solution. Eventually my phone started redrawing my launcher when going back to the homescreens.
Yes .
Of course.
Use wanam xposed.
Yiu can select any app you want

In wanam all I see is an option to change the longpress behavior. It does open gnow, but I have no way to open recents with that function reassigned.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've used Nova, I just don't like it personally.

*NOVA LAUNCHER* Double tap to lock

Here is a work around to the popular double tap to lock when using Nova Launcher.
All you need to do is to download "screen off and lock" from the Google Play store, then go into Nova's "gestures and buttons" settings menu and tie double tap to the screen off and lock app.
Then it should work as it does with the standard launcher.
Thank for the tip
Or if you have greenify you can tie the double tap to hibernate and it does exactly he same. Actually I prefer since, I use greenify on my phone anyways.

Scrren Off app + Nova Launcher Pro with the gesture option (double tap executing the screen off)
Just works! :good:
With 3rd party lock apps I had issues with the keylock activating even though i had smartlock set to deactivate my pin when my phone is connected to my pebble watch. So i now use tasker to double tap off with nova from anywhere on the screen.
In tasker set up a new task to mimic a press of the power button:
New task>code > run shell> Command> input keyevent 26
Tick use root access.
Then point novas double tap gesture to the task. Because its mimicking the power button press it doesn't interfere with smartlock.

Hi
In nova settings > gestures> double tap> shortcuts> task shortcuts> select the name you gave to the task you created.

Hi and thank you. I did that and it interacts with tasker on double tap, as i see the message from super su. I guess i didn't set up tasker as it should.. Any ideas?
Not sure but you might need to give the task in tasker an icon for it to work?

Bottom bezel with hidden buttons?

I accidentally found out that if you swipe up on the bottom bezel Google Now opens.
Is this a hidden feature because it is nowhere mentioned in the Settings App.
It's the home (navigation)button. Look for navigation key in settings.

I am aware of the settings for the home button but I am talking about the area to the left and right of the home button.
Not a feature, it's a nuisance if you ask me.

Yeah is so annoying is there anyway can disable it
It's only working when you have disabled the Navigation Bar.
I would like to disable it as well but I don't want to have the Navigation Bar.
I'm using swipe launch disabler from play Store to disable Google now swiping up.

Same here. My Navigation Bar is disabled, but mine doesn't do it either. (Thank god)
EDIT: Just realized something. This doesn't happen on mine because I had already disabled the Google App in 'Settings'.

Navigation Geatures question.

For those that are using the navigation gestures. Have you noticed that the back button on the right or left stops working. Only gesture that works is the swipe home.
Everything is fine on my phone. Stock ROM, blu.spark kernel, rooted, OOS 9.0.5.
Haven't had any problems here either, working as it should the whole time
I am on stock 9.0.5 and it happens every once in awhile.

I've been using gestures nav since I got the device 2 days ago and so far I haven't had any issues with it.
I just had the issue 5 minutes ago. The back just stops working. I get the haptic feedback but does nothing. Only swipe to go home works. After I go home it starts working again.

That could be the app that you were running at the time. They can override the default behaviour of the back button. Can you remember what app you were using? I know for a fact I have a few apps that make you press back twice before they will exit.

The nice and quick "drag and throw" kind of gesture doesn't work in landscape, if that's what you're referring to. You just get the recent apps list and select the last app from there.

Yes, which is how you can bring up the recent apps list, but you can't do the quick throw gesture to toggle the last app, like you can in portrait.

I thought the same maybe it was one app causing the issue but it stopped working in different apps.

Too bad you can't do this with the Google gestures. With the Oneplus gestures I miss the toggle to turn screen off [emoji16]
I am wondering if Textra is the issue. Is anyone using Textra? Or is everyone using stock messaging app?
